If you are looking for the best catering company… Look no further. We recently had a wedding up in Tomales Bay and Pear and Pepper went above and beyond on every level. The staff was amazing and the food was impeccable. They were an absolute delight to work with and I seriously cannot say enough good things about this company. We had a very high end group attending our wedding and I can’t count how many compliments they received.

Lisa & Steven are an amazing duo! My company often has events or happy hours catered at my office and Pear & Pepper were by far the best. While others caterers only whip out a table & put a white cloth on it, Pear & Pepper take great care to think about how the food & drinks are being presented.
Usually, people in my office grab a plate & beer and go back to their desk to work. At the happy hour that Pear & Pepper catered, it was the first time people actually stayed & mingled around because P&P created a space where people actually wanted to stay. For simple office happy hours caterers typically put out a fruit/​cheese plate & drinks with no thought put into it. But Pear & Pepper actually took the time to design a great environment.

I recently went to a charity event catered by Pear and Pepper. If you are going to donate food, please don’t be skimpy, and please don’t prepare unappealing brown colored lumps of mystery food (other than a bright green thing that scared me). Servers looked bored or indifferent. Their whole presentation looked and tasted cheap. I go to charity events all the time with donated food and most do a stellar job, but not this company. Very disappointing.

The hunt for a caterer for our 10.10.10 wedding began in August of 2009. I used Unilocal to help find what we were looking for:
1) had to have vegan options
2) would be engaged in every level of planning
3) be able to pull off an intimate party with every little detail cared for so that it looks easy to those attending the event.
I got tons of responses — I’m sure many were really great caterers — however P & P really steps up their game and acknowledges that it’s not just about setting up tables, serving food and drink, and going home.
Lisa and Stephen are truly masters at what they do! I’ve been working with Lisa for months in planning the event. She has been spectacular! She’s so creative and has been giving me great inspiration for my DIY wedding décor. She gets totally stoked about the new ideas that stem from our discussions.
We can’t wait to have them running our event. We have no doubt that it’s going to be a smash! I’ll post photos and update my review with specifics after the event — but in the meantime — I have no qualms about singing their praises from every rooftop! They’re awesome!

Pear and Pepper are the best! for many years, I ran an event space in San Francisco and had to deal with literally hundreds of caterers. So with some degree of experience, I can say that Pear and Pepper always impressed! The food was delicious. Their crew was super friendly and professional. I was in charge of organizing the holiday party for the non-​profit I volunteer with this year. After making many calls to random bars/​restaurants and having no luck with the budget that I was working with, Pear & Pepper came through big time. They not only hooked us up with a very cool space for the evening (Rosewood Bar), they provided a great spread of food at the bar which everybody raved about.
The party went off without a hitch — seriously, I arrived 30 minutes early thinking that there would need to be some kind of a last minute scramble but everything was taken care of. All I had to do was enjoy myself which I did. Thanks Pear & Pepper!

My husband and I recently hosted an event for about 40 people and used Pear & Pepper for the catering. They were highly recommended from a friend that has also used them in the past. If you are in need of high quality catering that is not going to break the bank, this is the company for you!
One of the things that makes Pear & Pepper so amazing is that they have zero attitude. Lisa truly enjoys her line of work and it shows in every little detail. The food is delicious and the presentation is fabulous!
Our menu included passed hors d’oeuvres and a dinner buffet. The chicken breast with roasted garlic and tomato crust was delish and I LOVED the fennel salad. They also served several vegetable dishes, all with a mediterranean flair. All of the ingredients were super fresh. For dessert they served mini cupcakes that I could have eaten about 20 of! Yum yum yum!
We will definitely work with Pear & Pepper again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caterer.

i met lisa when her company provided lunch for a conference i attended. i was impressed by the quality and presentation of the food (yes presentation does count even for bag lunches!). so a couple months later when i decided that i didn’t want to stress over cooking for my birthday party, i remembered pear and pepper and looked them up… and boy was a glad i did! i get frustrated pretty easily when i’m trying to plan big events but working with lisa made the whole process fun. she presented me with several well planned menu options and worked with me to include my suggestions (i am kind of a food snob), and offered some great ideas (like using my grill to prepare some of the food). when the big day arrived all i had to do was open the door and point out the table, and soon it was covered! the presentation again was excellent, the food was beautiful and delicious, and lisa & her crew were a lot of fun (once i convinced them that this event was a little less formal than what they were used to). and best of all i got to sit back and relax with my friends while someone else did the work. i’ll never waste another party slaving over the grill while everyone else eats!

Dani and Lisa of «Pear and Pepper» truly work magic! They balance the imaginative with the practical, and handle all the details so you may enjoy your own event.
Their staging is gorgeous, the food is beautiful and delicious, and the service (from inception to teardown to follow-​up) is impeccable.
