Man, that was good — ate here the last two nights while in town for business. Sat at the raw bar. Oysters were top notch and clean. Henry the GM, and the staff were really pleasant and knew the details about the dishes which was nice. I’d have to say my fav dish was the ahi tuna carpaccio with tea leaf salad on top. Superb!

This place is so good! Went for our anniversary and it was great for a special occasion. We tried a bunch of different things on the menu and loved it all. Our personal favorites were the tater tots, short rib, and the oysters. Great cocktails. We sampled a few, great presentation. Check out the hideaway if you can. It’s a lounge in the back with a small bar, great tropical vibes.

So I am middling one his place. A snazzy completely overpriced bar that charged twice the price for a Jameson should not strictly measure their drinks. We paid almost three times for smaller drinks. Didn’t bother ordering.

It’s always a good sign when you can’t decide what to order because you want to eat literally everything on the menu. After much deliberation(and agreeing that we’d have to come back to try everything else), my friend and I settled on the following dishes: — Kusshi, Peter’s Point, and Fancy Oysters — Sea Urchin Toast with Ginger, Soy and Scallion — Salmon Tartare with Marrow, Capers and Dill — King Crab Leo’s Louie with Gem Lettuce, Mache, Radish, Fennel, Tobiko, and Sieved Egg — Japanese Hamachi Crudo with Charred Avocado, Sea Salt and Scallions — New England Lobster Roll — Braised Short Rib — Blood Orange Creamsicle Float The oysters were super fresh. The Fancy Oysters are served with pickled tomato and horseradish, so be prepared for a little kick! The Hamachi was cut surprisingly thick and paired very well with the charred avocado. Sea urchin is a huge weakness of mine. You could throw sea urchin on almost anything and I would love it. The sea urchin toast, while small, was very flavorful and light. If you’re an uni fiend like me, the Lobster Roll and Braised Short Rib are also served with clarified uni butter. Our entrees were excellent. I think Leo’s Lobster Roll was the best lobster roll I’ve had in SF. I ordered the Braised Short Rib which was so tender it practically fell off the bone. The pureed potatoes were thick and creamy — such perfect texture! The dollop of uni butter was just the icing on the cake. ;) If you have room for dessert, I highly recommend the Blood Orange Creamsicle Float. I’d love to try the Pineapple Sundae next time!
