LabCorp

Came in early one morning without a reservation, was taken immediately, blood drawn and on my way in less than 20 minutes. Very positive experience. I agree with Chris that «The receptionist/​phlebotomist was on the ball, friendly (and a little cutie :)).» And I can add, extremely well organized and professional.

Been her 3 times now. Very satisfied with the phlebotomist who have been professional, friendly and organized. Two times I was taken in immediately as there was nobody else waiting, once I waited 25″ but I knew I was a walk in without an appointment. Overall very satisfied with Labcorp including ordering on line to receiving results in timely manner.

I’ve been here 4 times in the last 2 years to get blood drawn. Never had an issue.
I scheduled the appointments on line. Office is very clean 4^th floor of a business building on the foot of Telegraph Hill/​Levi Plaza. Place is clean and empty (both great in my opinion). The receptionist/​phlebotomist was on the ball, friendly (and a little cutie :)). Poked my arm, took my blood and I was on my way!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I went in for a routine lab draw and my arm was a complete mess afterwards. First my bicep was really sore for a few days after the draw then I started getting all these crazy bruises. I discussed this with a dr and they said the person did not take the tourniquet off when they were supposed to which caused all the bruising (it was probably too tight as well). This place is close to my OBGYN office so the location is convenient but I will never go back again. 2 weeks later, my arm is still recovering from the terrible bruises.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! MINUS STAR! If you don’t have an appointment, don’t even bother! If I could give negative stars, I would based on my experience today!
Wait time: 45 minutes, for a bloodtest that was administered 40 minutes LATE, than as directed by doctor. Another couple’s wait time, 1 hr 10mins & counting…
ONE waitstaff: checking people in AND administering the tests for 8 ppl in the waiting room while I was there, who knows how much more were there or are coming later in the day! How insane is this?!
For such a big company like LabCorp, how can they not afford or schedule a second person – to even CHECK PPL IN for goodness sakes! The gal was busy, I understand that, but she barely glanced at my labsheet when I tried to tell her I was checking. She simply said, did you sign in? yes, have a seat. I figured she saw my lab workup, so if she’s saying my glucose test (a timed test, which should be administered in an hr after ingesting the glucose solution) can wait, wait I will. She should know best, right?
45 minutes later, I’m still not even entered into the computer system. Another pregnant woman came in and waited a few minutes and then interrupted her, saying she had a time sensitive test. To which I added, so do I! Which has been past due 40 minutes ago! The technician claimed she didn’t know… umm ok, that’s not going to fly. She called her supervisor to see if it’s still ok to do the test, and they claim it is. I told her she has to call my doctor and confirm that it would still be accurate, to which she says she will do later (will she even?!).
Why, why do we have to pay incredulously for these tests when we have to wait ridiculous times for? If having only ONE staff makes financial sense to LabCorp, why not make their office by appointment only? It’s stupid because Golden Gate OBGYN refers their patients to this office because it’s literally right around the corner, so why not pick up the slack and offer some service here?!
This scenario is not unique to this location alone, I’ve been to the Stonestown location as well, saw a line OUT THE DOOR, piling into the hall. At the sight of this, I simply turned back & decided I’ll just do my labwork thru the hospital instead. It shows they are ok with taking your money, but having ZERO respect for your time and ZERO customer service simply because we need these tests to be done.
All I can say is that I’m sorely disappointed in my experience today. The girl claims she did ask people if anyone had a time sensitive test, but obviously that was NOT asked when I arrived. Given the nature of her situation, I would normally be empathetic towards her, having to do EVERYTHING on her own, but I believe she made a huge error on her part, by not bothering to even check my lab sheet before she told me to plainly sit tight and wait for probably more than an hour’s time.
