Marina is sweet and warm. Easy to talk to and that is great because you dont want more interaction anxiety after a long day. Phew! I get my upper lip and eyebrows done by her. If she misses a few hairs I tell her and she rewaxes it. She aims for the best job that can be done :) Really like this corner salon :)

I’m writing this review not based on the haircuts, but based on the behavior of the staff. I live on Richland Ave, across the street from this salon. Yesterday I arrived home and there was an empty street parking space. One of the stylists was standing in it. I told her I wanted to park there. She said she was saving the space for a client and refused to move. I get that finding street parking is a pain. But it pisses me off that the employees of Marina’s think that they can block PUBLIC parking spaces for a PRIVATE business. I don’t know if this place gives good haircuts or not. What I do know is that this business is a bad citizen of the neighborhood.

Third haircut at Marinas. First I thought she cut it a little too short. Nope,. She is so good at understanding hair angle and head shape. Went home, washed and applied a little gel. Wow, every hair fell into place. I think she is a genius when it comes to scissor cutting. Like someone else said, I’ve had my hair cut from so-called high end boutique style; Chains, etc. So far this place is the best! Thanks Marina!

I got my hair cut here today and I love it! She is so sweet and friendly and she did a great job with my very tangled, thick, crazy hair; it looks so great. Definitely one of the best haircuts I’ve ever gotten, and it was only $ 15!

Get a great haircut at a decent price at Marina’s! In my early years in San Francisco, I had been to many places throughout the Bay Area from high-end salons in tony neighborhoods to in-home salons in the SOMA. As someone who has wavy to curly and THICK hair, I have to be careful about who gets their scissors on this head of hair. Marina asks what you want, gives your hair a good look(sort of a diagnosis of the state of your hair), and tells you what is realistic. The added bonus is that she tells you how to take care of your hair as a whole and not just how to manage the style. My entire family, which includes a stylish teenager, has their hair done at Marina’s. We’ve even had her friends come along and get a cut, too!

Stylists — Marina and Natalia, Amazing mother and daughter team! So personable. So knowledgeable– service with a smile. Marina’s Beauty Salon has great customer service, very clean and organized salon. Definitely a hidden gem in a city filled with overpriced hair salons! Both Marina and Natalia took their time and really did me right. I love my haircut, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Plus great conversationalist– super plus, in my book! Essentially, when you go to a hair spot for the first time, you want A. damn good hair B. friendly atmosphere C. reasonable price Marina’s Beauty Salon is definitely«D» — All of the above!
