Ata, was on time, friendly, charged a reasonable rate and was extremely knowledgable about our gas line problem. I will certainly be using him again.

Ata did a great job for us improving our shower flow and slow-​draining sinks, and then went on to another nagging problem we’d had (loose plumbing connection), and fixed that as well. He’s very skilled, conscientious, and insanely helpful.
My only complaint is that he charged us too little! Seriously. He worked hard, spent all the time it took to get the job done, and had to return with parts… and when I tried to pay more than the low amount he asked for, he refused. He’s a rare gem.

Reading all the reviews, he is apparently much better for specific plumbing needs and not the best choice for a remodel. We did a to-​the-​studs bathroom remodel which was fraught with issues from a plumbing perspective. Here’s what happened…
— Water lines were moved. Immediately prior to putting the wall back up, the contractor found that one of the pipes was leaking.
— Installed 2 sinks after which I found that both were leaking from the pipes underneath.
— After changing the shower drain pipe, we found it wasn’t centered. The contractor had to rent a jackhammer and redo it all.
— Installed a flow control valve in the shower along with the other controls, but did it without understanding how it was supposed to be installed — it was a newer model he was not familiar with. I now have a shower control that does nothing when you turn it.
— I asked if he needed help lifting and moving the toilet into the toilet room. He’s obstinate and said he didn’t want any help then proceeded to drag it across the newly laid tile, scratching it all up. I had to have the tiler come back to replace tiles. To his credit, he did pay for the repair, but the repair wasn’t as good as the original.
— Wiped the new plastic toilet seat with some type of rag that scratched it all up. Not a big deal, but on top of everything else…
He’s a nice, honest guy and I wish I could leave a better review, but this was the most frustrating experience in the whole remodel. To my first point, he did a few other fixes for me while on site and they went fine.

Fast and GREAT service! Our plumber arrived fast and fixed the problem quickly and efficiently and for a very reasonable price. Not only was he willing to come same day, but he came later in the evening when my fiancé was able to meet him after work. I greatly recommend his work!

Manneh Plumbing is the sort of service I hope never disappears. I’ve met so many brilliant immigrant cum citizens from all over the world (Ata from Manneh Plumbing included!!) that perform top-​notch work for a fair price. I checked Unilocal (based on «Castro» location), read some reviews praising him and his work, yadda yadda, he came over yesterday.
The reason I called Manneh was a tubing issue with my dishwasher. Then I remembered my main sink had some corroded metal that would eventually need replacing. I asked him about it, he said there was time to fix it that day and that I would also save money due to this. I decided to take care of both problems.
I ran the dishwasher yesterday: perfect. Checked the new piping for the sink: perfect. I got top notch + fair price. This combination is a dying «luxury» that anyone who’s not a fool might think of checking out!
I had the pleasure of not *only* getting an anxiety-​producing situation fixed without breaking the bank, Mr. Manneh gave me a chemistry lesson (brass screws don’t get eroded by citric acid so he uses those, not cheaper metal that gets eaten away faster). It’s not often to meet someone who cares about planned obsolescence, especially in their industry.
That’s how you can spot a craftsman from an automaton: Ata actually CARES about doing good work. I’ll never look anywhere else if possible for any plumbing issue (and hopefully I’ll luck out when he’s in the city Mon, Tues, Wed! He’s left SF rat-​race town and spends the rest of his time in Sacramento).

I have used Mr Manneh 3 or 4 times each time better than the previous. I had an issue with my kitchen sink. I called Manneh and he was here in 20 minutes.
A perfect job, a perfect gentleman and a great plumber. Very reasonable as well.
Use him and you will not be disappointed. If there was room for a 6^th star this guy would get it.

He came right away on a tuesday afternoon. Did a great job and took time to give us advice on how best to avoid a clog. He works in SF, only M Tue Wed and then in sacramento the rest of the week. He’s got philosophy and an big heart too!
$ 145 to do a full snake job on short notice is a good price around here.

I called to schedule an appointment/​seek advice on the work, and guy answering the phone said they were too busy schedule an appointment in the future and that they were too busy to talk to me. I think he said to call back in a couple of months. Then, he hung up the phone. Yikes.

I personally have never had the luxury of hiring this guy. Both times I have requested his service he instead walked me through how to fix the issue over the phone for no charge. Very nice guy and will always be the first person I call for all plumbing issues.

I communicated with Mr. Manneh by phone and email about our clogged drain and desire to install a water recirculator. He directed us which piece to buy online and after it arrived in the mail we made a couple of appointments. My partner stayed home all day and heard nothing form Mr. Manneh either day to explain why he no-​showed. My subsequent polite emails were also ignored.

Arrived late, but warned me ahead of time that might happen. He was super friendly during the time he fixed my plumbing problems, did a good job, in a short amount of time, and advised me on how to fix future problems on my own, if I cared to. I’d recommend him to anyone.

This guy is extremely unprofessional! I contacted him to fix my toilet and he told me to contact all my neighbors in my condo building to ask permission to have the water shut off, which I did and then I arranged with him to come by at a particular time, as the water would be off for 30 minutes. He didn’t even bother to show up, and when I tried to contact him, his voicemail was full (on both days I tried to reach him), and he is unresponsive to text messages. All this, and I took off time from work to make sure I was here at the time we both decided he would come. DO NOT BOTHER TO CONTACT THIS GUY! YOU WILL WASTE YOUR TIME!

We have used him 2x — a kitchen disposal and then some other issues.
Very nice, old school responsible, knows what he is doing.

After reading reviews on Unilocal,decided to call Manneh to fix a blocked sink drain. Called mid-​morning, and problem fixed by 2pm! Great, prompt service, and Manneh took the time to explain the options and some risks involved due to possible pipe corrosion. Luckily all went smoothly and Manneh made sure he cleaned up afterwards. I know who to call in future.

Manneh has done a great job fixing my leaky shower drain, and he was very pleasant to deal with. It turned out there were two independent leaks, which didn’t become obvious until after the first leak was fixed. After fixing the first leak, there was still a really slow drip, so Manneh added some silicone and told me to wait a few hours for it to dry before testing it again. When I tested it again later that night, I discovered it was still leaking. I called Manneh and he came over the next morning to fix it. It turned out to be a second independent leak and he had to custom solder a new pipe because the existing one turned out to be a quarter inch too short. He guarantees his work, and he didn’t charge me for his time to fix the second leak. It doesn’t get any better than that!

It’s rare to find people as no-​nonsense as Manneh. I called with what I thought was a serious issue — leaking pipes. He guided me through basic questions on the phone to see if he could get a grasp of the problem, and set up a time to squeeze me in for a same-​day appointment. When he showed up, he went through several diagnostic steps to recognize the problem as a combination of a leaking seal and high pressure caused by cloggage. As a result, while we could do a bunch of invasive and expensive work to fix all the problems, he properly identified that we could quickly and inexpensively ameliorate the problem if he snaked the drain for me and we reinforced the seal (he gave me instructions on how I can do this myself, to save time and money).
Throughout it was clear that he really was looking out for my best interests — trying to get things fixed as quickly as possible and save me money. He’s knowledgeable, really takes pride in his work and makes you feel valued as a customer. Definitely recommended!

Nice, professional, and does his best to stick to his schedule. He couldn’t make it to my apartment at the time he had stated, so he came afterhours. The problem was more complicated than originally thought, so he came back first thing in the morning the following day to take care of it. He did so fast.
He is very very clean. I liked that.

Called him on last week and scheduled an appointment for Tuesday at 6pm. Left work early, sat around, no show, no phone call. Get a call at 8:30 pm saying his phone had issues all day and he was unable to call. Ok, no problem, things happen.
I reschedule and request an appt for Thursday and he said he’s not working that day, so we scheduled it for Friday at 5pm. It’s now Friday at 6pm. No show, no call, so I decided to give him a call to see where he is only to have him say «Oh, sorry, I decided to work on Thursday instead of Friday, I forgot we had an appointment.»
No communication. Unprofessional. Unreliable. I now have an unresolved issue in my home that I could have taken elsewhere 5 days ago.
