I first saw Marconi’s work at an art gallery opening featuring several artists. His talent stood out to me because of the vibrant colors that appear like stained glass upon a normal canvas. Though I really liked his pieces on display, my interest was piqued by the offer to create a custom piece. So I ended up commissioning a painting from Marconi to depict myself, my spouse and our English bulldog. I felt so fancy commissioning art and telling people I was commissioning art… though I left out the fact that it was so reasonably priced. Marconi came over to view all the subjects in real life, interview us about our interests and then asked for a few photos. Later he sent over a preliminary sketch and asked for feedback. Maybe I’m a tad old fashioned, but the initial drawing was too abstract for my tastes with myself and my spouse looking more like wispy spirits than ourselves. Ever so politely suggesting Marconi add a touch more realism, he graciously obliged. Guess that’s the power of being an art patron! The final portrait was more than I could have hoped for. He had the perfect balance of realism and whimsical. In typical Marconi style, there were tons of nuances significant to us hidden within the painting such as mementos from our old life in New York. It is now our prized art piece because it is so personal to us and so brilliantly executed. I highly recommend you try an art commission; you’ll never buy off the rack again!

I bought a painting from this artist titled: Helplessness. Every time I look at it I see/feel something different. Allot of his work deals with Angels. Check out his website!!!
