Nice, sophisticated and relaxing atmosphere with a well edited collection of wines. Space has ample seating and good sound proofing to afford good conversation amongst friends/couples. Well located in lower nob hill! Highly recommend!

Fantastic wine list, beautiful décor, warm & generous owners! We had the Sancerre & Syrah… Both were delicious. New favorite downtown wine bar!

I really loved Resolute– the space, layout, color scheme, style, and menu were all fantastic. We went on a Sunday afternoon and they had a Happy Hour menu still! I was pleasantly surprised as I expected HH to only take place on weekdays, but seems like they run HH daily before 7PM. I tried a Rose, a Bordeaux and my gf went for some Whites. We split a cheese plate — everything was delicious. The wines were all beautiful and lovely and priced very reasonably for HH($ 7−8/glass). Would be happy to pay a bit more without the HH price tag as well — the wines were wonderful. The service was top notch as they came to check on us frequently, even when the place got busier. I would highly recommend Resolute to friends getting together/a date/a work outing, etc. Perfect for any occasion!

Located on Geary street in the Tenderloin district, Resolute is a new swanky and polished wine and beer lounge. I love how upscale the interior feels. Although I’m not a big wine or beer drinker, I noticed how low their pricing is relative to other lounges. I did try a non-alcoholic beverage which was refreshing and delish. There is a L-shaped white marble countertop bar as well as sofa lounge seating along two walls for ample seating options. Happy Hour is 7 Days a week and runs from 4pm to 7pm. Beers are $ 5 to 6 and wines are $ 7 to 8, which sound like a great deal. What I also love about Resolute is they’re next door to Rye so you can satisfy your cocktail craving with a short walk next door. Service was attentive and friendly. I would definitely stop through again or arrange another gathering here in the near future.

Cease and desist. All your activities and head over for happy hour at Resolute. From 4pm — 7pm EVERY day, they have $ 5-$ 6 beers, $ 9 beer flight and $ 7-$ 8 wines. It maybe hard to believe, but that’s a 3 hour window for you to head over here and ease yourself into relaxation after a hard day at the office or to kickstart your weekend. We just missed HH because of dinner at Anh Hong nearby, so we had some catching up to do! ;-) I kept it to a glass of Brut Rose($ 11) from Zuccolo, Friuli-Venezia region. I love the delicate bubbles of this Pinot Noir/Chard mix. The boys had fun with their beer flight(3 kinds: Whippersnapper, Rosemary’s Baby and Triple Vodoo Mocha Shake) I’m not much into craftbeers or beers in general, but the Mocha Shake tasted like fresh roasted coffee with deep chocolate notes. What girl wouldn’t like that? I love the upscale, modern look of the lounge. With ample booth seating for big groups or a communal table near the center of the room. The staff is friendly and willing to lend a helping hand in choosing the right wine/beer for your experience. Perfect as a pit stop before heading to Rye for much stronger drinks next door.

This wine bar is relatively spacious, almost like a wine tasting room. It is fancier and nicer than many nearby drinking spots. It is a place to chill and not to party. As a result, it is quieter and you can have conversations at normal volume. With all that space there are plenty of seating. Either at the many stools around a bar setting, or at sofas with ottomans. It’s a nice place to stop in before, or even after, dinner. The price points were a nice as well, with a lower cost per drink than at many places in the area. I’ve only tried a beer but ElenaN liked her wine choices. We need to try more items for me to round out this review.

Great décor and ambiance. Wine connoisseur staff and good charcuterie a/chews plates. Great lounge place to chill after work. Only bad thing is they only have beer and wine. But definitely work it. I love reds and they have a great Ganache and Bordeaux mixes And they have. Great hard liquor and music spot next door if you need more leisure outing.

Came across town to this wine bar specifically because it was open until 2, arrived at 1 and they informed us that they were closing early. Super disappointed as the advertised hours are open until 2… Maybe closing time should be «whenever we feel like closing.»

I imbibed one of the most exquisite glasses of Pinot Noir in my life at Resolute. I love this new place in my neighborhood! Great date spot, retail wine shop, norcal beers on tap, friendly and helpful staff. The space is cool and comfortable. I keep coming back. Also, charcuterie and cheese is on point!

Resolute is the perfect name for a wine bar that does one thing and does it right. Sit, sip and relax. That’s all I came looking for and that’s exactly what they offer. I popped in with some friends on a Tuesday night for a casual drink and some catch up. Not being much of a wino myself, I really wasn’t interested in anything beyond sitting on their comfy wall-length couches and socializing. But once I discovered their beer selection, I was instantly a fan. The sour they had on tap was one of the better sour beers I’ve tasted and the bartenders who served it were laid-back yet very attentive. I even tried a friends wine and thought it was exquisite. Whoever is behind the concept and menu here, keep up the good work.

Our friends had their engagement party here and it was awesome. It’s a small enough space to fit a bunch of people in but still make it feel intimate. The various wines they served were great and the meats and cheeses were extraordinary. I’m definitely going to come back on a date night, when I’m in the mood for great food and wine or even for a dinner.

This is one of my favorite wine bars to visit while I am in town. The atmosphere is absolutely wonderful and the locals who frequently visit are delightful to talk to. I normally pay a visit after I run my errands in town. The owners of Resolute are normally behind the counter and greet you with a friendly smile as you walk in. Also, the wine list does not disappoint! The wine list caters to those who are either discovering wine or have a distinguished palate. I normally recommend Resolute to friends who are visiting San Francisco or to those in town for business. The quaint atmosphere is perfect for any occasion. Wonderful new addition to the neighborhood!

Tried this place out on a Friday and it was lovely. The space was a bit smaller than expected but the décor is really beautiful. I got the sparking wine flight, and while I did not like the last glass — the staff was so great they replaced it with an additional(on the house) glass to make up for it. When I was halfway through that one, they even topped it off for me so I wouldn’t have any hard feelings. So needless to say, the staff here is amazing and truly care about service. I’ll definitely be back!

Came with my husband right before we had to take off for the airport to go home. We made it in time for happy hour, and there was not another soul in the joint. Venue atmosphere is trendy and classy; I really like it. We parked on a couch by the window. Husband ordered a Belgian; I had a session IPA. We then shared a Tempranillo. We also ordered a cheese plate. Staff was friendly. If I lived remotely nearby, I’d hit this place up again for sure.

My friends and I found this little gem along Geary thanks to Unilocal, and decided to head there because it offered Happy Hour on Saturday(rather rare in San Francisco). The wines were reasonably priced(~7/8 dollars)! I decided on a Brut Rose, a sparkling wine that was fruity and dry. Although there were cheese plates offered for happy hour(8 dollars per plate), we decided to order a selection of 3. You get to pick 3 cheeses /meats for $ 24, which is essentially happy hour price anyway! We got the prosciutto, three cream Brie and the manchego. The server got our order wrong and gave us the buzzed cheddar instead of the prosciutto, but that ended up being a great thing for us because we found we liked the cheddar the most. In addition, they offered us a small serving of prosciutto upon learning that they served us the wrong thing, so thumbs up for that. Great food, but docked a star because it took us ages to wave our server over, especially when we wanted to tell him about the wrong order. There was also no AC and little ventilation, so it got a little stuffy when we arrived around 5.

Hands down awesome bar. Happy hour 4−7pm everyday. An amazing international selection of wine and 8 beers on tap(from what I saw, I’m not a beer drinker). Beautiful setting and really nice bar tenders who were also very knowledgable. Their wine flights are particularly good and really enjoyed the Tempranillo from Spain. You can also buy bottles to go at extremely reasonable pricing. They also have a great charcuterie platter and fine cheese selection. Definitely one of my new staples to go to in SF!

I get thirsty often. So when I was craving a drink after work, I met up with Peter L on Friday, July 31st around 6pm. We made it in time for the Happy hour menu(from 4−7pm). HH specials included 3 beer selections($ 5-$ 6ea) and a beer flight($ 9). Peter got the Saison: «jasmine rice session saison» berryessa brew co, winters, ca — 4.0% abv($ 5 for 14oz). HH also offered 4 wine selections($ 7-$ 8ea). I started with a bubbly, the Prosecco(sparkling), extra dry, docg, treviso, veneto, italy, bele casel non-vintage($ 8 glass). After that I wanted to change it up, so I got the Montepulciano d’abruzzo(red #1): abruzzo(Adriatic coast) Italy Tenuta deangelis 2011($ 7 glass). Both wines were excellent and satisfied my thirst. For food, the HH menu had bowls of Marcona almonds($ 6), Greek olives($ 5) and two cheeses: Manchego, Semi-firm goat($ 8ea). I wasn’t craving anything from that section, so we just skipped the snacks. The lounge was about 1⁄3 full for a Friday night. I liked it as the vibe was very chill. The only thing that grossed me out was a handful of flies were circling in the middle of the front area. I almost walked into them coming back from the restroom. I’m scared of flies so that took away from my experience here. Other than that, Resolute is a cute place to grab a beer or a glass of wine.

Curiously located between Geary and Leavensworth, Resolute shines among the nearby establishments. I originally planned to get happy hour at Redford but was turned off by the lack of service, a quick look around and I see the beautifully decorated Resolute. The place is subtly lite by circular halo rings with nicely accented by marble counters and very nicely made double pane wood trims. Upon descending into this pristine establishment, I was immediately greeted by a bartender and seated. It was a Monday evening, the place was fairly full but by no means over-crowded. Beer Flight — I order the beer flight which was much better than I expected, with the Saison beer being my favorite, very crisp tones, slightly sweet tones, the experience felt more like i’m sampling artisan craft beers. Truffle Brie & Truffle Salami Platter — This was just a very well put together platter, everything went well, the truffle brie was soft and had nice hints of truffle, the salami honestly just tasted like salami but it was still great. But I believe you almost cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Wine — I did get to taste one of their reds which was pretty good, however I’ll also admit that wines are not my forte and I would not be able to differentiate a «good wine» from a «bad wine». My overall experience at resolute was very positive, the atmosphere is perfect to relax after a day at work, catch up with a friend, or just to try something new. And yes, they do offer Happy Hour(ends at 7PM) :)

Feast your eyes upon Resolute’s sumptuous Gentian blue + gold interior, then wash it down with some truly artisan wines/beer/cider. It’s a lovely place to imbibe, catch up with an old friend, charm a new friend, and feel hidden away from the sceney spots downtown. Props for knowing how to pick great wines AND great décor! This place is a glittering diamond in the Tenderloin rough. Since they serve small production boutique wines from«the little guys» the prices can get up there. But, they have happy hour everyday 4−7pm, along with Industry Night Mondays and Winemaker Wednesdays. Add cheese plates, meat plates, and a big retail selection… you’ve got a one-stop-shop wine wonderland. We were served by the owner/sommelier himself and he was friendly and helpful in explaining all of his cherished wine selections. I should note they use some pretty fancy sommelier-style glasses here. Definitely meant for sipping & swirling vs. slamming back. Copious bar & lounge seats make Resolute a super inviting spot for all your classy drinking needs. Open til midnight on workdays, 2am on Fri-Sat!
