Love this place I eat out a lot in SF, Seattle and Portland. The staff here are awesome!!!

One of my favorite brunches in the city. The polenta and poached eggs are to die for. And the deviled eggs are a must.

Amazing deviled eggs, baguette and avocado toast! I tried the burger because of the other Unilocal reviews. But I’ve had way better elsewhere. The truffle fries were good though. Shrimp and grits were way too stay. Bubbly champagne was very light and smooth. have to be careful because it goes down really easily! They gave me coconut cake since I was having brunch for my bachlorette party. And it was soooo delicious! Creamy, thick and the coconut flakes were fluffy! It wasn’t to sweet, just how I like it. Friendly servers as well too! Such a great place for finger foods. I hope to back when I visit again!

Looking for a bougie and pricey brunch spot where you don’t need to wait? This is it! We got to Park Tavern around prime brunch time and the communal table had tons of seats available. We ordered the berries and cream, grapefruit brulee, and avocado toast to share. I got the salmon eggs benedict for my main dish. Usually restaurants give two eggs with two slices of english muffin. But at Park Tavern, it was half the size I expected. None of the dish portions were big and I wasn’t full. Actually I was still hungry. Eek. I should have also gotten the pancakes in that picture. Park Tavern gives off a dinner + drinks vibe instead of the classic early /late morning weekend feeling you get at Kitchen Story or Plow. But we weren’t sitting at the regular tables so it could have felt different sitting somewhere else. Maybe I’ll come by for dinner. It’s undecided.

Food is amazing and incredible! Avocado and shrimp toast, the Marlowe burger and Fois Gras on toast(which is no longer in the menu) and the pork belly cheeks are a must! The bartenders make stiff drinks as well. This place is pricey but you get what you pay for. In addition to the very good food, the ambiance makes this place a great setting for a date on a weekend at night or brunch!

I tried the polenta benedict with mushrooms and truffle sauce, the caramelized grapefruit and one deviled egg. I thought that each of these items left something to be desired. The polenta benedict was pretty plain as were the famed deviled eggs. I might have been appeased if the service was better. Our waitress couldn’t be bothered to give us utensils once our food came out and the customers sitting next to us felt so badly that they gave us their own unused utensils. Also, when my friend asked to substitute cheese for more spinach for her plate, the waitress responded with«I don’t think that would taste good». How about letting the customer decide that. Come on now. I really just don’t think this spot is worth the forty five minute wait or the price tag. There’s also definitely a «scene» here. Filled with 30-something professionals and the occasional family.

Park Tavern is a solid addition to North Beach. I went here for brunch and immediately loved the open yet dark space that leads you to the bar/dining room . Had the Hummingbird cocktail — $ 9(St Germaine, Champagne, Grapefruit), and the«Marlowe» burger/fries($ 16)-was superb. Our friends had the Pan-Fried Corned Beef Hash($ 16) and the Cast Iron Baked Farm Eggs($ 15). We ended up trying everyone’s entrees and I found them all solid. Albeit being busy(we made reservations 2 weeks ahead), our service was still good. Overall, I would come back here again for dinner, as well. Park Tavern seems to be the restaurant for any occasion –a date, a group meal with friends, a work dinner, etc. !

Hands down the best brunch restaurant in San Francisco. Super nice staff. Wait staff is very quick and courteous. Nathan and Christina, the hosts, are very welcoming and always have some fun small chat. Food is incredible. Avocado and Shrimp Toast, pancakes, deviled eggs, caesar salad and the Marlowe burger. All excellent. Keep up the great work Park Tavern!

One of my new favorite spots in the city. I’ve been here twice so far and I already can’t wait to go back! I believe that Park Tavern is run by the same people as Marlowe. This place is pretty live and the décor is very nice. It’s super dark in the restaurant which is only a downside for me since I have to keep flashing every time I take a picture of the delicious food… First things first, GETTHEPTFRIES. As I get older, I stop craving unhealthy foods now like chips, sodas, but especially fries. But these fries are so good, I don’t even feel ashamed after I eat them. They come with a soft cooked egg topped with caviar and truffle sauce. I can’t even put into words how this combination tastes. You just have to order it. Both times I came here, my friend and I shared a Poulet Noir, which I believe is the best item on the menu. It’s a whole roasted chicken topped off with this delicious thin brown sauce. The chicken is seasoned perfectly and the meat is just so tender. The menu changes here, so the first time we had it, there were beets and other mouth watering vegetables that came with it. The second time, we had this amazing root vegetable stuffing. Honestly, I can’t even say which one was better because it’s just so hard! This is a must order. I’ve also tried the Pan Seared Red Snapper, which was excellent. It came with black and white risotto, which was interesting and it was what really made the dish good. The brussel sprouts are a good side dish to get also. I would skip the Beef Tartare and the Marlowe Burger, which I didn’t find that great. We also tried the Pumpkin Bread Pudding, which was I enjoyed except I wish it came out hot fresh out the oven. The service is top notch. We were served by the same server both times we came here, and she never kept us waiting. She was super friendly and attentive.

I went to Park Tavern on New Years Day brunch and got there about half an hour early, to be greeted by a line of people already! They take reservations but we didn’t get one in time and was hoping to be seated upon arrival. When the restaurant opened, the host was very efficient in getting the line in the door quickly, whether they had a reservation or not. We choose to sit at the bar over the community table and had a great experience. Service was quick and everyone else around us also seemed to be happy with their food. Food: — Smoked Salmon Benedict: This was delicious! The horseradish sauce on it paired well with the smoked salmon and all the flavors worked excellently together. The only thing I’ll say is, if you are famished, this might not be enough for you. It’s nothing fancy; it’s exactly what is on the menu, so I was satisfied. — Chorizo & Eggs: I only had a bite of this, but if I was looking for a scramble, this is what I’d get next time. It was a generous serving and had great flavors as well; oftentimes, the egg is overpowered by everything else in the scramble, but this seemed well balanced. Ambiance: — After ordering my food, I found myself looking around the restaurant for a few minutes. The environment(especially during the holiday season!) felt very warm and cozy. It wasn’t too loud in the room either, even with many people around us. — I would suggest sitting at the communal table or the bar for an intimate experience(the communal table made it easy to talk intimately across from one another), if you don’t mind having people on both sides of you. There is also some side-by-side seating by the chefs, looking at the open kitchen. Otherwise, there are more formal tables in the larger room of the restaurant that looked good as well. So far, this is my favorite of the Weinberg restaurants(I’ve been to Marlowe and the Cavalier). I definitely plan to come back here for many meals in the future!

Can’t say much for the food(was actually looking forward to trying superb sounding menu options), but the hostesses were rude… which is a no no for me. I made an opentable reservation, making a note that it was a birthday dinner and we would like a nice table. There was a window seat available, but we were told(with plenty of snarky attitude) we wouldn’t be able to sit there. Frankly ruined the beginning of our evening and we chose to go somewhere else with more professional and accommodating service. Maybe my own shortsightedness in arranging a special occasion meal at a «tavern.» Note: inside is loud if you prefer a quieter place to converse.

We were on our way to Mama’s and ended up hear because the lineup for Mama’s was insanely long. I thought overall Park Tavern’s was a decent joint. We ordered a lot of food for two people: Deviled eggs: 3⁄5 Avocado toast: 4⁄5(super simple but tasty) Oatmeal pancakes: 5⁄5 Spinach omelette: 3⁄5 Deep fried muffin balls: 2⁄5 The last items was not a good idea considering how rich and heavy it was. Taking a bite out of that was pretty much like drinking the oil from the deep fryer.

Cozy restaurant with great food. This place always seems crowded but you can always hang out by the bar first while you wait for your table. Tables are seated pretty closely together so noise level is pretty high. Booked a 9:45pm reservation and the restaurant was still pretty rowdy when we left after closing time. Plenty of options on the cocktail menu to go with your food! Steak tartare appetizer is amazing and served with tiny lettuce cups which was a first for me. Can’t go wrong with a marlowe burger and extra side of roasted brussels sprouts either. Everything on the menu sounds delicious so you won’t go wrong with whatever you end up picking :)

The Wood-fired pork chop is a generous portion(you could possibly share it with 2, but it’s so tasty, perhaps not, hehe). But seriously, this chop is delicious in many ways. The skin is crisp and has a layer of fatty goodness underneath, and the meat is juicy. Though the dish itself is incredibly rich, the pickled medallion onions and greens provide the acidic bite to keep you in the game. GETTHEPORKCHOP! You’ll enjoy it. PS: the ambiance here is pretty chill too. Good place to enjoy with friends.

My friends and I had a lot of time to kill waiting for our table at Tony’s pizza so we decided to grab some happy hour drinks here. The décor and ambiance are great – very upscale casual. We sat ourselves at a long table in the bar area and settled down with some drinks. I just had a beer(forget what I had but I think the name had the word«monky» in it) but some of the others tried their cocktails and declared them to be well-made and delicious. I wouldn’t mind coming back the next time I’m in the area! STEPHJUDGEMENT: Nice classy place to grab drinks in the area.

Great service, awesome location and interior, and a really nice ambiance make this upscale American eatery worth a visit. Our server was very attentive, introduced several of his favorites, and checked in to see how everything is going. The menu is well-balanced — fancy traditional American food, with the CRISPYLEMONCHIPS($ 14) and the«MARLOWE» BURGER($ 16) standing out. I cannot, however, neglect the HUSHPUPPIES($ 10) or the PERFECT Manhattan — DAMN! That was good!(but number two was even better!) — yes, I had a driver ;)

I highly recommend you start with the Demons on Horseback, which are lardo wrapped prawns. Come on, how can you pass up anything with lardo? Just try it. It’s amazing. And the remoulade is deliciously creamy. Mussels were also very good. Loved the broth! Soaked up every last drop with bread. High quality, flavorful, fresh… Superb. Finally, I’m pretty picky about my cocktails, but this place definitely exceeded my expectations. Lotta’s Fountain was boozy, refreshing, and the right amount of sweet. My husband, who likes very spirit forward drinks, enjoyed the Country Lawyer. We both walked away happy!

I got offered to sit at the chef’s counter and said yes with a grand smile! The chef’s counter has only 4 seats available and on the kitchen side. It was a very pleasant view to watch the staff prep, cook, make it presentable and pick up the entrees ready to go, go, go. The ambiance to this place is dimly lit and they have an outdoor seating area that is great for a nice, warm, weather day. Their beer selections are swell. Belgium beer for the win. Do order up their deviled eggs. Smooth, but crisp from the bacon, it is a delight as an opening starter to the palate. That truffled Poulet is savory and delicious with every bite I took. The presentation is a stand up chicken. I love truffle flaaaaavor and when you put it on a juicy Poulet, it is perfect. I couldn’t get enough of that truffle buttery richness so I used the squash that was surrounding the roasted Poulet, to dip into the truffle jus and I was just in truffle, savory haven! It is so mouth quenching-palate gooooooood! Their burger was yummy and guaranteed to hit the spot. I used the fries and dipped that into the truffle Poulet jus. It was great service and we were well attended. Taverns were of the mediocrity to me, until I have encountered this and a few others. Now, I look forward on dining at taverns because they are a great spot to whine down at, shy away from the crowd, if wanted, and have a great gourmet time!

Enjoy your meal guys
