With no line and the most basic order ever(hot — and I even made sure to emphasize hot — milk tea with boba) I didn’t really expect to wait and receive warm milk tea with overcooked boba so terrible I ended up throwing my drink away. If you’re going to sell milk tea and people are giving you business at least make the EFFORT to get your main product that you’re selling right.

I ordered the Thai tea boba with soy and got it within minutes. Just enough ice and plenty of tapioca pearls. Definitely pleased that they have non dairy options. So much more on the menu board to try as well.

Boba is what I will continue to order at Quickly. I tried one of their shakes and I wasn’t feeling it. It was way to watery.

They need more help. I have seen the lady at the register ring an order and then go make the order because she has not help. Entirely unacceptable. Of this business is going to. thrive then they need to.hire. more people at this location, duh!!! I don’t know how they have managed as long as they have being short staffed. I have seen people get impatient because they have to wait so long to order. I don’t blame them. Get it together quickly of west portal.

I did not like the milk tea at this Quickly’s, BUT it was only 99 cents so can’t complain too much. The milk tea tastes very powdery. If you don’t mind that, then it’s not too bad for 99 cents. Their boba is ok, not super chewy, but not hard also. Their sesame slush actually tastes like black sesame, not bad if you like sesame flavor and slush drinks. The egg puffs here are a pretty decent size and tastes not bad as well, but they were not crispy and had a more soggy texture to it(could possibly be from the steam in the paper bag). The popcorn chicken was decent for $ 3.99. I’ve had better at other Quickly’s, but I’ve also had worse. It is fun eating with the skewers and can be addicting once you start eating. This location offers 99 cents black milk tea and iced coffee ONLY. If you want green milk tea, it’s $ 1.99. Boba and jellies are extra.

What?! Just had a disgusting experience here! No wonder this Quickly is empty! Beware of this place! If you order a drink that’s horribly made Quickly won’t make you a CORRECT one in exchange! Sasa, could’ve made it right &TRY to make my drink edible. SOMETHING! Geez people! Quickly folks would rather get bad press then to TRY to CORRECT the PROBLEM. My mom’s drink tasted disgusting. She ordered a Mango drink w/boba. It looked brown, like coffee?! So we questioned it because the drink didn’t even look like what we ordered. No Mango taste whatsoever. What a GYP!

One of the better quickly’s and cleanest location I’ve been to so far! This location has more variety for food and accepts credit cards with no minimums which is always a plus. Only issue is that the pearls were soft and not that chewy): but maybe it was just an off day for pearls today

Mmmm, popcorn chicken. I freakin’ love their popcorn chicken. It’s not crispy at all. It’s actually oily and juicy. Which is what I prefer. I don’t like the breadding part. I know right? Sue me!!! The drinks are okay though. They’re not fragrant or fresh. I don’t think that’s what Quickly’s is aiming for. so if they want to fill the niche of cheap fake tasting milk tea drinks. then they got it perfectly. Sometimes, that’s all I’m craving, you know what I mean? But in all honesty, I prefer quality over this. uhh. cheaper stuff. The egg pudding topping I added on to my drink wasn’t that good. It was actually not sweet at all. Kinda bland! I’d pass on that, and get no toppings in my drink next time. All in all, it’s okay. I should just keep getting my staples: popcorn chicken and milk tea no toppings! I have such a great diet… hehe

Decent boba. I always get the milk coconut tea with tapioca and it’s pretty tasty. I usually go to the Quickly on West Portal and… the one on West Portal is better. But to be honest, they’re both not the greatest boba.

caution!!! they told me all the milk they use are soy milk only.(non organic) as you know that means it’s gmo. also soy is one of the biggest allergy causing ingredients. how come they don’t inform customers? awful!

I received a very rude follow-up from the owner — email copied below. Basically called me a liar stating my experience as completely untrue. My review remains the same and my opinions and observations have not suddenly changed just because you called me a liar. Additionally the email from the owner was sent to me from Unilocal profile«Tiger L.»… and surprise this profile also reviewed this business and gave it glowing reviews. Email from owner: Sorry for any bad experience for your visit to my restaurant. However, I found you review totally UNTRUE! First of all, our taro milk tea and any teas are never water down as you described, our drinks are made with quality produces and with precision. Secondly my restaurant is kept very clean, there is never any empty cups dump dear my door way, the cigarette buts are mostly from the bar next door, that is out of my control, morning shift always swept the front door area. I have very good camera system, what you saw of using the same spoon etc. is probably a mis-understanding. All of my staff is well trained, they understand what is appropriate and what is not! I take all of the review seriously, however, it’s not fair if you or anyone post negative comments about my restaurant with untrue comments and reviews. Since we open, we have thousands of good comments and loyal customers liking our existence in the West Portal Neighborhood. I will await your response.

The 99 cent milk tea, green tea and ice coffee are the biggest and best reasons to come to this location for me. Even though I’m a student at SFSU, which has a quickly’s, saving whole 50% /$ 1 on these drinks is a big draw. I’m not normal a huge fan of Quickly in general, there are some significantly better and independently run boba places in the city I’d rather hit up given the chance/time, but this location is conveniently close-by and has the added bonuses of having Kobe Bento if you’re hungry, plus the staff always seems pretty nice. The main reason for my Unilocal shout out in support of this place comes from an apparent move by some people in the neighborhood to try and get this branch to shut down… and for what good reason? It doesn’t fit in with the neighborhood? Sounds to me more like a bias against a place that is geared more towards students, younger people, and Asian residents, and not so much the bourgeoisie upper-mid/mid class adults and families and white set that a fair bit of the businesses here cater to. Just sayin’. Keep this place.

I feel like their food is more fresh than the other Quicklys but also more expensive because of the location. Overall, I’m always satisfied with the food but they do take a bit longer to make it. Just be careful what time of day you are planning to come by. There’s a lot of screaming, sh*t talking elementary and middle school kids hanging around there lol.

Tapioca will make you so strong. I am of the firm belief that a tiger milk tea with tapioca is the secret to my drinking success. With Quickly down the street from my favorite spot, I am never to fear a hangover again. You’re always there for me, Quickly. With your milk tea, and your fried all-the-things just when I need them. Bottom Line: Try it, I’m serious. That tapioca theory is super scientific. Really.

There was some time to kill before our Star Trek showtime so our little party decided to walk around West Portal and grab a drink. The bar was packed and there was nowhere to sit so we walked next store to Quickly instead. I ordered their tiger tea with small boba and we shared a coconut eggette. The drink itself was pretty good but I regret the small boba since they were like mush and difficult to enjoy. The eggette was pretty good and the flavor was very subtle. Overall, not too shabby. Unfortunately the theater wouldn’t let me bring my unfinished drink into the theater so I had to abandon it, but I did enjoy it while it lasted. Prices aren’t the cheapest around, at least compared to places like Tea Way, but not too bad either. Service was spotty but fairly quick, but the boba quality wasn’t great. If I’m in the area again, I’ll probably come back, but I wouldn’t go far out of my way. Food: 7⁄10 Service: 6⁄10 Price: $ Atmosphere: 6⁄10

Quickly — Kobe Bento Milk Tea shop on West Portal Ave? Props for that! I was hungry so I came and ordered cheese sticks. Spacious milk tea shop, so I am definitely coming here the next time I am in this area. Friendly staff and efficient service so this is always a good thing. They still have the cups labeled Tuttimelon on it. I thought to myself, that’s interesting. I suppose they came to a decision where they have Quickly — Kobe Bento and Tuttimelon in one place. The concept here is one store and products for three names in the milk tea business. Mostly street parking with metered spots as well. This shop is very close to West Portal Muni Metro Station. A terminal for the 17 and 48 are also near by making public transportation a very convenient option. Brief update for 7÷10÷2013: The entire facility still is very clean so that’s always a good thing. I came to satisfy my milk tea cravings. This spot is a hit when you’re craving for a milk tea. My order was ready in 5 minutes. That’s efficient service here!

West Portal has its first Quickly location. The new spot peddles bento bowls for $ 4.25, egg puffs, gelato, fried snacks for $ 2.99 and over 100 kinds of drinks(milk tea, slush/icy, snow, smoothies, milkshakes, flavored tea, yogurt drinks). It takes awhile to read through the menu. This is the former Tuttimelon location and I was told that they still serve Tuttimelon gelato(the flavor signs have the Tuttimelon logo). A few Tuttimelon posters are still posted inside. The smoothies are made with Dreyer’s Yogurt though. * Soya pork rice bento($ 4.25): I normally get popcorn chicken but thought I would try something different. Soya pork is their version of Taiwanese minced pork. It’s tiny bits of pork in a salty soy flavored sauce/gravy and lots of steamed white rice. The rice was too wet and mushy and the sauce a bit too salty. I wish they had some pickles or something to break up the monotony. I should have gotten popcorn chicken. * Jasmine milk green tea($ 1.99 grand opening special, pearls extra): The pearls were pretty good — fresh, chewy, sweetened. The tea was good: creamy, on the sweet side but it did have tea flavor and they didn’t add too much ice. The service was surprisingly quick and friendly for a Quickly. It’s cash only for now but they plan to accept credit cards soon. Free wi-fi.

This place just opened recently and they’re definitely still working on things so don’t immediately brush them off if anything. This place used to be where the old Tuttimelon is but I can assure you — new management. Also, pretty new layout so there was definitely some remodeling done. What I like about this place is that the menu is very straight forward and the seating is plentiful. You got the usual boba drinks. Snacks. But of course, you still have the gelato that TM used to carry. Not as many flavors but the quality gelato is still there! It hasn’t disappeared!(PS. One of my favorite girls in the world works here and she’s such a sweetheart so that helps(;) Give it some time and I think this place will be up to par with some of the better Quickly’s in SF. Especially since each Quickly is individually owned. If that matters for anything!

What?! A Quickly on West Portal?! When did this happen. Oh wait, only overnight. This place was a Tuttimelon that was«under construction» for a few months only to reopen as a Quickly. Deception I tell you! There’s already a Quickly on Ocean Ave. that I don’t like because of their subpar drinks and slow service. I’m willing to give this one a chance though. Quickly is basically your run of the mill Asian tapioca shop where you can get all types of drinks, including milk tea, slushes, juice, coffee drinks, and snows(which kind of have an ICEE texture, but with cream). They also sell snacks like popcorn chicken, which is quite yummy. I took advantage of their 99 cent iced milk tea«grand opening special» — which will probably last the entire year, if not forever. Not bad! Good flavor and the boba was nice and chewy. Might I add, if you want boba it’s an extra 50 cents, so the drink is really $ 1.50(unlike Teaway Express on Irving, which includes the boba for something like $ 1.10). I’m still not sure how I feel about Quickly on WP because the company doesn’t really fit the neighborhood, but I’m not complaining because any boba place that finds its way closer to my house is welcome. Definitely has a niche and they’re open late. Oh and they still sell Tuttimelon gelato(and buy it from the same company that Tuttimelon got theirs from), which is kind of weird, but whatever, I like choices. Pretty standard everything — all Quickly’s look and feel the same. Clean, somewhat modern, and very orange. Service was fine. Definitely better than the Quickly on Ocean. I’ll be back to try some more of their stuff out! Cash only!
