Unilocal removed my previous review… which seems a little big-brotherish and counterintuitive for an online forum based entirely on subjective opinions and reviews. So… this is my last attempt to get my review put back on the website. I know, I’ve used Unilocal to look for a colorist. It would suck not to give someone a heads up about such a great place. jessy PS — He has a new salon. It’s amazing!!!

Prior to finding Michael at M2 I had literally given up on finding someone who could cut my hair to my satisfaction, let alone blow me away with their skill with hair. From the first cut in 2000 to the present, I have not had one bad haircut from Michael. He cuts phenomenal sexy fabulous hair. Ever since Michael has started to cut my hair, I hear compliment after compliment on my hair, each and every time. He cuts damn good hair. It looks great from day one to the day before I get another haircut. That, my friends, is a sign of a GREAT haircut, it grows out beautifully. He guarantees his work and he takes pride in what he does and it shows. I recommend him to many because many do ask who does my hair. Friends to strangers to coworkers ask and I let them know, Michael Page cuts FABULOUS hair.

I met my now wife in 2003, and her hair looked great at that lunch date. In fact, it made her look stunning. We dated, we married, and she still has great hair, because… of Michael. We live 45 minutes from SF, and Michael is one of the reasons why we trek in town. He does a spectacular job. He hasn’t given Ann a poor hair cut once… since Ann’s been in my life. Now that we have a 1 year old, Ann doesn’t get to M2 as often as she’d like, but Michael’s skills as a stylist speaks for itself, because Ann’s hair grows out nicely… 4 months nicely. Not all stylists can do that. I owe Micheal some kudos for making my hottie wife look even better! For you single folks, that should be enough reason to go M2 and Michael.

I’ve been going to MIchael for several years, after a friend who’s been seeing him for 10+ years referred me. I have incredibly thick hair(yeah, sorry about that!) which Michael tames to perfection. He colors my hair every 4 weeks and cuts it every 8 weeks. He knows that I don’t like to fuss and cuts accordingly. I let him do whatever he wants and trust his judgment. I feel very comfortable in going back to him if I ever didn’t like something. My sister and daughter have also been to him and they love him! Yes, I wish his prices were lower, but a boy’s got to eat! Michael is worth it… plus, you’ll be laughing the whole time. The thing that I really like about going to Michael is his keen professionalism– he really wants to make his clients happy, yet is not afraid to speak up and tell you what will and will not work for you– I really like that!

I have been seeing Michael for several years now, after bouncing around some of the«best» salons in the City in search of the perfect innovative and knowledgeable stylist. Michael is just what I was looking for; in our first consultation I came to him without an idea of what I wanted, but more an idea of exactly what I didn’t want and what I hated about my hair. The day we did our first cut and color I left being the happiest I had ever been with my new ‘do. The rest is history. Michael is great at knowing what style will look good with you — he makes hair work for the person, not the person work for the hair. I am confident when I give out his referral to friends. I always recommend sitting down for a consultation with a new stylist before scheduling your first appointment, just to brainstorm ideas and make sure you are comfortable with the stylist. Give Michael a call and he will be more than happy to sit down with you. PS: The picture I have posted on my profile shows my more recent hair-do by Michael.

Michael treats my curly locks perfectly. I’ve been seeing him for at least six years and have been very happy with most of my hair cuts.(those of you with curls know what kind of accomplishment that is.) I only had one cut that I wasn’t crazy about, but he quickly fixed it free of charge when I called to say that I didn’t love the cut. My SO also claims that Michael has given him the best haircuts he has ever received. My only complaint is the price($ 85.00) for a cut, but I’ll gladly pay in exchange for happy hair.

I started going to Michael when my regular hair guy went MIA. He came highly recommended. He does great color and knows how to cut my curly hair into a managable and stylish cut. Stacy is also talented and creative. The Salon mascot is a wonderful friendly Great Dane who thinks he is a lap dog. The salon décor is appealing and has a very cool and hip vibe. The experience is always fun and entertaining. Salon understands if a customer is uncomfortable with dogs and will make arrangements to accomodate you if request. They get 5 stars !!!

Stacey and Michael are talented and entertaining as all get out. Stacy has been doing my color and cuts for a few years and she is the best colorist I have experienced. Michael has two stunning friendly Great Danes one that he brings into the salon.(Which I love) If you are not comfortable with the dog, he will put him in another room. I recommend both Stacey and Michael for cuts and color.(and laughs) Update*********************** Stacy has moved back to England(we are so sad) Michael has been doing my hair. He is very good. Mind you he is different and does not approach color and cutting the same as Stacy. But he is quite good and my hair is healthier due to his recommendations.

*******UPDATE***** I will never go to another salon after Stacy ditched me to move home to London and I started going to Michael. He is quite talented with my crazy curly hair and dealing with my inability to make decisions when it comes to my hair(long or short? less blond or more blond?) and it always turns out looking great. Love him. Love his work. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — - I will never go to another salon again after finding Stacey at M Squared. She can do anything with some color and a pair of scissors. The prices are more than competitive and the cool décor, stacks of trashy magazines and entertaining conversation from Stacey, Michael and the other clients make it a fun place to spend some time.

Michael does a great job(I’ve been using him for cut and highlights for eight years). My former neighbor Ben also has gone for just as long, and I’d say it’s pretty close to an even split on men and women in the salon. It’s great to have a hairdresser as a constant in your life. Especially one who puts up with me chanting«subtle, subtle» the whole time he does my highlights. And obeys.
