We ordered a custom meat pizza that tasted very good. It was not overly cheesy, which I personally prefer. The meat was layered in the cheese to make it a hearty pizza. The crust was also tasty.

If you are choosing between Paris Pizza and Pizza Royal go for Royal. I was just in here tonight and it was super fresh?! Was this because it was the night of Bay to Breakers and the city was buzzing like I haven’t seen it since new year’s eve? I ordered a pepperoni and mushroom. My slice came from a pizza with either one or two pieces already missing so likely it had been sitting at least 15 minutes. I loved the flavor and the heft of it and the crust with just a bit of crunch. Not thin crust… not thick crust — medium… perfect. I’m a sucker when the pepperoni is well cooked and edges curl up and get kinda crispy… that is what happened here. Not much visible grease on top but after I was done some grease was on the bottom of my pizza box. For the record when I ordered a plain cheese pizza from pizzelle di north beach no grease was on the bottom of the box… Neither good nor bad — depends if your on a diet I suppose. The restaurant and ambiance is so much nicer than Paris Pizza too. Everything looks brighter, cleaner… Pizzas under the heat lamps look so much more perky too. Give this place a try. A decent choice for pizza by the slice at the odd hour.

Pizza and service were unacceptable. The pizza was very bland, crust was neither crunchy nor seasoned properly. When the pizza was reheated, I asked to run it through again and was unceremoniously denied. Then I asked for some water, to which they said they didn’t offer any. So if you’re drunk and need a place to eat, keep searching. If you’re not drunk, there’s no way you would make the mistake of eating there anyways.

Hey, you can’t party in North Beach without having one of three eating options… 1. Pizza 2. Cheesesteak 3. Hamburger And guess what folks… Pizza Royal has them both, as well as a host of other delicious menu items. My first time coming to this establishment was sometime last year. You know me, I like to do my thang in SF at times and you know… one can become a little tipsey. When you have all that drank in your system you tend to get a little hungry. BTW my first official review of 2016 and new elite renewal! Pizza Royal sits on Broadway right across the Street from Monroe and Hue Lounges respectivly the Bamboo Hut(review coming soon). A few doors down from the Penthouse SF and Scores Bar and don’t get it confused with this other pizza place which is like one door down and kinda blows. Here they serve nice hearty slices of pizza in what I would say is the«North Beach» style. Not NY Style, Not Chicago, but a style all on their own. at least that’s what they clame. They have a great selection of pizza options as well as other menu items such as… Pastas, French Fries, Gyros, Salads, Beer. not that a drunk person would need any. Chicken Marinara, Lasagna and other such things, so you have no shortage of things that may suit your particular taste. Inside seating is just enough to accomidate a casual crowd, although during a sporting event or something the accomidations may be limited. On my visited I had a slice of Sausage and Cheese($ 4.50) and he didnt charge me for the mushroom he added, that was cool of the guy. The pizza was pretty good, pretty well balanced and filling for a slice. In conclusion, if you’re in North Beach, check this place out. Unilocal your own opinion and stay hungry!

Eh. Pizza was cold and my slice of cheese somehow had sausage hidden it which, as somebody who doesn’t eat meat, I wasn’t crazy about discovering. The sauce is pretty good. Dough is average. Could use a little more cheese. I mean, it’s still pizza so it wasn’t like the worst thing that ever happened to me but I probably won’t eat here again.

Wow. Was about to go in and the guy working behind the counter had his pointer finger about 3″ up his nose. Gross!!! Place is filthy in too many ways.

Best pizza on the block. Hot and ready pizza that comes in a slice so big that one slice alone, cannot fit completely on a paper plate. The owner is kind and reasonable while the head cook/chef is amazing with the food. All pizza is handmade, cooked to perfection with good music and television. This place is even open till 3a. m in the morning which is great for me and my work schedule. Thank you pizza royal!!!

This is excellent for what it is: a post-midnight pizza stop. Once I got a Greek salad and it was edible but by no means the best quick service stop in the neighborhood. Helllllooooo so much legit pizza within .1 miles. This is fantastic, hangover-preventing, ready to go pizzas with lots off veggie-centric options, so I’m the biggest fan of setting it as our lyft-home destination, but skip ahead to naked lunch or giordano bros for your regular timed quick dinner.

Ended up here because Nizarios was not opened yet and I was craving a slice of hot, steamy, cheesy, gooey, meaty pizza! I got a slice of Hawaiian pizza here and it was… Well… Just ok. Nothing really special. I just the pizza was warmer. Price-wise, it’s more expensive than Nizarios($ 4/slice). Here, it was $ 4.50 for a slice of Hawaiian pizza.

Horrible pizza, came here looking for a late dinner ordered 3 different slices and they were all bad. Frozen pizzas at your local grocery store are better. Pizza was super doughy, BBQ chicken pizza was built on top of a regular pizza so BBQ sauce followed by traditional pizza Sauce in a bite… horrible…my Friend ordered the Greek salad and they forgot cucumbers croutons and mushrooms… However staff was extremely friendly and hospitable, that is why I’ll give this place 2 stars.

Pizza is delicious when fresh! we came here on October 28th at 2:30am and there was a homeless guy inside. I told the employee I want to buy the homeless guys’ pizza and they said don’t worry about it and gave it to the guy for free. 1st class service!
