Porto’s clothes are very, well, Italian. Edgy styles in interesting textures yet in everyday and conservative colors, and mostly fit for more petite framed individuals. No doubt, the sign outside caught my attention right away indicating a sale of up to 80% off so I had to take a peek. There was one rack of $ 49 or $ 39 and under immediately when you enter, but only a few things really caught my eye and fit my style throughout the entire store. The woman working there greeted us right away as we entered from the hallway from above on the second floor. Maybe next time I’ll try something on, just maybe a tunic or something because not a single top here could cover my torso.

I walked down the looong hallway, memories of the Haunted Mansion going through my brain and was confused to find that Porto has two floors and you have to walk up the stairs to get to the actual area. They did have a nice trick with a mirror to make the room seem large, but the truth is the place looks like an old apartment. Not unheard of in SF I’m sure. I am not a fan of the start up shops that have more space than clothing, but Porto only bordered on this because they did have some interesting clothing and a nice amount of it. However their prices weren’t my thing. This is why I avoid shops like this in Walnut Creek. You end up paying 100 dollars for a single Jersey knit tee. Which if you’re me, you spill POM juice on two days after buying it. The customer service was good, but I probably won’t be back.

Porto carries a variety of lovely Italian clothes. Also check out their selection of Matt and Nat purses and bags from Montréal(they’re vegan!) I bought one the last time I visited the store and am more than happy with it! Porto also has a wonderful selection of pretty jewelery. The store’s owners are fabulous people.
