Pauline is the VERY BEST. I’ve been in the hands of so many massage therapists, I can’t even count and Pauline is singularly impressive. She’s an expert in every sense of the word: knowledgeable, experienced, gifted, conscientious, and genuinely caring. One treatment and you will feel so renewed you’ll wonder how you’ve managed to go so long without her. Warning: once you see Pauline you’ll never be satisfied with anyone else! (And no, I’m not her personal friend or relative. Just a VERY satisfied and grateful customer.)

I first discovered Paulene through a Bloomspot at Double Happiness Health, but I’ve become a devotee ever since and have seen here there a handful more times as well as California Pacific’s Health and Healing building. She is a real professional, inquiring what your issues are upfront and checking in regularly to ensure pressure is good, etc. I’m a triathlete and cyclist, and she does wonders to rid my muscles of their lactic acid and maintain my flexibility and range of movement. She’s also pretty easy to make an appointment with via the phone or text. I’ve seen many, many massage therapists and body workers here in SF but Paulene is tops!

An extremely generous friend treated me to what turned out to be a much-​needed massage.
I have heretofore not been a big fan of deep tissue massage: it has been painful and too often, I left the massage table feeling battered and more stressed out than before the treatment.
Paulene was a revelation. Her technique is amazing: she walks you through what she’s doing and why she’s doing it, and her deep knowledge of muscle groups and how they work together was very impressive. I basically floated out of the therapy room a renewed man.

Pauline is the best at deep tissue massage. If you want those tight muscles to relax, there is no better person in the city. I’ve tried many, many spas and Pauline is the best.
For an extra fee, she will even come to your home with the massage table, so afterward, you can just relax.

Paulene is a miracle worker and has saved me on many occasions! She has incredibly strong hands and knows a lot of modalities, so she can tailor her approach to your needs. I love her shiatsu work. Paulene is a kind spirit who really cares about her patients. She also gives you suggestions for stretching and movement.

I’ve had occasional massages from Paulene over the past 12 years. She is amazing. I’ve had numerous other masseuses in various places and none have ever come close to Paulene. It’s soothing, therapeutic and well, great. Do be warned — if she does deep tissue, it can be very deep. Drink lots of water afterwards to wash away all the toxins she has released. But, she’ll adjust and lighten up if you want.
