I have been getting my color done by Mimi for many years. She has a background in chemistry and really knows how to take care of my hair. I have dark hair and have no desire to change my natural shade… Mimi makes sure the color stays true each and every time. The personal attention I get is wonderful and I never feel like I am being rushed in and rushed out.

Delean is great! Super funny and talented. I would highly recommend him, but be prepared to pay as he is kind of pricey. BUT, for me, I don’t skimp on my hair or skin so it was totally worth it! The salon is cute but small and located in a great part of Nob Hill.

I, too, have followed Dealan around like a groupie, from Pitch to Shag to Pout. Dealan is the most fantastic colorist I’ve ever encountered — and I’ve tried a few! My hair is the color it was when I was a toddler, and I get compliments all the time (mostly from people who think it’s my natural color — cat’s out of the bag now!). If Dealan were in Beverly Hills he’d be charging about three times the price.
Great color, fun gossip and the requisite zines all in a jewel box of a space right off Union Square. It doesn’t get much better than this.

Dealan is my favorite out of all the hairstylists I have been to. I don’t trust my hair to just anyone, but with Dealan I let him do what he wants. He always gets it just perfect, from cut to color. He is such a talented hairstylist and so funny and sweet to boot! I even went to the same guy for about 15 years until I met Dealan. Now I only let Dealan do my hair.

I just called this «salon» to ask for pricing on an updo since I have to be in a wedding and am staying at a local hotel. The obnoxious woman who answered the phone responded, «we dont do updos or weddings and hung up on me!
I cannot believe these people run a service. No matter how busy you are, she should have given me a chance to respond! Too bad for her… I will write this review on every site possible!

Mimi is a FABULOUS colorist. I’ve had my highlights done across the country in great salons, but I’ve never been so satisfied. She knows her stuff so you know you can trust her with your hair. She’s an extremely interesting person to chat with as well. And a complete stunner. Not that that matters lol but hey, beauty is always a nice bonus.
I’m thrilled with the way my hair turned out, and whenever I’m in the city by the bay, she’ll be the only one I go to. Highly, highly recommend. Book ahead because she does NOT work full time and works one weekend out of two.

I have followed Dealan from Oxen Rose, to Shag (owners are testy), to Pout (owner is really wonderful).
My hair is almost 90 percent gray and difficult to color. I had been working on getting the color to a medium brown, but when I would go to have it professionally colored the colorist would inevitably make it dark brown almost black. Back to the drawing board for me, this went on for years!
Then I found Dealan! I have wonderfully healthy shiny medium brown hair now, with light streaks, it looks natural and my grey doesn’t look like a skunk stripe a week after coloring. Dealan is brilliant!

Mimi is the only person I trust my highlights to! She is a master colorist, and a wonderful person to chat with as well — especially important for a process that can take as long as mine. :-) I used to drive from SF to Mill Valley to see her, and have been so happy that she moved to her darling salon near Union Square. I always look forward to seeing her — Mimi is one fabulous gal and amazing at what she does.

Yeah for Mimi! In a pinch, she fixed my highlights just in time for my get away to Mexico! I love the quaint space and the individual attention that she gives to her clients. I can’t wait for her to expand to Marin. She is now my go-​to gal in the city.

There’s only one person I trust with my hair, and that’s Keith Dill. He used to work at di Pietro Todd on Fillmore, but I decided to follow him here to this salon, cause he’s my favorite. He comes up with the most unique styles, and takes his time with you. He’s friendly, and not fake like the other stylists I’ve come across, and he always makes sure you’re satisfied with his service.

I have lived in SF for almost 10 years and can honestly say Keith Dill is the best hairstylist! I’ve been to all the big salons and have never found someone this good. He does great cuts, styles, and extensions. He brings years of training at top salons and is up-​to-​date on cutting edge techniques. I trusted him to do extensions for my wedding and they were done seamlessly. He is the best!

Nicole is a highly trained haircolorist who’s worked at the best salons in town & now owns Pout Salon. It’s a mini-​sized mod themed salon not far from Union Square. There’s a reason Nicole has been covered in magazines like In Style & Lucky!

From hair extensions to hair color Mimi knows what she’s doing. Not only is her salon cozy, she makes you feel right at home. I would recommend Mimi to anyone who wants to look great. Oh, btw… thats a girl friend talking… not me… but I’m sure she’s right.

Mimi is awesome. She’s fun, witty, and most importantly, does fantastic color! I just got a partial highlight today and it looks beautiful. She took plenty of time with me to make sure she understood what I wanted. Also, she finishes her color jobs with a thorough blow-​out.
Her shop, Pout, is an adorable space right near union square, whimsically painted with orange and pink tones.
I am one happy customer!
