Where to start. I have been to Pa’ina more times that I would care to count. It is always a great time. Going there for a nice dinner, catching the Warriors in the finals, celebrating a friend’s bday, graduation, corporate event, watching a live musician or comic on the stage… I could go on and on. And if it sounds a little too much for your taste they have private rooms as well that give you a more of a private feel with your own private TV, comfortable seating and private dining area. The dining experience is never a disappointment. .25 cent wing Wednesdays, great poke bowls, .25 cent wing Wednesdays, killer nachos, .25 cent wing Wednesdays, some great tasting BAOS and .25 cent wing Wednesdays. Did I mention the BAOS!!! And all the great food can be accompanied by a tropical beverage. For those of you adventurous enough they can serve the drinks in a goblet for you. Lastly the staff. I have gotten to know pretty much everyone. They are all extremely nice and attentive. The bartenders, wait staff, kitchen crew and everyone else that helps make for the perfect experience, my hats off to them all. They are amazing. They work pretty hard and the end result is always me leaving knowing I just had a great experience. Next time you find yourself in San Francisco in Japan Town stop on by and give this place a try. You will not be disappointed. I suggest on a Wednesday. did I mention .25 cent wing Wednesdays?

What goes good with a Warriors win? Why Hawaiian food and lotsa drinking, of course! Met up with 12 pals for a fun time watching the crazy back-n-forth of a playoff game… and this was the perfect sportsbar /restaurant. Plenty of seating for large groups… as well as two intimate VIP rooms and more seating at the two bars. Several tvs placed strategically so all can have a view of the game and a great sound system to hear the play-by-play action. The food was fantastic… we had: — Spammie(Spam Musubi rice ball) — Kim Chee Fried Rice w/Spam and Egg — Kalbi Bites — Fried Wings– — Poke(Island style) — Kobe Beef Sliders …and it was all amazeballs! In fact, it was so good we got more of everything! The drinks were fab… I had a pitcher of beer but some of the people in our group got exotic cocktails and loved them. I would love to come back during a weeknight happy hour… am be for Monday’s game!

If you want to find a place to watch the game and enjoy a nice cold beer with some bites, this is the place to be. The food is also delicious. They have a wide enough variety to choose from to satisfy everybody, even the pickiest of eaters. My personal favorite would probably be their loco moco, kalbi bites, mac and cheese and spammie but I’m sure my favorites will expand when I try more of their other plates. They also have a 25 cent wing night every Wed if you like wings. You should also try their strawberry mojito, it’s pretty damn delicious. This place is also super spacious which allows private events ranging from baby showers to birthday parties, etc. They also have a projector to and TVs on every corner of the restaurant for easy viewing of the game or whatever else is on. They also have events such as paint night and for the play offs, it’ll be smart to reserve a table to guarantee a spot for the game. It’s totally worth it since it’ll be packed. The staff here are also pretty awesome. They’re friendly and quick to assist you when you need help. They’ll listen to your requests and make it happen. They’re also quick to get your food and to make your drinks even during packed hours so +1 to that.

My friends & I decided to come here since we never tried it & we could have some drinks while having dinner! Drinks: the goblets are totally worth it! You can ask them to add more alcohol or less, it’s your preference! WARNING: the drinks come out fast & I made the mistake of drinking too much before our food came out. So I barely touched my food Food: although I did not eat much, my boyfriend ordered a lot and he said it was really good! I think it’s a nice place to check out if you want to have a good time and listen to good music! It does get crowded on Saturday nights so you can make reservations if you want to! Our server(Tracy) was the best too! She is a friend of a friends but she’s seriously the sweetest & most up beat!

The food is okay. Value is good on on wing Wednesdays where wings are 25 cents each with a minimum of two drinks. Wings are pretty decent. Stick to the garlic cilantro, paina, and buffalo. Had the fish tacos as well, but was not impressed. The girlfriend says the drinks are decent as well. Problem is the service is subpar. Not only slow and inattentive, but at times a bit rude. Better service would bring this place up a star or two in my book. Overall, its a decent place to come watch a game as there are lots of tvs, but it wouldn’t be my first choice.

We’ve been back since the last not so great time, and it was a much better experience. Food and service greatly improved. Quick service before seeing a movie next door. Cool.

I’ve been here multiple times, from watch parties for a sports game, birthday parties, first dates, and just to chill and have a drink. A fun place to come with friends! I always love the music they play in the background. Some dishes I’ve tried are: Spammie — Yumm! Why do you have to cut it in half? I want the whole thing! I recommend this one for a quick appetizer. It’s not light but you’ll want more than the 2 that come in the plate. Garlic Fries — Eh. I’m not a fan of fat fries so I’m being biased about this one. Maybe thin fries next time? ;) Soft shell crab tacos — So soft and so chewy and so good! Last time I went they ran out of soft shell crab! Boooo! Kobe beef sliders — Thumbs up! Island Style Poke and Seaweed Poke are good too! Pineapple bread pudding — mmmmm caramel sauce!!! Super delicious and not too sweet! Come for 25cent wing night on Wednesdays! Come early or else. Don’t say I didn’t warn you! My favorite are the Pa’ina and Spicy Mango!

Came at 10:30. Called 4 times no one picking up. When my group of 4 in total came in, informed us about kitchen being close around 10:15. I deliberately called 4 times to make sure this wouldn’t of happened. Didn’t look too busy and a few workers smoking in the front. Yeah and no one picked up the phone.

Paint nite at pa’ina! Pa’ina isn’t decked out in Hawaiian live music as I had imagined, but I would definitely come back. Instead there was Hawaiian tunes played throughout paint nite. The recommended island poke was fresh and decorated with balanced taste, the spam musubi was delicious and not overpowering. The gals said the drinks(specifically the margheritas) were stiff. The waitresses were very patient as they had to serve in a crowded space with moving bodies and process everyone’s bills at the end. The stage is definitely funly lit, and it is just down the block from the shopping center parking lot. I’m excited to come back on a night with live music. I wish the website was updated more frequently to notify me of those nights: D

25 cent Wing Night was pretty good! I suggest the Pa’ina and Sriracha Honey flavors. 2 drink min, 5 pcs min per flavor. We didn’t have reservations and were seated quickly. Service was a bit slow but they got us what we needed. Lots of TVs to keep you entertained. Street parking is pretty easy after 6pm.

Amaziiiing… I went there yesterday with a friend and they have like a 25 cent chicken wings on wednesdays. Here the deal, you order your flavor and you have to order a minimum of 5 wings so $ 1.25 per flavor which is still a really good deal. I took the Buffalo a bit too spicy but I loved it(Cayenne pepper hot sauce, melted butter) and a Spicy Mango, not so bad but with a kind of fish taste(mango, garlic, chili and honey). You have to order at least 2 drinks, since I ordered with my friend it was ok. Finally we had a $ 18 check, which is good and we were full :) The service was pretty good. Although, we had our dishes less than 10 minutes after ordering. Actually that are just chicken wings so pretty fast to prepare. The place is neat, with dim lights, clean restrooms and some TVs, actually that’s a good place if you want to watch a game with your friends while you are eating and drinking. I didn’t even check if there was a WiFi or not. I recommend. +++: tasty food, fast service, nice place, cheap price, good place for a wednesday night —: have to order 2 drinks minimum, drinks are kind of expensive

Really pleasant surprise. Popped in here when we were headed to Sundance Kabuki to grab a movie. It was raining and we wanted a bite but didn’t want to wander too far. Saw this and went inside, and it was better than we expected. Modern décor, hip vibe, somehow contemporary yet«island» at the same time. The cocktails were delicious and reasonably priced($ 7/$ 8), the $ 0.25 wings were delicious… though the garlic cilantro ones were a little too heavily breaded and as such, not quite 110% cooked throughout…(the Pa’ina wings were the way to go). The only downside was service. We really had to work to flag down our server every single time we needed something. Inexpensive, delicious Hawaiian-ish food in an upscale setting in a good location. And while none of the male servers waited on us… damn they were sexy… those arms… next time I’m ordering something REALLY heavy and crossing my fingers…

I came here for drinks after dinner with a few friends. We ordered the: Mai Tai Lychee martini the mai tai was way strong for me(good for those who don’t like the sweets) and the lychee martini was perfectly made! I loved the lychee they put in it. So refreshing and with great texture! We also took great advantage of the Unilocal checkin deal. We got free coconut ice cream and mango ice cream. I’ll come back just for that! Also, I hear that they have great live music. I’ll be back for more!

This place has a modern vibe, kinda sports bar-y, with a live band that plays music you can request! On top of all that fun, the food is delicious, affordable, and the drink menu is extensive. I can’t think of a better place to come on a Friday night to relax, eat, drink, & be merry! We made a reservation for 6 and was seated immediately upon arrival. Our waitress was really helpful and answered all of our questions because we weren’t that familiar with Hawaiian, asian fusion cuisine. She was patient & made a lot of great suggestions! For drinks, I ordered their version of the Moscow Mule. Their ginger beer is on tap and oddly isn’t carbonated, so my drink tasted off. I wouldn’t order it again. My friend had the strawberry mojito which I tried, and I thought it was very tasty! Go with the strawberry mojito instead. For food, I ordered the ahi tuna poke and chicken wings. Note: the poke does NOT come with a side of rice, you have to order it separately. The poke was a generous portion(more than what I expected), the fish was a good color and tasted fresh, but they went a little too heavy on the soy sauce and seasoning :(For the price, I would order again, but next time I’ll tell them to light on the salt. The chicken wings though, DAMN it was good. I guess you can’t really go wrong with fried chicken but I definitely enjoyed it more than the poke. You have to order the chicken if you visit Pa’ina! Overall, a lot of fun was had at Pa’ina over good food. We requested Justin Bieber’s «Sorry», which they kindly performed for us with a ukelele band. It was awesome!

New ownership! Absolutely loved this place! Good food, great drinks, awesome vibes! Service was superb! Tried the beef bowl and loved it! Fried banana ice cream was amazing as well! Everything is made upon your order so it may seem long if you’re there starving, but definitely worth the wait! Can’t wait to try other items on the menu!

Attended a private event here recently. The venue is a nice size. The two large rooms are large enough to give one a breather if need be. Both have their own bartenders. It seems to be clean and professionally run. The area is nice as well. I didn’t try the food, it didn’t look all that good. Drinks were strong.

Get me some Hawaiian flavor in Japantown! This large lounge /sports bar /restaurant serves good Hawaiian-inspired(bar) food for reasonable prices. Highlights were the KOBEBEEFSLIDERS and the FRIEDPANCAKES. Also get the SPAM, it’s well worth it. What this place lacks in atmosphere(crowd can get LOUD, and TV screens are all over), it makes it up in good food and a tempting Happy Hour — $ 5 for nachos, chicken wings, sliders, poke, cocktails… you name it. Speaking of cocktails — this is not their strongest side of the business(a pretty sour Mojito?) but for HH, you probably don’t mind.

Pa’ina recently came under new management and is now suddenly the place to be for games, birthdays, happy hours and other special events. I love the Hawaiian themed interior décor. On top of that, they have 2 bars, so there’s a never a shortage of liquor! My cousin recently had her wedding rehearsal dinner there and everyone in our party had a great time! We enjoyed everything off the menu(especially the kimchee fried rice and chicken wings) and the service was awesome. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Hawaiian fused grub food in a spacious bar vibe! They have a large projector screen in the center, which was convenient for watching the Golden State Warriors win the championships! Plus, there were so many seating and tables available. Food took awhile to come out, but I’m guessing it was because everybody was getting ready to rally up the game and eat! Their nacho pulled pork was good. Spam masubi was of the usual that you would expect from spam. Kimchi fried rice was yum. Tuna poke was of the good norm. Chicken wings were of the standard chicken wings. The bar lounge has spirit, happy hour, birthday specials and theme days. Fun times and vibes shared here!
