Our way too young golden retriever was diagnosed with lymphoma so we decided we’d get a portrait done of him to memorialize him. I contacted a few artists in the area and told them that I wanted them to meet our dog to really get a sense of his personality and what he looked like. Some of the artists wanted to do the paintings based solely on photos but Laura was happy to meet him. She clearly loves animals and it really shows.
Laura was very responsive and receptive to suggestions throughout the whole process and the painting turned out great. We love it and will always think of him when we see it, long after he’s gone.

Laura’s painting of my beloved collie is a wonderful remembrance of such an important, sadly missed member of the family. Laura captured her spirit as the beautiful dog sat so proudly with her head tilted, listening so inquisitively. It truly is an incredible piece of art work that any animal lover would cherish.

and is admired by everyone who sees it. I liked the painting
so much I asked Laura to make notecards of it.
I recently adopted another mutt, Lucy, and I very much look
