I really like this spot, and I second that it is different from other SF favorites. But that’s what I love about it! It’s so high end, reminds me of shopping in LA or NYC. Definitely worth peeking in.

If you love good style and crave better shopping options in San Francisco, I definitely recommend stopping by this store. Refreshing collection! Great jewelry + shoes!

I can understand Amy L’s critique, but it seems odd to me to criticize a store just because it’s not your taste. And though I don’t live in the Mission or near Valencia, I applaud when an entrepreneur avoids repeating what other existing stores already do and tries to find a new niche and new market. For all I know there are folks with the means and taste for Le Point in the area that just didn’t have a place to shop before this opened. Also, Amy didn’t mention anything about service, which was excellent when I visited. I wasn’t really shopping myself, but my friend was and found some comfortable Opening Ceremony shoes that were perfectly mom-friendly without giving up the ghost on being a modern woman. Minimal merchandising means you aren’t overwhelmed with your options like in other Valencia/Mission retailers where the racks are about to burst and you can take your time to consider the cast metal closure on an Opening Ceremony dress, the bold print on a YMC shirt, and the modern lines of W Britt bracelet. Le Point is not for everyone, but it makes no attempt to be a crowd pleaser. Take your time and maybe you’ll find something to enjoy. Maybe you won’t. But Le Point is the sort of place where you might discover something new about yourself, all from buttoning up a blouse or picking up a pouch.

Unless you are very slender, have a very thick wallet, and enjoy Euro-minimalism, this boutique is probably one you can skip on your shopping trip through the Mission. Expensive, minimalist, and nearly empty, this store doesn’t seem to make much sense here in the Mission: It’s neither funky nor hipster, and the price points all seem to be into the hundreds of dollars per garment, making it breathtakingly expensive for the average 20-something living around here. Perhaps this boutique would make more sense in the Upper Fillmore or even along Union Street in Cow Hollow. The owner is apparently very devoted to her own aesthetic, and apparently«hand picks» the styles featured in her store(according to the employee with whom I spoke). The apparel in Le Point is supposedly all from French lines, and the items I saw were mostly in a light, neutral palette. When I asked about size range, the female employee got flustered and exclaimed, «You know, normal European sizes!» So, in other words, meant for slender women without a lot of curves, one can presume. There are a few accessories here, too, but nothing too exciting, by my standards. These items were a continuation of the minimalism aesthetic, with high prices for what is essentially just costume jewelry. The bottom line is, if contemporary Euro-minimalism is your aesthetic, and your butt is small, but your wallet is thick, perhaps Le Point will be your cup of tea… as for me, it’s the antithesis of what makes me tick!

Really cool new store! Just what San Francisco needed. I love all the European labels like YMA and Bella Freud.

Gorgeous boutique full of beautiful things. I love the all-white interior and minimalist vibe they have going on. It’s exactly what this city needs! I take it as a good sign to see something like this in SF(North Face be gone!).

This is the store I’ve been waiting for! Not only is this store beautiful aesthetically, the merchandising is delightful and the garments perfectly curated. Many of the brands carried at Le Point are only available in SF at this store. I am wearing my beautiful 100% cotton YMC sweater today that I purchased at Le Point last weekend. yeah!
