Peter Pan Show at Peter Pan Threesixty Theater

Here at PP360 right now. Show supposed to start at 1:30. It’s 2:06. Still not started. Everyone getting up walking around & leaving. It’s also on the warm side in the tent so dress accordingly. I’m sure the show is good but I wouldn’t know.
2:30. 1 hour late. Announcer stated we would be getting a «slightly different show with different scenery.»
4 years & under: bring some headphones or something bc it is quite loud.

Stayed for an hour and left. We weren’t the only ones either. Mostly parents with toddlers or children under 5.
I agree with other reviewers that Tinkerbell is portrayed as disturbingly insane. Even her hair & eyes. It was very odd. Don’t bring a little girl there hoping to see Tinkerbell. This Tinkerbell is related to the standard Tinkerbell about the same way as Krampus is related to Santa Claus.
Now, the graphics were cool & the actors were pretty good as well. If ages are 10& up I’d say go for it. Venue is small so buy the cheap seats. Will still have a great view. Good luck!

I brought my fiancée to this and I really should have seen some of the videos before I went, because this was definitely for kids. I would not recommend any adults to go unless you have some small kids with you. Extremely cheap and not even worth the TravelZoo discount.

This show leaves much to be desired. I don’t even know where to start.
1) I found it extremely difficult to enjoy the show given all the shouting. I don’t understand why it was difficult to make a Peter Pan play where people speak using normal vocal range. Frankly, all the shouting was unpleasant.
2) Tinkerbell! I am all for creative interpretations of works but Tinkerbell portrayal is most certainly not that of a fairy. Best words to describe her «disturbing». She looked like as if she just escaped a mental institution.
3) Wardrobe. If you are expecting magic of cirque du soleil costumes, you are in for a big surprise. I am certain that Halloween section in Target had more imaginative and whimsical costume selection than what we were offered on stage.
Few positives: projections around the tent were incredible so was the music. However, all the shouting, drab wardrobe, and disturbing Tinkerbell made the show unbearable. We left before even making it to intermission. Not even the sunk cost bias could keep us until the end of the show.
Quick note to parents: this show may not be suitable for those 4 and under. All the shouting, drab costumes, and suspenseful music may scare your little one. On our way to the parking lot we passed 3 – 4 couples with kids leaving.

I saw this show in Houston, TX Oct 18 @ 5:30 and it was not as great as I expected it to be. The whole concept is great (360 surround projection and flying overhead) but the actual execution was not that great. I expected to feel like I was really flying with them but I didn’t feel it. I saw them flying through London and all but no, didn’t work for me. Then I thought they would actually suspend around a bit OVER our heads but I guess I dreamt too much right? They suspended over the stage only and that was fine and all but it would be great if they were able to fly all around above our heads. The characters were ok but strange in that Tinker didn’t have a green tutu or wings (hello?). Her Tutu looked old and faded and not even bright pink, but gray dirty pink. Her character was different. Not as annoying as some reviews have said, just diff. I won’t say why cause I will spoil it. Now, as for Tiger Lily, I didn’t get it. She was dressed up all in a bright dress and dancing all the time. Am I supposed to be impressed with her dancing? Sorry, I wasn’t at all. She seemed mediocre to me and nothing exciting. The lost boys were good as far as their acrobatics so that ok but my favorite character is Pan. Not because he’s the main one, but because he had personality and a great big smile and really genuinely happy. He was great, from his acting, movements on stage, and charisma. The rest of the characters were ok. Wendy’s brothers were acted by grown men and didn’t fool me as little boys. It was so strange. Wendy was good and her movements with her footing when she moved. looks like she’s trained in ballet. You’ll see what I mean.
The crocodile was so LAME. Oh man, I thought, is this it? Is this the hoopla with the Croc? It was strange because it was driven/​operated by people but you can SEE them. I won’t say more to ruin the visual that you will see. I was not impressed.
The volumn of the show was sort of low so you had to strain to listen. With the set up next to the freeway, It was hard at times to hear. You would think they can turn up the microphone but they didn’t. I thought, can anyone hear this?
The mermaids were boring as well. I thought they would do something more exciting but nope, same o same o acrobats you see anywhere.
As for programs for the show, I didnt even get a chance to get it because they didn’t just hand it to you. so I thought I had to buy them but then at intermission I was going to check but forgot! So mad. After the show, you can line up to meet the cast (if it’s the last show of the day). I wanted to because I would have been the second family in line since we bolted out of the tent when the cast came out at ending credits. Husband was like, it’s going to be packed to get out, so leave now. So when we left, the line to meet the cast had one family there. I wanted to take pics with the cast but husband was halfway to the car. Lord have mercy. Well, it was a school night and we did have to leave to eat so yeah. we left.
Anyway, overall, it was only OK for me. I’m glad I did it because it was different but now if there’s another play that is 360, I will not attend because it didn’t wow me like I expected.

I went to see Peter Pan 360 Theater in Houston. It was awesome! The cast kept everyone entertained & me from falling asleep. My favorite part is the 360° view of the colorful panoramic projection above the seating. It really makes you feel like you’re floating through the sky with Peter Pan. I brought my 18 & 9 year olds. They loved it, too. We went on a Thursday for the 7:30 pm show to avoid the large crowd and ate before we got there because it’s a 2 hr show. We got there 40 mins early & got moved from the very top nose bleed row ($ 25) to the front row ($ 80). Score! And self parking was $ 10. Tip: Get there early for a possible upgrade. Bring a light jacket, it’s kinda of chilly inside. Also, I bought candy for the kids ahead of time from Dollar Tree :-) vs $ 4 at the theater. Overall, I highly recommended it!

Loved it! The acting was on point. My daughter was in awe. The projection all around the upper portion of the tent made it look like the actors were really flying. The dog was weird though… Great for kids!

We saw the show in Houston and it was great! Excellent video all around the upper portion of the tent made it look like the actors were flying through town and country while they were nearly stationary while suspended over the stage. Very talented cast. If you wish to meet the cast, you must come to the last show of the day, since they must eat & rest between the earlier shows. Tent stayed cool in spite of the heat outdoors. The tent also stayed dark when lights were turned down, so one could experience the full full effect of the video projected completely around the tent.

My husband and I saw Peter Pan 360 at the Tysons, VA location last night. Based on previous reviews, the show has changed a lot for the better. We had an excellent time and were glad to have gone. Row C Orchestra are great seats, however the theatre is so small that any seats besides Row A would be fine. Row A looks a little too close to the stage. Lightly padded seats were fold-​down and without arm rests. Rows were far enough apart to give ample leg-​room to taller folks, such as us. The weather was hot and humid, yet the tent was perfectly cool. I was glad I brought a cover-​up. Concessions, such as popcorn, water etc, are sold and you may bring them into the theatre. The actors are very talented! High energy through out the whole show! There is singing, dancing, and even beautiful acrobatics. Specifically, the actress who played Princess Tiger Lily is astounding. Her dancing had me in such awe I forgot to clap. Wardrobe is detailed. The set is quite clever. The set pieces flip up from underneath the stage. The show is quite entertaining. Families with children of all ages, even infants, were there. Paired with the moving visual imaging projected on the top tent, we were quite impressed. I recommend this show.

I walked into Peter Pan with no expectations. I didn’t read anything about it and assumed it would a good show because hey, its Peter Pan. A group of us girls grabbed a deal on Gold star for half price tickets. The show started off slow. The best part of the first half was when they flew around with the 3D tent as their background. Half way through, one of my gfs asked if she could leave and go home. She didn’t really enjoy it that much. The end was a little tolerable. But my overall feeling of the show was that it was too long and drawn out. The actors/​actresses portraying the characters weren’t very likable. The tent itself was amazing and the tent where the food/​beverages was held was also great.
Doesnt compare to Wicked but you have to give it up for the «theater» type acting.

I’m so sad that this show is leaving. We saw it last night and got the special ‘farewell’ pricing of $ 40/​adults, $ 20/​kids. I felt like it was a steal. I loved the flying and didn’t feel that the fastening and unfastening of the harnesses took away from the show. I don’t know if they heard about the shouting complaints they were receiving, but I didn’t notice them shouting over each other either. Tick Tock was an awesome contraption and I think he scared the poop out of a little boy who was sitting just a few seats away from us. For those who didn’t appreciate him for what he was? I’m just guessing that maybe Peter Pan was not the show for you.
My husband was really looking forward to Tiger Lily’s thank you dance because of the reviews on here. He ended up a bit disappointed. Yes, it was modern/​interpretive/​a little seductive, but not overly so… but how would you dance if you were a native american fantasy character out of someone’s imagination trying to entice a man? If your kid has ever watched MTV and if MTV still shows videos (not sure they do), your kid has probably seen worse.
I guess I should address Tinkerbell’s language too. I think it’s kind of funny that she liked the word A** so much. It’s funny because I know pretty much every little girl who watches the show will go home and pretend to be Tinkerbell, which will invariably result in her calling people a**es. I don’t have any little girls, so it’s easy for me to see the humor in this, but if I DID have a little girl I would beat her to the punch. I would tell her that as punishment for fairies teaching children bad language, every time a child says the word a**, a fairy dies. No kid wants to be responsible for the death of Tinkerbell.
I don’t know where the show is moving, but if you have the opportunity to see it I think you should. Especially if you get a good deal on the tickets. I think I would still have given it five stars if I had paid full price, but I can’t tell you for sure.

Long before the the story of Peter Pan was put to production as a movie by Disney, it was a story created by J. M Barrie. Peter Pan the stage production of the story is not a new concept, and I had the opportunity to see the play here at the Ferry Building.
The play takes place in the ThreeSixty Theater which is a dome setting with the ability for the characters to assemble themselves to fly over the stage in the middle of the tent. What was interesting is that the stage is that it has a completely different set built on the underside of the stage.
My favorite part of the theater is the 360 view of the panoramic projection above the surrounding seating. It is very colorful and really makes you feel like you’re floating throughout the sky of London as the characters are flying to Neverland.
However, this production does have its negatives. Most notably, there were some slow parts of the story that tended to put me to sleep. The music could have been bit more whimsical and exciting, and there were a few characters that I just couldn’t’ stand listening to.
The Tinker Bell character was the most obnoxious in all ways possible. From her scratchy, squeaky East European accent to her «I’m-a-little-princess, I hate the world and everyone in it Attitude.» I dreaded seeing her float back onto the stage. On top of her annoying attitude and voice, she was dressed as a hobo from hell, with her strangled hair and her Converse-​looking sneakers for shoes.
Tinker Bell’s character was just all bad.
I did enjoy Jonathan Hyde as Mr. Darling/​Captain Hook. He puts a lot personality into the characters and I love a big-​name actor who still chooses to do small pictures because of the love of acting.
My favorite part of the entire venue is the 100 Years of Peter Pan exhibit outside of the theater, which shows the history of Peter Pan spanning from the creation of the story of Peter Pan by J. M Barrie, to the various stage productions to the different movie’s that have been made – Hook, Finding Neverland etc.
Overall, this show is great for kids, as the sets and props used are lots of fun. The 360 panoramic projection is colorful and imaginative. But the slow moments of the play and the character of Tinker Bell really ruined certain parts for me.
Still love the story of Peter Pan regardless.

This was definitely a spectacular and highly entertaining show! The entire set, costumes, and 3D projection in the Threesixty Tent Theater was absolutely amazing! The 3D technology that was innovated into the show really brought Neverland to life. Although this wasn’t the exact Peter Pan that was portrayed through the Disney animation, it was still something along the same theme but just with a unique twist.
Flying scenes were definitely enjoyable as Peter Pan, Wendy, and the kids take off to Never Neverland while taking their audience with them through miles of virtual London and more! The play itself was very well-​acted with such a wonderful cast. Puppetry and props were also great!
My favorite prop of the night was the ginormous ticking crocodile that devoured Captain Hook’s hand. It was driven by 2 people in pajamas on low riding bicycles. Wires from clothes hangers formed its monstrous shape, and its teeth were created from clothes pin. Such a clever and brilliant idea! Loved it!
Overall, the play was such a magical experience and I highly recommend watching it! It was definitely different from the average play, yet still very enjoyable!

Came here a couple months ago, and the best part of the show, in my opinion, was the flying scene=D.
Nevertheless, I enjoyed how they projected the scenery/​background up onto the tent, which means less backdrop changes. I also appreciate the quick changes on the set, where the objects on stage would «automatically» disappear with mechanical assistant, and actors/​actresses would «magically» appear through hidden holes on stage.
I agree with most Unilocalers… wassup with Tinkerbell. I thought she was green with blond hair???
Overall, very well-​planned production. Nice, intimate venue. There’s really no nosebleed seats, so if you’re planning to watch it, just get the cheapest tickets =)

We arrived late to the theater (SF traffic), but we were allowed to go in after a while, led by an annoyed usher. She wasn’t very friendly or understanding, even though there was a handful of other people who were late as well.
While waiting, we decided to get a bite to eat, but we weren’t allowed to eat it in the theater, which was a bit disencouraging, since it was dinner time and we were starving. The little food court where we waited had a TV outside, which gave us a preview of the show. We managed to sneak in a few snacks, and ate them carefully inside.
The show was creative with the stage effects and the smooth movements of the actors with the stage. They seemed to flow well throughout the show. The props, such as the crocodile and the ship, were impressively constructed, but the «360» part, which was basically the 360 screen all around the theater inside, was dismal at most. It was interesting to see the transition from an outdoor setting to a indoor setting on the screen, as well as underwater efforts, but there could have been more that could have been done with that.
Something that was odd was the inclusion of the animals puppeteer. He was very obvious, but I guess that was part of the show, since there was no other way to get those animals on the stage. The little bird was cute and the way it was puppeteered was genuine and humorous.
Also, the character’s flying acts were quite interesting, flying to the top of the theater tent easily on seemingly thin wires.
The seating was not as comfortable as I’d liked, as we had to climb over several legs and feet to get to our seats, and we were thisclose to other audience members that we didn’t know.
The only thing that irked me a bit (and probably a few other audience members) was the innuendos of Tiger Lily and the adult feel of the whole show. For example, Tinkerbell wasn’t an innocent fairy, but Tink, a bitter and selfish fairy that was only concerned about herself and Peter. There seemed to be sexual tension and angst that was a little out of the league of the Peter Pan we know from Disney.
For such an expensive price, the effects and show could have been a little more extravagant. There wasn’t much to gawk at, and the show was slow at times.

After seeing promotion prices for certain seating through Travelzoo, I decided to give the Peter Pan show a whirl. The show is here from now until I believe the end of August.

*Premium — Front to mid seating of sections B, C, and D
*Price 1 — Sections B, C, and D behind Premium seating (I sat in these)
*Price 2 — Sections A & E
*Price 3 — Side of Sections A & E
TIP 1: I recommend Price 1 seating. It gives you almost the same view at premium seats. I don’t recommend sections A & E as some props block your view and you don’t see the performers come out from behind the stage.
TIP 2: Buy your tickets from the onsite box office if you can and avoid the online ticket processing fees.
SHOW: 2 hours and 20 minutes including the 20 minute intermission
If I could use one word to sum up the show, it would be odd. I think I walked in thinking it would be a cute little production, similar to the Disney movie. I’ll admit, the 360 degree ceiling video projection was amazing and something I’ve never seen before — it made it as if the people were really flying at once scene.
**SLIGHT SPOILER**The «animals» in the show were stuffed animals with a guy walking with the animals and making the corresponding animal noises… yeah, it left a wtf look on my face. Tinkerbell wasn’t the sweet fairy like we believe her to be. She tended to hiss and scream «ass» and «damn» a lot while I listened to the kid behind me tell his parents «oooooh, she said a bad word!!». With that said and even though there were a good number of children present, I don’t see this production as being a kid show.
The acting was decent and the show had a slight quirkiness to it, I think this was a onetime experience for this show. I don’t think that the show was aimed for people for the 20something age group as my brother it left my brother with puzzled looks part of the time, but my mom really seemed to enjoy the show.

I thought the show was fantastic. It’s a small enough tent that every seat was wonderful. We sat in the last row and could see everything really well. I loved the screen on the tent. It was really unique. Tink was sassy! Great evening out with friends and family.
A tip on the candy bar. It’s $ 5 for a box and you don’t have to close the box so fill it up. To get as much in as possible, put the small pieces on the bottom. Gummies/​chocolates in the middle, fill the sides with candy canes to make a wall and then fill it up all the way! I’ll post a pic.

Just saw this show on Saturday with friends. Great show. Truly.
The cast did an excellent job, every seat seems like it has a great view and it was a very fun time. The CGI they used for the flying and ocean scenes was great. I thought it added a a very movie like feel and I bet the kids really loved it.
They also thought about their patrons when setting up the before/​intermission part of the show. They had a large snack/​drink tent (with bubbly by the glass!) AND a candy station that was HUGE. It was $ 5 and you could fill up the container they give you. Like not even be able to close it fill up. I asked the girl if Satan ran the show. She responded it was Neverland so we could eat as all the candy we wanted. I reminded her it was the start of bikini season in Neverland just like everywhere else :) So if you have kids (or are grown-​up one) — the candy is a nice touch and great deal.
They had plenty of very clean and well-​stocked restrooms which was nice.
I would imagine kids (and not only adults!) loving it. And it’s not a musical so kids (or husbands) won’t get bored.

I wouldn’t call it a smash hit, but it was an ‘ok’ show.
Something about the stage just didn’t seem like a big production you’d pay $ 100/​seat for.

On the bright side, the acting was great and it made me want to watch Peter Pan again.
We took the premium seats ($ 125/​seat) and it was just ok. The non-​premium seats should be just fine. If I’d pay $ 60/​seat, I would’ve been happy with the show. For $ 100+, I’d go watch Cirque or Wicked again.

I bought tix for Peter Pan way back in November right when they went on sale. They were a bit expensive for me with my meager income, so I decided to go for the (cheaper) preview tickets versus the full price ones.
We arrived pretty much right on time due to traffic and looking for parking. Although we did manage to find parking right on the Embarcadero, almost right in front of the tent. But keep in mind, you still have to pay at the pay stations until 11pm. Although the price goes down after 7pm to only 50 cents an hour (and yes, this was on a weekend). We ended up paying all the way until 11pm and it only cost $ 1.84. What a bargain for San Francisco! But if you don’t mind walking a few blocks, after 6pm, you should find parking on the nearby streets for free parking.
The lines to get into the tent were pretty long but fairly quick moving. There are several lines and I suppose you are supposed to ask before you get into the super duper long line if it’s the right one to go into. It’s just that the different entrances are closer to different sections. We happened to get into the correct line for section D.
Our seats were in Section D Row F, which I thought were really good seats. It seemed to me that since the tent was fairly small that any seat would be good. Although I probably wouldn’t want to sit way up in the first row. That seemed a little too close to the stage for me.
The acting was okay. I loved Jonathan Hyde. He was awesome as Mr. Darling and as Captain Hook. I wasn’t so much into the actors that played the children. And, I don’t know why, but Tinker Bell really bothered me. She’s not a girl’s girl, that’s for sure. She just wasn’t my favorite character. I really liked the crocodile! I love that it was made out of hangers. I thought that was really cool. I do admit that the guy holding Nana/​the ostrich was distracting at first, but I got over it. It’s kind of like when I watched Lion King and there were people holding some of those characters. You just kind of block it out after a while.
I can’t say anything about lines to the bathroom or concession stands because I didn’t go to either, BUT if you’re hungry, go get yourself a Peter Panini! I just LOVE the name!!!

I managed to score seats in Section C, Row A (front row) — for $ 50 per person about 4 hours before the show. The other Unilocalers were right — the tent is small so any seat will give you a good view, although section C is ideal. I’d recommend avoiding Rows A & B, however, since there’s only +/​-​3 feet of space between the front row and the elevated stage.
I grew up LOVING Peter Pan, so I was VERY excited to watch this. Of course, out of fear of disappointment, I kept in mind that it was a new production and prepped myself as well as the people coming with me. reminding them not to expect a Tony Award-​worthy production. After watching the show, I was almost tempted to skip writing a review. I really do want Peter Pan to eventually do well, which I’m sure they will with a few changes here and there.
Excellent concept, poor execution. The IMAX screen made up for a lack of synergy and even worse acting. My favorite scenes were those that involved flying to/​from Neverland. Tinkerbell was amusing (what was that accent she had based on?), and Tiger Lily was entertaining (and very beautiful) until she started speaking. The scene with the mermaids was almost enchanting. Everyone playing the lead roles were weak, with the exception of Jonathan Hyde. Their intonation needs serious work. My personal suggestion would be to hire a voice trainer/​coach off Broadway or something.
It’s a new production, so I’m hopeful that with time, these little kinks will be worked out and it’ll be just as amazing as it was intended to be. I’ll definitely return to watch it again once I know they’ve had more time to rehearse and some improvement has been made.
I did appreciate that the area to wait pre-​show and during intermission was spacious, well-​kept, and offered plenty of seats and tables.
I love San Franciscans. I’ve been to a number of shows where the audience was disrespectful — talking during the show, making comments to show displeasure/​express opinions the rest of room didn’t pay to hear, forgetting to applaud the performers. all of which contribute to a bad experience for everyone, including those on stage. The crowd last night was very considerate, with the exception of a single person in my row… A scatter of people even gave them a standing ovation.
