I found what I was looking for: a Crystal hair claw for $ 19.00, and a mini clip for only $ 3.95. The prices are cheap compared to other hair accessory establishments.

Wow, this store is absolutely beautiful inside. Many artifacts imported from China on display. It was like walking into a museum. The sales ladies are all very friendly but beware they are pushy. They try everything on you and say you must buy it. LOL The jewelry was very pretty and they had so much to choose from. The strands of pearls in so many different colors were stunning! From rings, to bracelets, necklaces, pendants, gold and silver they had so much. I had been looking for purple jade. I found a pretty purple jade pendant with three symbols on it, and the sales lady handed me a small card to let me know what the symbols stood for. «Good Luck, Long Life and Good Fortune». I just had to have it. Then I found a matching bracelet that looked good with the pendant. I really wanted some earrings but just could not find what I had in mind. She gave me a good price but still insisted I purchase some earrings that I did not like. Holding ground, I bought the chain, pendant and bracelet and was happy. The next day I did wear the set and two ladies complimented on how pretty the set was. That made my purchase that much nicer, knowing how much I loved it that other people liked it as well. Stop in but be prepared to will and deal and stand tough on what you are looking for. They are good sale people.

As a jewelry designer, this store is my HEAVEN. My first experience with LTC was when I was looking to make pearl necklaces for my bridesmaids. The staff was energetic though not pushy in their assistance and glad to help me customize my order. I explained to the kind lady who is always there what I wanted(in Mandarin Chinese) and she cut me a deal since I presented my order in Chinese and was buying in bulk. She had my 6 pearl 17″ necklaces done in just a few days and gave me a great discount(buy one get one free!). I went back this weekend and had a great conversation with the same, very kind woman. When I used to live in SF I didn’t make jewelry and thus at the time didn’t know the AMAZINGNESS that was Chinatown’s wholesale jewelry distributors. This store was such a breath of fresh air and a mad house for deals. Though there are several other wholesale jewelry stores of it’s kind surrounding LTC, this one is tops because a.) they offer buy one-get one free on all strands of pearls and stones and b.) they will make mentioned materials into a necklace for you a little to no additional charge. And unlike other stores, they also sell findings and string. They also sell tons of pre-made jewelry that’s beautiful and worth the look just for inspiration if nothing more. I could go on and on about this store — but it’s really summed up in the fact went out of my way while in SF to find this store and left with hundreds of dollars of pearls and gemstones and paid less than $ 100. They are also willing to negotiate on prices, unlike some of their neighbors. This is the #1 gem and pearl retailer in Chinatown as far as I am concerned.
