Mint Cafe

I hesitate on reviewing this wonderful jewel of an eatery in fear that people will begin to realize what a great place is right under their noses.
I work across the street and go here at least 3 times a week for lunch. They are family owned and so incredibly friendly. Its a small location with no seating inside but there is seating outside for those days when you want to enjoy your food in the beautiful San Fran weather.
Lets get down to the grub. They have salads, sandwiches, burritos, soups, and they have a special of the day. The special of the day can be anything and they swich it up everyday. It’s always really good and worth the buy.
I usually get the turkey sanwich melted with lettuce, sprouts and mustard. I can get a wonderful sandwich for $ 5.00 and its very large as are the burrito’s.
I cant say enough how much I love this place.
You can also create your own salads but its not a salad bar. You pick the lettuce, then five toppings and a dressing. The salads are huge and come with bread. They are amazing and beat out Lee’s Deli any day!
I highly suggest stopping by but try to go early. The rush at noon can get pretty busy.

this a good lunch spot if you work in the SOMA/​South Park area– like me. kinda hard to find– in the bottom of a really bland looking office building on the corner of folsom and hawthorne streets. it is family owned, they also own the Eden Plaza Café nearby on 2^nd street.
I go here for the wraps, they are ENORMOUS, i usually eat half and save the rest for an afternoon snack. great selection of tortillas– spinach, tomato, wheat, etc. also they have lapperts ice cream, which is very good but i prefer mitchells and double rainbow.
the salad bar is nice, you just point out the ingredients you want and they toss it all for you, and they really toss it well– dressing on every little piece of lettuce! the staff are real nice and always remember you. i usually get it to go because the inside is a little gloomy but they do have recycled glass countertops that are beautiful.
