Absolutely destroyed my hat they said they could clean. Then took absolutely no responsibility for the damage.

Brought 6 shirts and 4 pants there for cleaning service. All came back fine except for one shirt which came back with serious, strange, oily discoloration. I showed and explained the issue to the gentleman working there. He was sure it was an issue with fading and discoloration between the different pieces of fabric despite the discoloration being uneven and blotchy on a given piece of fabric.
For me they did about a 90% good job (⁹⁄₁₀ items came back right) unfortunately that missing 10% means I need to replace a work shirt.

I have no complaints about their services. I have been going there for my alterations and wash /​fold since 2007. I am highly please with work results and service manners.

These people are CLUELESS and UNPROFESSIONAL!
I’ve been a customer there for 20 years. She has handled all of my easier alterations, and I have been taking my dry cleaning there. All was fine… until the day the off site dry cleaner lost a $ 75. shirt. Instead of apologizing, and gladly paying for the lost shirt… They gave me the total run around, and blamed the dry cleaning company that they send the clothing out to… and took NO responsibility.
Finally after a month, they payed for ²⁄₃ of the problem. The way they handled it was appalling … and I will NEVER go there again.
Lesson learned: Always know a Dry Cleaners policy for lost clothing before you leave it with them.

I get my wash and fold done there and my dry cleaning as well. I just moved to the neighborhood and started bringing my clothes so they could wash it and they gained my trust. Brought in my Dry Cleaning and also did an amazing job. If you talk to them and need clothes done in a rush they are very accommodating. It is in a sketchy part of the neighborhood but hey you’re not going to hang out with the hoodrats outside or hey it might be fun you never know. The people who run it (im pretty sure are the owners) are extremely nice and friendly. Im actually a little surprised to see the negative review, but hey my experience has been great.

Cheap, clean, easy and quick. In a risky neighbour hood though, wouldn’t dwindle around.

I’ve been going to these peeps for all my alteration and dry cleaning needs ever since I can remember and I’ve had a good experience with them. Minus one star because one of my coats I sent for dry cleaning had a weird smell. I don’t even remember what it was. It just smelled weird. Anyway, just recently I had the lady alter one of my dresses. There was a lot to be done and I needed it in less than a week. She was hoping that I’d need it the next week but I told her I really needed it within 6 days… cuz I mean. I have no other choice! But she was fine with it and got it done the day before needed it.

Ruined clothes. Will never go back and actually considering going to small claims court. Seriously don’t go here if you want any accountability for your items being returned in the same condition.

Addition: I forgot to pick up a gym bag they fixed for me for over nine months. I wrote it off as lost. However, they still had it in the corner in a bin waiting for me when I stopped by to see if they still had it — amazing!

I’ve been getting my laundry done here for about 3 months and I’ve noticed that I’ve been mysteriously losing socks. This last time I had them wash my clothes, my white tank tops had orange stains on them. They also didn’t return a headband I asked them to wash that I use when I clean my face: o/
I had the lady alter my pants and she did a good job. It cost $.89/​lb to get my laundry done, which is cheap. I would go back for alterations, but will be doing my own laundry from now on.
Update: I went back and they found my headband and a sock. I did notice though today that I had a pair of black undies in my drawer that aren’t mine (eww). I will give them back and might still consider having them wash my clothes again since I’m so busy — but this time, I will inventory.

After moving to the neighbor’HOOD a few years back, I’ve been going to Mission Cleaners regularly. While they haven’t gotten out every stain I’ve brought in, I never had any major complaints except that my shirts would always come back with at least one wrinkle starched into them. Which was weird but no biggie. I’ve even had an alteration or two done here which were fine. I recently attended a wedding in which the groomsmen had to wear kilts. Never having worn a kilt previously I needed to get my measurements taken. I was short on time and didn’t want to go all the way to my tailor so I figured I’d have the folks at Mission Cleaners take my measurements while I picked up my dry cleaning. So I asked them nicely if they could take the measurements and she flat out refused. I made sure that there was no error in communication and made clear that all I needed was a couple measurements and would gladly pay her if necessary (altho after being a customer for 3 years I was kinda hoping they do me the favor). She again refused. The alteration lady was sitting right there and everything… all they would say is we only do alterations. It was just plain weird… and it just plain pissed me off.
Overall mediocre cleaning service and just plain terrible customer service.
Now I just go to the cleaners on 7^th st. They are open later anyways.

One jacket, ruined.
I came in with a brand-​new jacket, no stains, just smelled like a bar. I asked them if they’d hand wash it per the label, they said no problem and gave it a special tag. When I came to pick it up the fabric had gone from shiny to grungy-​matt and the shoulder had spots on it that I didn’t put there. It looks years old instead of a month.
They contract with an offsite cleaner and wouldn’t accept responsibility for the damage. They told me to call their cleaner (I looked up the number, it’s for Excellent Cleaner near Civic). I called, but no one spoke enough english to understand what I was trying to say. I realized that no amount of complaining would fix my jacket and gave up.
Cheap? Fast? Sure. Don’t trust them with anything delicate.

They lost my favorite shirt. A very nice dress shirt.
All I needed was one shirt cleaned. I’d never been to this place before but the reviews looked good. When I stopped by to pick it up on the way to a meeting, a week after it was supposed to have been done, it wasn’t there. They didn’t have it, and they offered me someone else’s shirt instead, presumably an unclaimed shirt. It was a dirty looking pink lacoste and I said no thanks.
They attempted to locate the shirt over the following 2 weeks. They said it definitely never came back from the offsite cleaning vendor, so it wasn’t their fault. Eventually I got a call saying to bring a receipt for the shirt and I would be compensated, and so I went to Bloomingdales where I purchased it and got a receipt for a replacement shirt.
This receipt was deemed not acceptable. They insisted it needed to be the original purchase receipt. Who keeps receipts for shirts they buy? I’m not a filing clerk with a living room full of filing cabinets. They also argued that I was only eligible to collect the depreciated value of the shirt because it was used. Oh lord… shoot me. Much discussion of shirt depreciation ensued. I just wanted my favorite shirt back.
In the end, I accepted a check for half the replacement cost. The shirt was in new condition and only a few months old. I had threatened to take him to small claims court, and the proprietor said to go right ahead, pointing to a line on the original receipt saying they are only responsible for paying 5x the original cleaning cost, which would have been like $ 10.
If you go with these folks, beware. When their offsite provider makes a mistake they are not prepared to take accountability for it.

I have been coming here for years, as a particular person with how things fit. The seamstress here does a great job, items always look great and she always remembers my measurements and my ideal cut with fabric and fit with clothes.
There were a few times that I purchased jeans on sale that are a size or two bigger, so I take them to Mission cleaners and I can guarantee that when I pick up my jeans I always know it will fit to my particular liking if not better.
Did I mention that she does better work than other places and charges way less? Oh yes!

Its like taking your car in for work and them telling you «no problem the dents will be gone» then covering it with newspaper hoping you don’t notice the dents.
Not even that cheap either.

I had gotten my wedding dress and evening dress altered here. The lady had done a really great job. My wedding gown had no bustle so she had to make on for me. She was very creative. She had made a french bustle (tucks under) but she made it to where i can have the dress with a full train, mid train and no train. I loved that idea, only thing was it was hard to bustle because you had to get under the dress. for my reception gown all i had done was the top, back and the hem. The dress fit like a glove, couldn’t fit anymore perfect =)
Overall, great job and good price. Small downside, is its in a ghetto part of San Francisco.

Got pants hemmed. Cost $ 9 and took one day. The whole thing was as brief as this review.

Mission Cleaners did a fantastic job tailoring numerous pairs of pants and skirts, pretty much giving me a whole new wardrobe of clothing that actually fits! They also did a great job dry cleaning several items and repairing a torn jacket lining. Their prices are very reasonable, and their work is terrific. Also, it’s pretty easy to park in front of their store.

I saw all the positive reviews on this place, so I walked from where I work in SoMA to their shop. I needed some dress shirts dry cleaned, so I dropped them off. The price was cheaper then the places I usually go in the Oakland where I live, and when I got my shirts back I saw why.
They bring their dry cleaning somewhere else who does it, and I have to say I could have done a better job with a cold iron and a flat rock. Of the 4 shirts I got back, I had one that had a crushed button and on the same one I had the left collar crushed to (that plastic part that keep it’s strait). I was easily able to replace both, but I have to say I won’t be bringing my dry cleaning there again just because the so-​so work of whoever they get to do their dry cleaning.

They’re great, but bear in mind my review is 5 stars because (a) they haven’t screwed anything up and (b) they are less than a block away.
I’ve only used them for wash and fold, and the prices are reasonable (per pound). The few times I’ve used them I ended up dropping off 20 pounds of laundry a few hours before they closed, to be able to get it back the same day.
No, they don’t fold my socks the way I like, and maybe they laugh at my inappropriate underwear, but they don’t screw anything up, it gets done fast, and you get clean, folded clothes back.
Can’t lose.
