Linda Hee, PhD

Linda has helped me work through relationship and career situations with so much grace and confidence. She’s especially knowledgeable and I feel like I’m in my own living room when I meet with her. I know finding a therapist is a really personal experience. She’s a great fit for me (mid thirty professional woman).

I saw her for one session, but that was more than enough.
First of all, I am hard of hearing and I told her that. I told her I normally wear hearing aids but I have lost them, so I asked her to speak up. She did speak up, for about 2 minutes, and then went back to what I perceived as whispering. It was very frustrating.
She tried to uproot things in my past that I did not want to talk about. Stuff that happened years and years ago. I have no idea why she kept doing that and I had to straight up tell her to stop.
I didn’t make a follow up appointment. Her amount of paperwork is laughable. It’s like she wants your entire life story on paper before she even considers seeing you. No therapist makes you do THAT much paperwork. I can’t believe I wasted an hour of my life filling it out.
I have a lot of experience in these things, but she was by far the worst I’ve ever had.
In summation, maybe she works really well for some. But not all. Some people here have clearly enjoyed her and found her helpful, while some of us have not.
Go and see for yourself. But I warn you about the paperwork. Seriously. It’s ridiculous.
She also makes you make the phone call to your insurance company to figure out all of the information that HER office should be figuring out. I’ve never had a therapist ask me to do that for her. It was very strange.

I don’t know why all of the bad reviews are filtered and/​or removed. No idea why mine was removed, I don’t know what kind of guidelines or terms of condition I broke, so I’ll try again and just say that she’s awful. Everything that Sandy’s filtered comment says is right on target!

I spent a year with Dr. Hee over 13 years ago after a breakup from a long term relationship. In reading the reviews, I cannot believe that we’re talking about the same person. She is thoughtful and helpful. She basically listened for a whole year without being judgmental and when needed, stepped in and gave ideas or information relevant to my situation. She was so instrumental in healing my broken heart that I had to recently seek her out to help me deal with issues stemming from my teenage daughter.
She is very knowledgeable and experienced. It is true that she can seem a little disorganized at times and she does have her quirks as we all do. She is definitely old school. Yes, she sometimes makes you wait because she feels that the client she has with her needs a little more time. I’ve been on both ends of that stick. I’ve had over two hour sessions with her on a bad week and she is right there for me without even asking for more $$$. She bills the same one hour to my insurance. I have never had any problems with billing. So if I have to wait awhile because someone else is in worst shape than me, I am happy to wait it out. If you are truly in need for someone to talk to, she’s your gal.
