I highly recommend Michael Korson. I can only speak to his skills as a group therapist, but I’m sure he would be a great therapist 1-on-1 as well, because he has the important elements: he’s respectful, kind, intelligent, and ethical. Most importantly, Michael gives clients the right amount of space to do their therapeutic work, without taking over or telling them what to do(which never works). I’ve found his feedback to be thoughtful and insightful.

I have worked with Michael for over 5 years and have had multiple consultations with him. I have been very impressed with his ability to listen and then offer insightful suggestions for dealing with difficult situations. I recently moved out of the Bay area, but I still talk with Michael by phone and value his recommendations and advice. Thank you Michael.

I would not normally write a review of a therapist — that’s a very personal relationship. However, I can’t believe the negative reviews for Michael Korson. I have worked with Michael for a number of years. He is a warm and kind therapist, as well as a very good one. He has helped me a lot. He not only listens well, but engages me in thoughtful conversation so that we address my issues. I have recommended him to people I’ve known who have been looking for a therapist.

I missed an appt with Michael one day, he called me, very rude saying«Well I’m here, I don’t know where you are?» After that I was finding a new therapist, that’s where I was. Look elsewhere for a therapist, I saw him for over a year and never had any«ah ha!» moments with him.
