Robb & Messer Moving and Storage

Robb and Messer moved me from northern to southern California and I couldn’t have had a better experience! Kyle Messer was supportive and dependable throughout the entire process. He was efficient and handled everything with care. I can’t praise them highly enough!

Hired Rob and his Crew back in July of 2015. I can’t say enough good things about these guys. Hard working, dependable and very reasonable. They were super quick and efficient. I would easily rehire these guys anytime. Awesome.

We have had 2 fantastic experiences using Robb and Messer moving — both while I was pregnant. They handled EVERYTHING from packing to moving to storage. They handled all our belongings with care and kept a detailed inventory that was reviewed before and after storing. When we were ready to move into our new place, they got all of our belongings out of their storage unit and moved them into our house. Our move dates were confirmed early and they always showed up on time– very reliable. Moving is never fun (especially 9 months pregnant!), but Robb and Messer moving made it as easy as possible!

I cannot say enough good things about Robb & Messer moving. From start to finish they were beyond professional and so organized. It was the easiest move we have ever done because they were that good. All of our friends that were over could not believe how wonderful they are. I don’t want to have to move again for a very long time but when I do I will call Dave and Kyle. Thank you guys!!!

I recently moved for the 5^th time (yes, FIVE times) in the past 7 years. so, you could say that i’m a relative expert in moving companies, at least from the consumer standpoint. i’ve used at least 4 different companies and spoken to twice that number over the phone for quotes, etc. Robb & Messer has been the most incredible surprise discovery. they are all the things that i’ve come not to expect from moving companies because they deliver: professionalism, expertise, accurate quotes, detailed bookkeeping and tracking of inventory, friendly, conscientious workers who are treated like employees and not itinerant type of laborers. i used their packing and moving services and also the unpacking services and it was money SO well spent in terms of my reduced stress, safety and peace of mind. i’d love it if they had a «task rabbit» type of service in the months following a move because i’d rather use them for help with additional deliveries, furniture assembly and other related tasks… anyway, it is with no hesitation that i recommend Robb & Messer. Get MOVING! ;-)

Prompt, courteous, professional service. Took great care in picking up and loading items into their truck. Job was done in an hour. The 4 stars is due to the misleading quote of $ 60 per hour when it actuality it was $ 60 per hour per man mover. There were 2 chaps so it equaled $ 120 per hour. Make certain this is clarified from the get go as it was not in any communication or adverts.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Robb & Messer for your next move. They were very accommodating to our schedule. I actually helped Dave move us and he was very courteous and organized. He put the furniture together and no furniture was too difficult for him. We have referred them to many of our friends and they have all been very satisfied and have in turn referred them to their friends. Do yourself a favor and leave the moving to these professionals.

This was the best moving experience I’ve ever had. Seamless execution from start to finish. Dave was very thorough when when doing the walk through and promptly sending the estimate that evening. He explained everything step by step and called/​text back answering all my questions. The movers arrived on-​time, put down protective floor covering, wrapped all of our furniture with quilts to ensure nothing would be damaged, and worked efficiently. They did everything I asked them to do without hesitation. Thank you to Robb & Messer Moving for making what can be a frustrating day very stress free.

My fiancé and I recently moved cross town in SF and we chose to work with Robb and Messer Moving. They did a fantastic job. Dave ran a lot of the coordination for us and was very professional. He came in advance to give us and estimate and discuss the moving day in detail. Day of I was around but really didn’t need to be at all, they were super professional and very efficient. I would HIGHLY recommend!

Decided to hire movers for the first time — we were only moving a few blocks, but lived on the third floor and didn’t have a vehicle that would accommodate all of our stuff. We booked with Robb & Messer based on the Unilocal reviews (Dave called me back within a few minutes of sending in our request) and were not disappointed! Dave was super nice and thorough — he came by to assess how much stuff we had a few days before the move, gave us a quote that seemed fair, and dropped off boxes. They arrived literally on time by the exact minute, and were done pretty close to the time frame they had estimated. Super fast, efficient, and made the whole process easier than I ever thought moving could be.

Just hired Robb & Messer to help us move from the Castro to a new place only one mile away. The guys were hard-​working and great, and they really made our move as smooth as possible. We’d 100% recommend them to anyone else in the Bay Area, and we will definitely use them again for any future moves.

This was the BEST moving experience I’ve EVER had. This company is professional, honest and pretty much amazing. They quoted us honestly on the cost and it was worth every cent. We weren’t totally packed and they were able to help us finish up the packing quickly while being mindful of our valuables and taking extra precautions to keep our things safe. We ran into an issue of getting our key to our new apartment and they were super patient and understanding. They also went to extra lengths moving fast so we wouldn’t have to pay for the waiting time. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone wanting an honest, helpful and hard working moving help. They were all fantastic! We will use them again in the future!

These guys were really great. I have lived in SF all my life which typically means moving a lot, so while this was my first move using Robb & Messer, it was probably my 10−12^th move total. They handled everything as we wanted to try for least stress, so they put everything away, were hard working, safe, smart about where everything went, and were constantly working. This was a great hire and while I hope to never move again, I would for sure be using these guys. The moving business can be a tough business; I have had all kinds so this was pretty unique.

We had the best service we could ever had imagined. My husband and I were so happy we hired this company to move us. Honest, dependable, great communication, hard working, careful, and reasonable priced. Today it is very hard to find customer service at this level. Dave called me back, followed up quickly on our moving quote and did everything he said he would. He has the best attitude– what a joy. I have recommended this moving company to other and would use them again in a New York minute. I plan to use the company again when I move some items to Southern California. Hire this moving company and you will be very happy and pleased.

I’ve used David Robb for 2 separate moves and both were flawless! Dave is super kind, professional, knowledgeable, and a perfectionist when it comes to moving safely and efficiently. He is a workhorse too and will do what it takes to get the job done. Highly recommend him!

We’ve used Robb & Messer 3 times now. Twice for our residential moves and once for our business move. Each time they surpassed our expectations. They are prompt, efficient and very professional, which is so important when you are trusting someone with all of your personal belongings. Dave and Kyle are genuine and honest. Dave and Kyle did an amazing job helping us move! They moved us from Petaluma to Windsor. My husband and I trusted our entire home in their hands, everything worked out perfectly. We highly recommend them!

We moved from the marina down the street and had a TON of stuff! We were worried it might have been too much but these guys made it happen and were super efficient. It was a super stressful process because moving always is, but they alleviated all of this and needed little direction.
Overall, great attitude and incredibly hard workers. Would recommend to anyone and love that I was helping a hard working entrepreneur!

I hate moving– the packing, the mess, and the time it takes to get all the boxes into the truck, double park, and unload as fast as you can while other cars are blaring their horns.
I decided to hire movers for the first time and it was a damn good decision! Dave came over to assess what would be needed for the move and gave me options as to how much work I wanted to put on him– he can do the actual packing! I decided to do my own packing (it would be a good time to go through all my stuff and toss the junk anyway).
The whole move took LESS than an hour! They loaded the truck with all the boxes, protected all my furniture in that special wrap and unloaded it at my new place in (again) LESS THAN AN HOUR! Hats off to R&M for such professional work, I am definitely using them again for all of my future moves!
