Place has really bad quality. If you want to overpay then that’s fine go ahead. There’s definitely better options. This place is a fine example of how they switch to lower quality stuff in order to keep their profit margins high. Also, how are you not going to have certain deli sandwiches(supposedly best sellers) on the weekend? I dunno, I went there with an open mind but there’s just too many limitations for this so called«deli». You can buy and eat the food, but if you have time just go someplace else. This place has gone downhill.

Lee’s used to make a GREAT turkey sandwich, roasting their own turkey — just like the day after Thanksgiving, but everyday — right here in FIDI. Then in September 2015, they switched to some horrid deli Turkey — kinda like Subway or worse. Never bothered to tell their customers about the change. It is awful stuff. Please bring back the Roast Turkey Mr. Lee!

I am done with Lee’s, at this location. Only reason they stay in business here is because they are on a very busy street. Lee’s made a name for itself not because their food is great or their customer service is good, but because of value. While prices have to go up over time, their quality has done down. Final straw was this mornning when I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and the lady put about 1 teaspoon of cream cheese on the bagel. Are you kidding me? In NYC they’d throw that back in your face. Went to Café Venue instead and got a real bagel with cream cheese, and gave my Lee’s bagel to a homeless guy.

At noon — all the food was cold. The beef was all extremely chewy, the noodles had been sitting there for a long time — possibly from the night before and after selecting 5 different items for lunch which were all cold, I decided to stop eating. The terrible service is somewhat comical especially at check out. For $ 10, there are plenty of better choices in the financial district. Won’t be going back there — I don’t think cold chicken, beef, noodles, shrimp and bok choy is acceptable. I now have this half eaten box of garbage — and will either be giving it to a homeless person or I will throwing it in the garbage which is probably where it was before being put on display today.

I came in a couple of times, in the morning for a breakfast sandwich. The first time it was very dry and bland, so the 2nd time I asked for some extra things(tomato and onion and a spread), and one of the women started huffing and sighing and slamming things around, while she begrudgingly prepared the sandwich. I’m not going to support entitled, rude business owners that serve bland, dry breakfast sandwiches.

I didn’t have the sandwiches. This review is strictly for their breakfast line. I stumbled into this place accidentally on my search for breakfast at 8AM. I was looking for a place that had some sort of vegetable offering for breakfast other than egg and cheese sandwiches. Lo and behold, there’s a full salad and breakfast bar available and open for breakfast in the back of this place. You wouldn’t have seen it just peeking through the door. This place displays sandwiches being sold in the front and I almost walked out until I noticed a customer walking out with a salad container. The options are pretty standard from what you would expect from a fresh salad bar selection. You can’t really review build-your-own salads. That’s to each their own. Good variety of dressings though. Additional salad options included tabouleh, hummus and pita, macaroni salad, and tuna salad. While I only made myself a salad and grabbed some bacon and eggs, their breakfast buffet offerings included fried rice, chow mein, scrambled eggs with ham and cheese, a vegetable scramble, sausages, bacon, oatmeal, and hard boiled eggs. Variety of condiments available. Breakfast/salad bar is sold by weight. The price was decent for the amount of stuff I got. Everything tastes as I would expect a simple breakfast to taste. So the place gets 4 stars simply because of the variety and it met my basic expectations for simple breakfast.

I am a regular at Lee’s and was really turned off when I saw that they don’t change their gloves when touching the meat/bacon and then other foods right after. I don’t eat bacon and won’t be going back. It should just be a standard to change gloves or use tongs when dealing with meat.

I absolutely love Lee’s. I’m a regular at the one on 75 Battery street so i guess my standards were pretty high before entering here. Its understandably smaller than the one on Battery street, but when I arrived for breakfast at 7:45 am, the pickings were slim and the food actually there looked inedible. If you can help it take a slightly longer walk to go to the Lee’s on Battery or one of the two closer to the Embarcadero Center. They are always stocked with edible looking food. The only con within the company as a whole is the fact its so expensive. I once got a plastic tray with 3 pieces of each; strawberries, cantaloupe, honeydew melon and 6 grapes = $ 9

7.95 for a tiny plastic container(size of a bowl of rice) of mediocre fried rice. Very bland… Had to eat with Sriracha sauce!!!

A nice selection of Chinese food, with a bit of simple sushi and dim sum thrown in for good measure. Not as tasty as all the amazing options nearby, but I like that I can control my portions very precisely and there are some healthy options that are reasonably tasty. Since they charge by the pound, it’s a nice way to eat exactly how much I want and only pay for that. Service is pretty fast, overall. It’s a self-serve buffet, but arranged in such a way that everyone is not going down the same line, so you don’t get slowed down waiting for 30 people in front of you. I’ve never tried the bathrooms here. I wonder if they even exist.

This place wiil cause an identity crisis in you. There are sandwiches and burgers — but also dimsum, sushi, and noodles. Salad bar and cold pasta salads. Unfortunately, the buffet isn’t very good — OK salad bar though.

The salad bar is good it has everything you would want but it’s so pricey! I think if u got spinach and dressing it would still be like $ 5! When I’ve gotten a salad with avo and tomatoes and a side of fruit it’s been like $ 13! Also I want to know how they keep their chunks of avo green and not oxidized and brown from sitting out, they don’t taste like citrus has been squirted on them at all… curious…

I don’t like microwaved eggs in a breakfast sandwich so I skip it here. Just sausage & cheese for me, on a bagel or croissant. It’s nothing special but just enough for breakfast if I don’t get my act together to eat before I leave home.

I went in for the buffet, and while it is pretty cool that it’s priced by pound and pretty affordable, the quality of the food was not that great. The rice was very dry, and the chicken is covered in a very thick sauce, way too much for my taste. I would only recommend if you need a quite bite, but there are better places for Americanized Asian fast-food.

I’ve been to many a Lee’s Deli in the city as they have several locations, but I have to say this has been my least favorite location. The salad/hot food bar is really quite small. They only ever have iceberg lettuce to put on the sandwiches(as opposed to leaf lettuce which other Lee’s have) and at the time of day I go I usually only get the white/yellow lettuce. And I regularly have to wait to even have my sandwich made or to be rung up for my purchase because the workers are«busy» doing other things. Luckily there are many other Lee’s in the downtown area so I know what the place could offer, but ultimately I’ve just gotten into the habit of going to the Market street or New Montgomery locations, even though this one is only a block away from my office, because the other two are just better options.

I was looking for a cheap fast bite in downtown. I was on my way to Boudins craving their sourdough bread, I ended up next door at Lees. I got a BLT on sourdough roll and it hot the spot for $ 5.15 total

This is a good option for a fast Asian in and out in the FiDi. They have a buffet but also have other options. Food was pretty good. They also breakfast in case you don’t want to the usual bagels.

I stopped in at this Lee’s Deli location one Friday morning on my search for«cronots» which is like a cronut but without all of the legal issues. I was surprised to see about a dozen of them individually packaged by the cashier. The plain glazed one was the best way to enjoy a cronut in its purest form. The glaze was not too sweet or overwhelming. The layers were light and flaky but there were many of them so this is not a small pastry! It went great with the regular dark french roast coffee that I had. All in all, the service was no fuss and I love that they have cronuts!

Okay maybe this is a tad early to write this review… as I have just finished Lee’s mahvelous turkey and bacon sandwhich on roll wit da works… but…It was pretty good not really cheap anymore at $ 6.75…but they do roast their own turkey and it is pretty darn fresh. Heaven help you if you eat from the Salad Bar… that thing screams porcelain god moments. Their salad bar inludes(and I kid you not) many dim sum items, bbq pork, chow fun, chow mein, low mein, many types of rice, many chinsese dishses, fried shrimp(uuggghhh) chicken wings… That salad bar is like the swiss knifes of salad bars… bit o everything. Stick with the sammies and yall be all right.
