They are always friendly and helpful. I love how fresh the burgers are and the different options on salads. It’s like your average whole in the wall in a industrial area.

Oscar’s deli has the best falafel sandwich in all of San Francisco. They are so huge that they cut them in ½ to make 2 meals or 1 big meal if you are hungry.

So, I recently started working close by and there aren’t many places to eat. I stopped in here to see what I could get for breakfast since I was starving. I got a simple ham and cheese omelet. It tastes pretty good but it’s nothing fancy. My review is the price. I paid $ 9.30 for a small simple omelet and an IZZE drink! Never again

If I had a dollar for every time this place has screwed up our order I’d have enough money to buy this place and burn it to the ground. Our food is either burned, undercooked(chicken), or just missing from the order. The quality of the ingredients is Kirkland/low level food service at best. Today I found a god damned toothpick horizontally placed in the middle of my burger. And then god forbid you try and make sense of the receipt its not itemised and I have no idea what he’s even charging us for. Every time we order its for the whole shop and its +/-$ 100… Been a customer here for way too long, today was the final straw. Looking forward to a 2015 with no Oscars.

— Clean, spacious facility — Friendly staff members — Good food and good service — Menu items were appropriately priced The Grilled Pastrami Sandwich with Provolone Cheese, Onions, Pickles and Tomatoes served on soft roll — simply delicious. Sometimes sandwiches taste even better when eaten warm. I did notice a display case where they feature pastries. Some of the pastries include Pound Cakes, Muffins, Doughnuts, Danish and Croissants. I really like how the pound cakes are individually packaged to retain freshness. One of the best lunch spots in the area. Overall, positive first experience here so I’ll be back.

I feel like I’ve been catfished and this is perhaps the worst I have ever been tricked by good Unilocal reviews. I was in the area and wanted something quick. Unilocal mobile showed Oscar’s Burger Deli with 4 stars. I walked in and nobody was there… first clue… I asked the guy behind the counter for some recommendations and he kind of blew me off and said«I dunno, they are all good». I noticed their«pastry display» behind glass had such delicious pastries such as a package of oreos and store bought cookies, still in the package. No Joke. My «pepper steak» sandwich was not memorable. The fries they were served with were obviously frozen and didn’t have a grain of salt on them. I ordered a side of hummus and that’s what I got, hummus in a bowl, no bread, no paprika sprinkled on top, no nothing. There is no reason to go out of your way to try this place. I won’t be back.

Great service. Halalal! Fresh salads and Mediterranean foods and good prices. A little gem in a warehouse district. Out of the way for me. But will fuel me to succeed today’s meeting.

All I can comment on are the burgers and fries, which are absolutely the best around! Eat there any time I’m in the area.

I just started working at the warehouse adjacent to this restaurant and life is good. Their weekday hours are wonderful because they have coffee, breakfast, and lunch. They have a whole fridge of drink options. I can’t believe this but they have beer. Thy have aa sort if muni mart feel but they also let you sit down to eat. They have a ice cream fridge. Jesus they are great.

I used to satiate my falafel urge by frequenting Oscar’s on a regular basis when it was my only option around. That was until I started noticing that my falafel wrap tasted more like hamburger than falafel. I understand a lot of places cook the veg food on the same surface as the meat. However, most places do a better job of covering it up. I think they toss the wrap on the grill to get that«delicious» grilled flavor. If I wanted a shawarma I would’ve ordered it. I think even if I ate meat I would avoid this falafel wrap. Most places seem to use a small oven. I’m not gonna completely hate on Oscar’s with a one star bashing because he seems like a decent, if impatient, guy. They have huge bags of falafel that they send out so I ASSume that it’s made onsite, which is a plus. My non veg friends think it’s «ok» even if we usually head to Deli Lama instead. Maybe it’s because parking is almost non-existent during lunch unless you wanna illegally park on the sidewalk like I usually do… I won’t be back for a falafel wrap but they do carry the usual deli vices such as chips, soda, & even«fresh» pastries. If that’s your sorta thing.

The guy who works here is very kind. They make a great falafel sandwich. I bought it to save for later(about five hours later) and though a little dry, the falafel itself was delicious. I’m sure it would’ve tasted fantastic fresh. The also sell falafel balls a-la-carte! I also got a tea, which was a little overpriced @ $ 2.00, but they do have an excellent selection to choose from. Now that I work around here, I’m sure to come often to try all their Mediterranean food!

The outside appearance of this place was deceiving. Once inside, I was pleasantly surprised by how bright and spacious it was… plenty of tables(7, in fact), a huge cold drink selection, hot and cold sandwiches(roast beef, pastrami, turkey, etc), burgers, salads(crab salad, chicken salad), pastries. My husband and I ordered cheeseburgers — $ 3.75 for the burger, or $ 5.99 for a combo w/steak cut fries and drink. Other notable observations: — We were greeted with a smile — loved the owner — They have an ATM inside — Free newspapers to read while you eat — An entire wall full of snack selections — Plenty of tea you can brew yourself — Pastries — They sell beer — They have a pay phone inside(I thought that was interesting considering payphones are almost extinct) — LARGE drink selection — all brands of soft drinks, Snapple, Sobe, Odwalla, etc. — Everything is priced from $ 3.50 — $ 6 — cheap!

In retrospect, taking Muni to Oscar’s wasn’t the smartest of ideas. But how was I supposed to know the now defunct 53 Southern Heights was going to drop me off right in the middle of a questionable part of town. Was a bit sketchy. I power walked my way out of there and headed down the hill to Oscar’s. I was rewarded with a a generous sized espresso and hard boiled eggs(a fine alternative to egg whites) for breakfast, and a chicken sandwich with hummus for the road. My mother would give me one star for my decision making. I’d give myself five stars for the adventure, and Oscar’s gets four for the good eats.

I came in here for a quick bite on my way to my regular food bank shift. I used to come in here for doughnuts, bagels, or muffins years ago when I worked in the area. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma and paid and then the guy told me that I had to take it to go. I was planning on eating there but once I looked over at the flies, literally a swarm of them, I was glad that he was so rudely forcing me out. Parking sucks The Shawarma was very mediocre and bland. I won’t be back
