I stumbled into this place when I had an hour to kill. I ordered the truffled spicy Mac and it was heaven in a bowl. Huge serving! There’s no way I could eat it all but the leftovers will be devoured tomorrow. I wish I could take a bath and swim in this stuff. The chef, Dom, came out and talked to me and he is so amazing! All of his food is delicious and so different from anything else I’ve ever had in the mission. This is a must try place!

Delicious grub, perfect for when you’re out and HUNGRY. They are right inside Bruno’s, so ladies, if you’re just out for another night, not spending your time starving away for looks’ sake, then step no further! Great music, great vibe, very kind owners: Lauren talked to me for a good while, and I appreciated it. The jam with the sweet potato fries is EXCELLENT! Oh yea, and so are the fries.

Having lived near Bruno’s, I thought this was merely a dance club where bachelorettes lined up on Saturday nights to grind on strange men. Not the case on Thursday nights when Off the Beaten Path is serving grub. Look on the marquee or for the small sign out front of Bruno’s and you’ll know when this pop up is in full force inside the Bruno’s kitchen. Last night was Taco Thursday, with $ 2 tacos and an array of bar bites. $ 5 strong margaritas, too. The most surprising thing? It was relatively empty inside! When’s the last time you’ve been in an affordable bar/restaurant anywhere in SF that wasn’t packed with people? Exactly. It’s so nice to sit leisurely with a drink and not have to worry about getting back in line for 20 minutes to have another. Please everyone don’t come here at once. But do come here, the food is pretty good and drinks nice and stuff. Nice friendly bartenders who are happy to help and would love the business.

Went here last night on a whim after seeing a sign out front. Food: So bomb! We got a caprese salad, fish tacos, and prosciutto Mac n cheese. All were beautiful. Although they went a little too Jackson Pollack on the thick balsamic on the caprese. I don’t know what they did to that balsamic– it was sweet and thick and different– but all I know is I wanted less painted on the plate and more in my mouth. The Mac n cheese was huge and the Parmesan crisp added a really nice crunch. Never seen one of those before and didn’t actually know what is was(see picture). Mac– We got the prosciutto on the side because I don’t eat pork– thank god they could do this cuz it was sooooo yum. Highly recommended. Fish tacos. A+. Growing up in SoCal– it hasn’t been easy to find a proper fish taco in NorCal. This was proper + avocado = yes. And definitely fair prices all around for this kind of artisinal bar food. Place: Never actually have been in Bruno’s(where this pop up restaurant is). I thought it was only a club. But I guess just on the weekends it is. The inside is really cool actually. Never thought I’d see the inside of this place cuz I don’t like clubbing! But with not many people in there, me and my friend nearly had a whole lounge table and disco ball to ourselves. Apparently we just missed a JAZZBAND too!!! I’ve been looking for jazz and food in the city for so long and since club deluxe doesn’t serve pizza anymore– I definitely have to check this place out next Wednesday.

Drove to SF from Concord to check out a couple cars. After leaving both places without a new car my friend and I decided to grab a drink. We came across a bar called Bruno’s, little that we knew this bar served food! Quick look at the menu and it was already decided 2 lamb grinders and a cowboy something(all I saw was bacon and it was already a given). The food came out fresh and the portions were not too small not too big it was perfect. The guys at the bar were pretty cool too overall a great experience! Will definitely come back again! We actually met the owners Lauren and Dominic and they were super friendly(good people with great attitudes). Even tho we left the city without a car we didn’t leave the city empty handed(of course I had to take some of this food back with me to Concord)

The food at this hidden gem, is nothing short of spectacular. Every dish is painstaking made full of love. We arrived on opening night to relaxing lighting, and an excellent choice of music. The seating was cozy, it instantly made us want to stay for a while. We started, with the Garlic Fries, which were out of this world! If given the choice I would bathe, in the tasty sauce, that came, with our delectable morsel. We continued our adventure, with the Fish Tacos. They were perfectly seasoned, and left nothing to be desired, except a second order! Next, the Tres Amigos a perfect partner to a tall frothy beverage. Last but definitely not least, The Burger, was a little piece of heaven, a delicious blend of Wagyu, and Angus beef, that literally melted in my mouth. Off the Beaten Path, is a perfect place for a date, or relaxing, with friends after work. The food is gourmet quality, and we shall return very soon for more excellent food.
