I needed an oil change. Shopped around and this shop only charges $ 29 versus everywhere else at $ 45+. I was greeted right away and given an estimate of a 30 – 40 minute wait as there were customers ahead of me. No problem… I just waited in their waiting room where there is a TV and water cooler.
I noticed they had replenished my windshield washer fluid because my alert on my dashboard no longer appeared. Maybe it is standard to top off the washer fluid and maybe not. Either way, I’m glad they did as it saved me a trip to O’Reilly’s.
Will be back for sure.

I love this neighborhood service. They are so reliable and down to earth. Its a pleasure to go there because of the staff and the quality of service. No fuss. No muss. They are so fair and considerate. I’ve come in with a couple repair needs they couldn’t do and they gave me referrals to GREAT places, that again, were no fuss… no muss. My experience has been fair prices, service done in a timely manner, and nice staff. I’ve been a fan for about five years.

They are the best at what they do. Been coming here since I had a 1996 Honda passport and that shit was not in the best condition, but they treated it like a jewel. I have a 2010 Honda and every time I have a problem they fix it. Only ones I trust with my baby.

Every time smog checks are due for our cars we bring them here. Wait time is usually 15 – 20 minutes, so you’re in and out of here pretty quickly. Big plus that the staff is friendly here.

Great, FAST, oil change. Great prices and they don’t tack on a bunch of sub fees. They can usually take you as soon as you pull up. Very, very convenient for all the Sunset heads out there.

I came here to bring my wife’s RAV4 for an oil change. Found out that I needed transmission service as well. It made sense since we had taken several road trips the past 18 months. I asked the status of the coolant levels and if it needed replacement or fluid. They returned back to say coolant levels were fine. Great service and left with the impression that I wasn’t forced to get other services like their competitor.

Dropped off my car for an oil change and smog. They were finished in less than 30 minutes and at a reasonable price. I will be coming back.

First time I came here to do my oil changing service and I was very impressed that they gave me an estimate of 10 minutes to change my oil! I guess because there was only another person in front of me, it didn’t take them too long to get it done. Within 15 minutes my oil got changed and paid around $ 68 for the synthetic oil. The only reason why I deduct a star is because they forgot to reset my oil meter on my car, so it said 10% left before changing oil and I had to stay another 15 minutes for the guy to figure out how to reset it. Other than that, they were professional and got things done without wasting your time.

Had my oil changed here a few times. Decent pricing they also do smog and are star certified. I wouldn’t expect too much from these techs other than the service that you requested. Look for coupons online for some savings.

This must have been the quickest Oil Change ever! At about 15 minutes you are in and out! At first, I was reluctant in coming here for the sake of the mixed reviews on Unilocal AND it was a Saturday afternoon. However, I’m glad I went! I was really impressed with how fast and efficient the mechanics were. In addition, it’s a great value!

People: WTF does race have to do with service? I came here late on a Sunday afternoon for a smog check. The entire thing, including payment of $ 48, took a total of 15 mins. I was also given the coupon price without asking. Great service!

I realized that I needed a smog check before paying for registration and since it was a Sunday, most auto shops were either closed or overpriced.
I went on Unilocal and looked for shops that were open and cost around $ 50 and lo-​and-​behold, this shop was less than a mile away from my house. I read a lot of the Unilocal reviews and was a bit skeptical since a lot of people were saying negative things, so I thought about whether I should go or not. I called in to see if they were able to accommodate me if I showed up in half an hour and when I got there I didn’t even have to wait at all! They told me it would be done in 15 min and it was quick!
My car passed and a day later, I was able to pay for registration and everything went smoothly.
The one thing I didn’t like about this place was the fact that the first question they ask you when you show up is whether or not you want an oil change or not. The oil they use here is Quaker State and that is one of the cheaper brands in stores. For over $ 50 for a synthetic oil change with that brand of oil, I rather do it myself.

Got my smog check here. Was quick and easy. Free retest on fail add well. The owner even waited for me to get there a few minutes after closing. Extremely nice and would recommend to anybody.

These guys are dicks. I went in to smog my van for the second time and they totally fucked me. The first time they smogged it they passed it and mentioned that it was missing the belt to the smog pump but said it passed anyway.
Two years later I went back and let them know that they passed it before without the belt and made it clear to them I knew it was missing and asked if it would be a problem. They said no.
Then when I came back in twenty minutes to see if it passed the same asshole said that it failed the visual inspection. He said it was missing the belt! What a dick. What a total fucking dick. Fuck these guys. A bunch of miserable Chinese hustlers.
I went a few years before to have all of my cooling lines replace in my Acura and they charged me three hundred bucks. Low and behold two hundred miles north in the summer one of the hardest to reach lines blew and sure as shit they failed to replace that one. It cost me 200 bucks to have it done at some gas station. Screwed again.
Go to the 76 station on like 25^th and Noriega and those guys are fair and nice and honest.

I could call this place «In-​n-​Out Car Service». (Okay, you can stop laughing.) In-​n-​Out Burger is fast, but also serves high-​quality burgers. Likewise, Quality Tune-​Up tends to be fast, but also treats your car right. I’ve been to their shops in Concord and Walnut Creek, and intend to go again. In this instance, I needed to get the family minivan smogged for the upcoming registration, the trick is to drive it a lot before taking it in for the check, we were on our way to Ocean Beach from our Concord home, so we went here first.
VERY bare-​bones. It looks cheap and run-​down. It’s on the Sunset’s main drag, which doubles as Highway 1, so I was nervous about how long the smog check would take. The mechanic said, «probably 25 minutes, maybe less.» We were gone with a van that passed less than 15 minutes and $ 45 later. I like that!
The place looks cheap and run-​down, but the operation is not. The limited business I had with the mechanic, and judging from the work I saw, tells me that it’s a good place. Its aesthetics could use work, it’s limited by its small footprint on a very busy street, and the only easy way to get in is from 19^th Ave heading north. But if you need to get in-​n-​out, and you don’t think there’s much wrong with the car, this is a good place to go.
