Great bar. Friendly staff and most diverse crowd of any gay bar in the bay area. Everyone is welcome. Really like it here.

Went last night for the first time to undies night, to my surprise there were some very hot guys there and one twink completely naked sporting a semi, very hot. Bartender was a nasty unhappy guy, I wanted o tell him, hey dude if you smile sometimes and act friendly the night will go by much faster, you’ll make more tips, and may even start to enjoy yourself. Also there is a really bitchy c*nt who works the door outside, I went out for a smoke and he yelled at me as he thought I was too close to him. That normally would have been my time to say F U and leave but I wanted o see more hot guys in their undies so I stayed a while.

First time visitor to OMG. OMG is directly on 6th street across from Historic Breakfast Restaurant Dotties. OMG is a small bar /club with a decent bar, little stage that use for showcases and a small DJ booth. Its a decent spot to visit for a happy hour with colleagues and friends. They also host monthly drag shows. Its an okay spot to visit!

So apparently I can’t get inn unless I take my pants off. If you are visiting the city and need a drink well for get it !! Bar wasn’t crowded it maybe 5 guys in underwear. The owner at the door said«you have to take your pants to get in» big turn off for this bar.

Very friendly staff overall and terrific bartenders. The regulars I’ve encountered here on the nights I’ve gone have been terrific. Years ago this was Añu and although it’s been redone with a new interior and different parties, house music lives on during certain nights. This is a well run bar, friendly management and simply put, good vibes. I have absolutely no problem with 6th street like some reviewers. I don’t mind that it’s a rough block, I’ve been coming to this area for years and I’ve never had any issue. I don’t want to go to a club in a mall, 6th street is just fine.

Great bar. Very friendly staff and owner. Great place for a drink after work. Good strong drinks. Very diverse programming — drag queens, hip hop, karaōke, underwear parties. Sexy men. Sexy women. All ages. They got it all.

OMG!!! yes. The name is OMG and it is really OMG… it was the first night club I visited in San Francisco when I moved from Dubai… Rakesh is super friendly, bartenders are really nice and knowledgeable!!! You do not need to repeat your order twice… THEYKNOW! Rakesh doesn’t pick his employees randomly… Starting from the superb friendly cloth check guy ending with the DJ… Everytime I go there I really feel home because Rakesh talks to everyone to make them feel comfortable. Well done OMG!!!

I never thought I’d ever be a regular at a bar on 6th St. between Mission and Market, a block known for being one of the skankiest and scariest in the city… and yet, I LOVEOMG!!! This fabulous little gay dive bar has the coolest bouncer, sweetest bartenders, and a laid-back, comfortable feel that I rarely find at any bar, let alone one located in the heart of SoMa’s worst block! And surprisingly enough, now that I come here often, I realize that I don’t ever really feel unsafe on my way over, because it’s well-lit, there are always tons of people on the street at all hours of day and night, and I know that that awesome bouncer I just mentioned above totally has my back! And inside the bar, amazingly, it feels really clean, with ample comfortable seating on banquettes along the wall, with cocktail tables and chairs, too. My favorite night here? Queeraoke on Thursdays from 8 pm on, with faaaaaabulous KJ Dana Morrigan! She’s super-chill, has a HUGE music collection with tons of songs that would be considered a rarer find at most karaōke nights, and she is really accommodating to everyone who wants to sing! She’s not one of those kj’s who likes to hear themselves speak a lot, and instead focuses on just making sure everyone knows when their songs are coming up! She also doesn’t EVER hassle people for tips… the tip jar just sits there, and you tip her on your own terms(I recommend doing it for every song you sing!). Did I forget to mention that entrance to this bar for karaōke is FREE!!! A better deal you could not find! Also, tip your kj and bartenders heavily, they deserve it :) The sound system at OMG is surprisingly fantastic, with no annoying distortion, and the volume ratio between the background tracks and singers’ vocals is a really good balance… I wish more karaōke places could create this ideal of a balance! I’m happy to say that OMG is 100% WHEELCHAIR-ACCESSIBLE, including the bathrooms!!! There are a lot of regulars who attend religiously every Thursday. They are a lot of fun and very friendly… after a few weeks, they knew my name and were always high-fiving me when I got off stage! There’s an overall feel of everyone wanting to support and empower one another, whether someone is a professional-sounding singer or a severely out-of-tune amateur… it’s like everyone gets that this isn’t a talent show, this is about going out and having fun, about singing because it feels good, because it’s good for the soul! I like the positivity I feel at this place… It’s infectious! The crowd runs the gamut as far as age, with young millennials all the way up to white-haired men in their 70’s, and everything in between. There’s also a pretty even split as far as male/female/genderqueer on Thursdays, and there are gay, bi, and straight alike. It’s a great mix, and I think that’s why this club is so successful: Nobody feels out of place or unwelcome! I obviously cannot recommend OMG highly enough!!! See you next Thursday?!

I enjoy going to OMG. It’s the only gay bar that I go to at the moment. They have happy hour(2 for 1) drinks. ! Great for people who are on a budget. It’s where I meet my friends as well as my first dates. It has an open space with a few tables & booths. Good danceable music depending on the night you go. When you walk in, the atmosphere is low key & quiet at first. After about an hour or two it gets pretty busy. I guess that is because it’s quitting time and the Worker Bees needs their buzz. Paresh the co-owner and the staffs are always smiling & friendly. Each time, I am in there, I always get greeted. Which makes me feel like I am coming home. I highly recommend«OMG» if you are in the neighborhood & if «OMG» is in your hood. Let’s Make it our local hang out!

What you need to know if you go to OMG. –Lyft or Über to and from club. –Go directly into club have lyft waiting before you leave club. THEGOOD***** Strong drinks at low prices, The Bartenders Coat/ClothesCheck Long bar in front Dome dance room in back, and small corner stage Loved IT. Sound System Around corner from ENDUP for pregaming From Studs to twinks and bears OHMY(and creepers but there everywhere) The Bad****** Not a walking neighborhood worth every penny to taxi in and out. The trade off of low cost drinks helps. bathrooms one big room 1 toilet and 2 urinals no dividers and main door does not lock. The Fugly,***** The first words uttered to me on undies night as I walked in and about to pay cover was AREYOUGAY? but in that rude your in the wrong bar probably way, I decided to take it as a compliment and paid the twink and walked away, Not going to let him stop me from enjoying the club. It was undies night and I was freezing cold since I am from SD and well its SF, brrr so I kept my clothes on so I had to pay cover and coat check. To summarize I met new people had a great time and would do it again. I recommend checking it out as a starter bar if hopping. Dive bar feel

I actually really love this place. Too bad it is in such a shi#!y neighborhood and on such a crappy street. This bar is a little oasis. The bar is well stocked. Lots of great signage on drinks and cocktails. I came for the Karaōke and I thought the sound system rocked and was superb. I’ll be back but I hate I have to run the gauntlet of crap to get here.

Plain and simple. OMG! is pretty much my reaction to this place. Typically, it’s a gay bar, but we went on Bollywood night and I guess that nulls the gay bar part. They played Bollywood music almost the whole night with like 3 snippets of top 40s music which was totally random. I’ve never been before and had no idea how to dance though a few people taught me some moves and I ended up having a lot of fun. Overall, if you’re not Indian nor are you normally into Bollywood, but want to try something new, this is a fun place to go to. Everyone is super friendly and they even have a dance-off if you’re brave. The place itself is really small and I would say it’s more of a bar with a dance area than an actual dance club, but it did accommodate all the people that night comfortably. Overall, it was fun for the night, but I don’t think it’s really my scene.

I had a few OMG moments on my walk over to the bar: «OMG I’m going to get knifed.» «OMG I’m going to get run over by a car.» «OMG, where the fuck is this place?» When I got there, a few more: «OMG free chips and salsa!» «OMG it is DARK. Even the bathroom is OMGDARK.» «OMG the bathroom doesn’t lock.» «OMG2-for-1 drinks!» and«OMG these drinks are balls.» The space is cute, and it’s literally one block off the beaten path — walking past Union Square, I thought, oh, this isn’t so bad. And it just got homeless and creepy so fast. The bartender swore to me the neighborhood would turn around in a year. … sure. Crowd was about what you’d expect for Monday happy hour. Lots of old people. Something like four 20-somethings showed up, and they all were signing up for the open-mic comedy hour. No thanks. Overheard the bartender talking about some free drink special on Fridays if you strip to your underwear. «This hot couple stripped down last Friday — it was so awesome!» … so, on any given Friday, you might see two attractive men, but no more. And, they’ll be in a relationship.
