Nile Cafe & Hookah Lounge

Mediocre hookah café in the middle of the city. Good place to stop for some hookah if you want to stay close to bars and restaurants nearby. Their Jasmin tea was pretty good. We tried the Nile mix, it wasnt as good as the staff told us it was. The hookah was actually pretty harsh even after they tried to make it better. Dmitri is great and takes good care of his guests. If you sit in their outdoor seating area expect to get approached by bums, prostitutes, and general street hustlers lookin for a come up. The staff does everything they can to make them leave and prevent them from coming back but theres really so much they can do. It is San Francisco so you kind of get that just about evey where you go in the city.

Horrible Friday night
Came in with a group of friends and they say two per hookah. Sure. We have two girls who aren’t smoking so they order tea and sit with us.
The hookah staff give us two hookahs but no tea. Maybe there brewing some special tea. Not really. After an hour of smoking they come back and order us to pay for an extra hookah. We say no and they tell us to leave. Rude!
So we are asking for our bill. Now they bring us our tea. Hustlers. We say no. They say we must take the tea. We say no. Now they tell us we have to take what they give us. Nope.
Anyhow, we have to pay and leave. They gave us horrible service. And they tried to hustle us. Ass monkeys.

Just left this place with a few good friends looking for a good time. We ordered two hookahs to split between four of us and it took them over a half hour to bring them to us on a not so busy night. We also ordered tea. The tea was never brought to us. Because we had two extra people who weren’t smoking they told us that we needed to order an extra hookah because it needed to be two hookahs for every two people… Even though the two extra people weren’t smoking. The bill was brought to us and they charged us for the tea and got mad that we didn’t order an extra hookah. When informed that we never received the tea they told us they couldn’t take it off the bill and proceeded to rush to bring us our tea even though we didn’t want it anymore and wanted to just leave. The servers and manager were absolutely 100% rude and argued with us the whole time even though we were paying customers. Never coming back to this place again. Rude slow service and not worth it at all.

This is actually the worst hookah bar I’ve ever been to.
First of all it’s TINY – we came as a group of about 10 people and the only place for us to sit was at the cramped bench area next to the door (we were on the verge of sitting on top of each others laps lmfao). This place is definitely more for smaller groups of 2 – 4 people and nothing more. Secondly, the service here is TERRIBLE. Apparently there is a rule that one hookah must be shared between two people. But the problem is not everyone in our group wanted to hookah, we just wanted to chill together, but they said we HAD to order a hookah between two people… that’s 5 hookahs (each ~$ 20+) are you kidding me? We tried to kick a deal to order 2 hookahs and some tea for our group but the guy wouldn’t even let us do that. This place is ridiculous and not chill at all. If you’re thinking of coming here with a big group just don’t bother
