It is a very fishy! Not recommend tourists to enter even for curiosity. homosexuals there are very uneducated.

I went there yesterday for my Bday, such a good place! $ 1 cocktails, pretty good music, you can even dance! I had a great time! It’s such a great idea to have this kind of happy hour on Mondays. The place is pretty crowded, but we had enough place for dancing. The location just near the Castro station and the F Line is ideal. Since it was my birthday and my friends paid everything for me, I couldn’t check if they accept credit card or not. The cocktails were not too soft, not too strong, just enough.

Music was okay very 2009 for my taste but hey I can dance to it so I can dig it! Downfall of this place is the guy that ran up and STOLEMY MONEY from the ATM while I turned around for a second to give my gf a kiss be careful use the atm there. I told the security guard and they did nothing not cool.

This is the place to go to if you want to dance your night away. I came here on a Friday night and the music was popping. Cover was $ 3, which is not bad at all. The DJ had the crowd dancing with all their throw back 90’s hip hop/R&B hits. Also, they have a tiny seat/stage area on the side of the dance floor that was quite fun to dance on. Crowd was friendly and the dance floor wasn’t super packed. Wish I was here dancing the night away instead of writing this review. But I know I will be back in the future.

I waited about 20 minutes to go to the bathroom(there’s only 1 bathroom for women) and just when I was next the security guard stood up in front me and said the bar is closed you gotta go so I said I really need to go please! And he pushed me and yelled me asking me to leave the place! Who does he think he is to treat people like that! I’ll never go there again and of course I won’t recommend it

Honestly, when I went here with my boyfriend, I was already tipsy, but remember a couple of things that I didn’t like: 1. The music 2. The super strong drinks The music that they were playing in here wasn’t really music that anyone could dance to. There was no one in the dance floor. I was reading some reviews, and when we went here on a Friday night, it was surprisingly empty. In regards to the drinks, my boyfriend got me a Moscow Mule(my favorite drink), I expected what I expect from a mixed drink: thoroughly mixed. Not this one, it tasted like straight up vodka shots. Since my alcohol intake isn’t as high as my boyfriend’s, I ended up giving it to him. Would I come back here again? I mean, yeah, I’d give it another shot.

It bothers me that this is considered a «gay bar.» Let’s talk Mondays, AKA«International Night» — so named because someone real bright told all the Europeans bumming around in SF hostels that Q Bar has dollar drinks. Those drinks taste like jet fuel, but hey, for a buck, who really cares? Not the ladies. And oh, does Q Bar have honeys. Lots and lots of them. And if you’re like me, and dance like a flaming glitter queen, they either give you the once over like you’re a crazy freak — thanks homophobes! — or they want you to be their bestie, like you’re a poodle. For gay men, Booty Call Wednesday is a great event for you here if you’re sick of being a tool at Beaux the other six nights a week. And on a serious note — Cabure, the photographer, is really amazing at this event. The staff is pretty friendly and the music is fun. I’m in this place a lot these days. I just wish I enjoyed it a bit more.

Mixed feelings about this bar has led me to give it four stars. I have a substantial number of gay friends and so I often find myself at places like this. Monday night this place $ 1 well drinks. This means some crappy vodka or rum for $ 1. It’s really not a bad deal, but beware, you will wake up with a headache! The music is so good here. I’m amazed to say that Sunday, Monday and even Tuesday this place is popping with 90s music that will have even the most stubborn wallflower bouncing from wall to wall. One thing I didnt like, and maybe why I docked a star is the $ 5 cover on a Monday night. That, in my opinion is a little stupid, but alas. Can’t wait to visit again :)

Loud, crowded, good drinks, but bring your cash. I usually have a better time at 440 though.

I thought it was a random cover charge amount($ 3) which is not much, so why charge it, right? The music was good. Bartenders, great – heavy pours, which is always nice. The go-go dancers, well… Let’s hope they have a day job cause they weren’t getting tipped. It was a bit warm in there – i felt like I was in the middle of a sauna.

DONOTCOMEHERE!!! I live in the city and I have friends visiting so we decided to do a Castro tour. I’ve been here few times before and I’ve witnessed a lot of TERRIBLE diva SERVICE but last night was simply RIDICULOUS. The bar manager is not only RACIST but he doesn’t know anything about customer service. He was making fun of my friend who doesn’t speak English and he got so upset bc we ordered twice extra ice I even offered to pay for it since he was giving me such an attitude about it. Next thing I know, security told us we had to leave. WTF?. I’m 5’1 girl, 112lb Definitely not a threat to anyone.

Two for one drinks! Friendly bar staff. Great music. Just remember to not let your guard down in the Castro. Wallet? –front pocket! iPhone? – the other front pocket! Jacket? – pockets zipped and wearing it! Alcohol buzz? – mellow but still have my wits about me. Sad but true –this is what it has come to in quite a few bars here in the Castro.

Where to begin. Q-Bar has cheap drinks(cash only), great music, and a fun vibe — one of the best gay bars(it’s a club at night). Make no mistake, Q-Bar is TINY, but the right size that it’s perfect because: –You never lose your friends –Even on a slow night it seems crowded –The bar is literally touching the dance floor I’ve only been to Q-Bar twice but had a great time both times. Be warned — the bartenders are picky with who they serve. There’s no semblance of a line, bartenders pick those they know or those who have tipped well in the past. They also make no apologies for it. Last Saturday night there was a $ 5 cover, I suspect this is standard for a weekend night.

Place was fun!!! Music was great! DJ brought back a lot of the best old school songs! The dancers were enjoyable to watch and the crowd was interesting for sure! Drinks were pretty decent ad only negative it’s cash pay only! But I’ll return!

DONOTEVERGOTOTHISPLACEUNLESSYOUWANTYOURIPHONESTOLEN! I went out with my friends to QBar last night and someone stole my iphone 6 plus from my cross body bag that was *on my body the whole night.* The coat check woman was nice enough, telling me that two other people had their phones stolen ONEHOUREARLIER! THREEPEOPLEINONENIGHTIN A TINYCASTROCLUB! If you are a girl who owns an iphone DONOTGOTOQBAR! I was dancing the whole night, it was pretty packed so I have absolutely no idea when someone would have stolen my phone. My bag was on my body, it did NOT have a zipper, but was latched shut(I thought). Some serious criminals prowl QBar obviously. Do you want to lose $ 1,000 in 10 minutes? Do you want to feel alone and exposed? Because that’s how you will feel at 1am outside this DISGUSTINGESTABLISHMENT where thieves prey on people who are trying to enjoy their Friday night and get away from the work week. If you’re reading this and feel even 1% of the fear that I experienced at Qbar last night, please please please do NOT go there. I beg you. I don’t want other people to get scammed and have to shell out $ 1,000 after being robbed. DISGUSTINGPLACE I am NEVER going back.

This is such a fun gay bar in the Castro to go to with friends. I came here with a group of Friday after The Café because we wanted to dance. The music is fun, and there was a good amount of people here, but not too crowded that you felt claustrophobic like at most clubs. Drinks are not expensive, which is nice for San Francisco, but there is a cover to get in. It’s not a lot, but still — kind of annoying. Back to drinks — my friend got a vodka soda, and I got a whiskey sour; they were both pretty strong and not watered down at all which surprised me given how quickly they were made and how there seemed to be shortage of bartenders. Overall — a great bar to come to for dancing and drinks!

Cheap drinks on saucy Tuesday’s but dmn seriously 1 stall bathroom for women’s!!! I had to wait 20 – 30 mins twice bc a group of 3 ladies decided to do coke and have a girls time in the only bathroom twice. This place is popping but if the men’s can have 5 urinals and share the one toilet please fix that. Howtf is there only one toilet for women’s???

Yes, super cheap happy hour surprisingly on a Saturday(until 9 pm) with buy one get one free drinks, but who knows what they’re using because I felt like shit afterward. The bar is cash only. There’s an ATM toward the back, but obviously there’s the annoying $ 2 fee. I was definitely ignored for awhile as all the boys next to me were served first. The dance floor is tiny, and you have to constantly walk through the middle of it to get to the bathrooms if you’re in the seated area toward the front of the«club». Online it said Saturday nights are supposed to have 90s hip-hop and r&b but they were playing cheesy 80s rock and early 2000s top 40 instead. The only positive things I can say is the doormen were super nice and the crowd is attractive and friendly.

I’m probably too old to be here on any kind of regular basis, but 4 very strong drinks for 12 dollars in San Francisco is certainly not bad. 3 stars for the drinks — 1 star for the random selection of movies they have playing throughout the night!
