Overpriced for Chinatown. Very unfriendly personal. Would recommend to go dipper in Chinatown for better groceries, prices and service!

Lee’s just concontrates on veggies/fruits and fresh meats. didn’t see much canned goods, cookies, candies. frozen goods may be in their somewheres, just not in a mood for frozen. buys: brocculii(.49cents/lb) –got used to these, can’t eat beans for gout reasons notes: –produce is stacked in front of the store and the insides as well.

Cheap fruits and groceries. Not a huge selection though. It’s crowded and the inside is really small, so be sure to be persistent when choosing. Also, they heavily discount selected items right before they close, so if you can go then, you might get something for a good deal.

The store located on the edge of Chinatown on North Beach is not that great. Came here the other day to get some Lee chee. They guy was yelling at us for the way were were picking our food. After paying for the stuff, right next store was a better shop. Their prices and quality was fresher and cheaper than Lee’s.

Wow finally ther are people that writes about this place, in the past i wanted to but held off. this place is cheap alright but, its full of carnuba wax and pesticides. I get better produce at places here in chinatown and they look like it was bought from rainbow grocery or whole foods. If people would look up when they head to this place and see the clothing hanging out the fire staircase to dry. Ewww disgusting dripping on to the awning then down to my durian and taros. Oh by the way people sometimes I would see undies hanging too. I guess the saying goes«you get for what you pay for».

Like the coin-phrase say: «An(Fuji) apple a day, help keeps the doctor away!» This is scary. Instead of eating 10,000 calories-sweets after my unhealthy meal, I’ve been eating fresh fruits to satisfy my hunger. And with many local produce markets along Chinatown, it is not a bad trade-off for a prolong and healthy life. «Hey, I might live long enough to see my next birthday. I certainly cant’ wait!» This busy cornered produce market sell the freshest and most affordable produce that anybody can afford. Like I said, Fuji Apples has been one of my current treats after my meal. And this produce market has them at $.79 per pound. I managed to buy 3 of them at a tad over $ 1.00 and hopefully eat them all after each meal. Eating a fruit is cheap and healthy. Hopefully I’ll continue to eat more fruits on a ongoing daily basis. «Now, let’s get a fat-tub of Tiramisu from Victoria Pastries!»

At the corner of Vallejo and Stockton, this place has some of the best veggies in town at very reasonable price. Trust me, I have shopped around Chinatown and end up buying some here anyway — closer to home and less crowded. If you can’t find some of the Chinese veggie you are looking for elsewhere, try here. They always have the cream of the crops separately bagged — I’m talking the most tender parts of any greens like bok choi, yai choi, tender greens, broccoli… for just a litte bit more. Their oyster mushroom and watercress are always fresh and good too. Can’t say the same on some standard produce like napa cabbage, onion, green pepper and such. There’s also a small meat department that has really fresh pork. They are one of the only place that carries the shank pieces with bones, the most tender part — great for making soup. Fruits — it’s hit and miss. I’ve gotten some really good cherries here and sometimes oranges and apples. Like all other stores, they will start to slash their price in the afternoon. If you have the time and the will, you can save yourself some $.
