Dr. Collin Leong is a great doctor, and he helped me to the fullest extent for the past 13 years. Now I had to go many other different routes to get the Rx I really need for my condition. He is very courteous and never lose his temper. Unfortunately Dr. Leong had to retire. I hope everything will work out for him. Miss you much. All the best, Dr. Leong.

He has always been extremely helpful and kind to his patients for decades. At times he offered his services free of charge to patients who had difficulities paying. He doesn’t deserve the bust. Hope things clear out for him soon.

My grandmother and mom have been seeing Dr. Leong for years and he has been great but he «retired» all of a sudden without any notice at all! My mom gets a call that her appointment is cancelled after booking it for a month! Who in their right mind retires without notifying people ahead of time? You call that a doctor? Really? Thank God I found a new doctor for my mom and grandma. Great integrity! NOT! All my positive opinions for Dr. Leong went out the window! After performing some research, I find out that Dr. Leong was arrested for writing fake pain killer prescriptions who was busted by the DEA. There goes his career.

I have been a patient of Dr. Leong for many years. In the time since the last review, I know that his staff is now bi-lingual, and this helps a great deal for patients who are english speaking only. This said, I can trust that if I need to reach him that I can, but it is important for all patients to understand that he had 2 offices, and that it takes him tine to drive through the city to get back and forth. Once you can see him, he is willing to share a wealth of information for those patients who wish to speak about chronic conditions, prescriptions, and how to find the right treatment plan. He has been a trusted and valued part of my treatment, and I want people to know that he is a very good doctor, worth waiting for.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see Dr. Leong. It took me multiple tries to get an appointment with him because when you call the office, the call gets forwarded to answering service where the person answering the phone can’t even take nor confirm an appointment. After numerous try, I finally got through to Dr. Leong’s office where an appointment was made for me. When I got to my appointment, Dr. Leong was not there and apparently none of his staff were there. I don’t mean the office was closed… there were bunch of people working(clerks, RNs, etc), but apparently none of them worked for Dr.Leong. Even though they shared the same office as Dr. Leong, they didn’t know Dr. Leong’s contact info or how to get hold of him. So I just waited few minutes past my appointment time and left. Dr. Leong may be a great doctor, but I don’t know how great a doctor he can be if he can’t even make it patient’s appointment.

The 4 stars apply to the actual doctor — not his staff(I will get to that later). Dr. Leong is a great doctor. He sees primarly older patients and speaks fluent Cantonese and Mandarin(and English of course). He is extremely patient and will explain things to you until everything is crystal clear. He is extremely dedicated to his job, although he does get a little distratcted at times as everyone wants his attention. During my visit, he had a call from another doctor asking him for advice, a pharmaceutical sales rep, and a request from the pharmacy for permission to refill one of his patient’s prescriptions. So, I guess it’s understandable if he’s a little distracted. His office staff, however, is something that is not to be desired. I recently tried to call in to schedule an appointment(at 10AM) and my call was continually being forwarded to his office’s «answering service» where some guy picked up and told me that he couldn’t take down appointments. He could only take messages. He explained that the calls that aren’t answered at the office are forwarded to them as the«answering service.» He told me to call again in 10 minutes. I did just that and a woman from the answering service picked up and told me to call in 40 minutes. Again, I waited and called and I got the same woman who told me to call back in no less than one hour. I explained that by that time, the Noriega office would be closed, so she told me to call the Chinatown office. I called the Chinatown branch a few times — same answering service, rinse, repeat… I finally broke through and the lady receptionist proceeded to tell me that she does not take appointments for the Noriega office and to call them during that office’s business hours. I told her my story and she basically said, «well, their office does not have the staff that we do, so try again later.» Fed up and disgusted, I simply called my mom and told her to physically go down to the Noriega office and make my appointment in person. In a nutshell, he’s a great doctor if you can manage to get through his staff and into one of his exam rooms.
