While it has great ambiance for doing computer work, my experience was clouded by my poor tasting beverage. I’ve had matcha green tea before, but this was inedible. I brought it to the front requesting a new order and did not get any sort of assistance. I am not one to complain about restaurants and post about them, but my one advice: do not get the iced matcha green tea. It’s WAY too sweet, too expensive($ 4 for a small), not tasty, and not the best service.

The food options were a bit boring, However, it was perfect for doing work because the tables were large, there was ambient light, and it was very quiet. The cashier was very friendly, and I will definitely come back!

I came here once for breakfast, and on a different occasion came here for basically an entire workday. While the other places in the vicinity were too crowded to find a place to sit, this place was nearly empty, which I don’t understand! In addition to having delicious food and coffee, it was quiet, with a plug for my laptop and free and fast internet. Plus, the owner is very friendly!

I really really want to like this place — I’ve been coming off and on for the last 3 years with mixed results, but lately I’ve been reminding myself why I should head across the street to Bello instead — and today was the clincher: overpriced New York bagel with a sad amount of cream cheese and when I got to the second half of it, a piece of hair was under it… ugh. I told them, and was given a ho hum«that happens, we’re sorry». I’m sorry too — because I’m done giving this adorable place a chance to prove me wrong.

Came in for a breakfast sandwich and was pretty disappointed. It seems pretty hard to mess up a breakfast sandwich, but ours were limp and flavorless. You’re better off at McDonalds! One star for having decaf coffee but I won’t be back, even though I walk by every day and live in the neighborhood.

Decided to stop in and try one of their breakfast sandwiches. I got a muffin egg cheese bacon. Nearly $ 6 bucks, I didn’t look at the price before ordered, that’s my fault. There was bacon only on about half of the English muffin and I didn’t taste it as much as it was crunchy. If you’re in Glen Park go spend a little bit more and get a real breakfast at Tiger café or wait and go to McDonald’s to get a better breakfast sandwich for half the price.

Got a veggie sandwich here, kind of disappointing. The menu says it comes with onions, pickles, mustard, the usual. Only had lettuce, tomatoes, avocado and cheese. You’d think with a veggie sandwich you would at least get all the normal ingredients considering there is no meat in it… I can’t believe I paid $ 7 for this! Oh well, the staff were nice, but I wouldn’t go here again.

They make good lattes and the their plan bagel breakfast sandwiches are pretty good. I would agree this place is a little pricey but i like to sit down and read the paper and this place has good light whereas Bello across the street is so dark and hard to read in unless you are staring at a computer screen.

We were on a time schedule in Glen Park and were on the look out for light lunch fare. Please note this review is for lunch only. Customer service is friendly and prices were affordable, but the food was mediocre. My friend ordered a vegetarian salad that was missing a few key ingredients(broccoli and cauliflower), but wasn’t told this beforehand. I ordered a BLT that lacked bacon and looked like a simple homemade sandwich. I also ordered an apple that was quite dry and not fresh. I didn’t get a chance to try the coffee or baked goods.

As a Korean myself, I like to support local Korean-run businesses, but Pebbles doesn’t make the cut. I came here because Bello was packed and I needed a wifi café. The inside is pretty spacious, cute in an old fashioned retro way. Sat down to order a house coffee and Italian soda and it cost $ 5.34 Kinda pricey given both were just mediocre. Given I only had 5 bucks in cash, had to bust out the credit card, and the lady charged 50 cents. Pretty steep given my purchase was 10% of the cost. Why not try upgrading to Square? Anyways, I did have a productive morning given it’s quiet and spacious, but that’s because this spot has not gained local popularity. Also, I spent 5 min staring at the menu board and was pretty surprised by the high cost of every item. C’mon now, this is a café, not some gourmet lunch spot.

I met someone here to «work» but assumed it would be a café with decent baked goods. They only had pre-packaged muffins and poundcake which looked kind of greasy and scary. I was able to have a cappucino with soy milk while my friend had a sandwich. I guess if I were into sandwich shops this might be a good choice… but I’m not. The owners were very nice and let us stay longer than their closing time. But… it’s not a café… it’s a sandwich shop.

The owner is the nicest. I love the Veggie sandwich on Dutch Crunch. I think I will try the Korean Barbecue sandwich. It is good to give your business to a small business, I am sure they will remember you and make your favorites again and again.

What drew me in to this place was the cute décor and the clean interior. I stepped inside and realized that I was the only patron there. The eyes of a kind woman greeted me immediately and eagerly waited for me to make an order. I looked over to the menu and saw how expensive and bland everything was… I’M NOTGOODINSITUATIONSLIKETHIS! I wanted to leave, but I didn’t want to be rude. Feeling trapped, I thought I would order a sandwich because I was hungry. I ordered the Club. After quite a while, my sandwich was ready for me. When I saw it, I wished I got clubbed in the head instead for my stupidity. I can’t believe I paid over $ 8 for a simple ham sandwich made from cheap Costco bought Oroweat sliced bread and Oscar Mayer ham. The only special thing about it was that it was cut into quarters. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Never again. Grrrr, why are adorable middle aged ladies my Kryptonite?!

I’ll admit — you kind of have to go more than once to see the beauty in the service. The ladies here are teaching me Korean and I adore them, but yeah, it didn’t happen on our first date. The coffee here is definitely above average and fairly priced, too, but there is a lot of competition on the block. After receiving some rude treatment and nasty coffee at Bello and, frankly, not the best coffee at my beloved Canyon market, I decided to make this my regular morning coffee joint on the way to BART. It was after my first successful«Kam sam meeda» that the ladies began my Korean lessons. I’m up to ‘hello”, «good-bye» and«good morning» now and still trucking. I love this place — its good coffee and the kind of place where it still pays to be a regular.

Although it’s cute and all, I really don’t need something drawn on the top of my foam lattemochachino to know it’s good. I also rarely order those, so I like Pebbles Café for the breakfast slash get your coffee and run. I mostly go for the coffee, they carry Coffee Triste and have several types that are brewed fresh. I might even go for a water, juice and coffee beverage-heavy brekky. I also like the bagels, which I refer to Hangover Bagels — since it’s when I let myself indulge. I like fresh onion bagels, toasted with cream cheese, tomato and red onion. Perfect for starting off my morning, either on the way to or from Glen Park Bart. I got places to go!

Ugh, can I give this place a negative rating? Cafes are supposed to be friendly, inviting places to have quiet conversations and a bit of an escape from the city buzz outside aren’t they? Well, first of all… the service is GODAWFUL. Rude, RUDE, Rude service from the manager on down. And to boot, my cappuccino tasted like motor oil mixed with dirt. Jump across the street or down the block and you WILLBE much better off!

This place is cute and small. It’s located across the street from the Glen Park BART station. We were in the area for a business meeting at 4 o’clock, but we hadn’t had anything to eat all day, so we popped in here. There was a sweet owner who welcomed us. The menu had some nice breakfast items, coffees, and a list of sandwiches. My coworkers got some ordinary sandwiches, but I noticed they had a «bulgoki» sandwich! Yeah, there’s some typos on the chalkboard, but it doesn’t matter. I’ve never had a bulgogi sandwich, so I definitely took the opportunity to try one and I wasn’t disappointed one bit. It was amazing! It was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. It was so juicy! While I raved about how amazing my sandwich was, my coworkers didn’t seem quite as enthused with theirs. To be honest, their sandwiches didn’t look that great, but hey, they only ordered turkey sandwiches or something. How good is that going to be? My boss did note that his sandwich was warm, which he liked. My coworker agreed that his sandwich was quite good, but I’m not sure if he was just trying to be polite because I was raving about how incredible mine was. All I can say is you can make yourself a fine turkey sandwich at home, but when at Pebble’s, you have to get the bulgogi sandwich! Where else are you going to get a bulgogi sandwich?! It’s really the clear winner! Yum Yum!

Some friends and I came down to meet at a coffee shop and just hang out for a little bit. We picked one to go to and the place was packed. We tried another one; also packed. We ended up at Pebble’s, which was completely empty of any customers. We took it as a bad sign but went anyway. It definitely wasn’t horrible like we were expecting, I’d go here again, but probably not any time soon. Just your average coffee and bagels.

I think the next big feature on Unilocal needs to be an auto-aggregator of reviews. Not just to get an average rating, but an actual, algorithmically-generated *review*, that sums up the most common likes and dislikes. In the case of Pebbles Café, which has the distinction of being Glen Park’s lowest-rated eatery, that would probably amount to: «Sandwiches bad. Coffee ok, but Café Bello is across the street, so… yeah.» I heeded the advice and avoided sandwiches, though there was nothing wrong with the bacon breakfast bagel. Also, they have some sort of Korean BBQ dish on the menu, which I can only assume they know how to make well. And yes, lattes are merely average. Don’t forget to put in a dash of «Cinemon»(btw, few places display a cuter non-mastery of English than Pebbles, be it verbal or written), and make sure you can get a table in the window nooks, otherwise I’d have to say go Bello.
