I highly recommend this place. This place has so many different kinds of herbs for different health needs. There are healthy ingredients for making soups; there are herbal supplements to help with variety of health concerns such as sleep problems, blood pressure, blood suger, and cholesteral issues, prostate problems, weak heart functioning, weak blood circulation, cold and cough herbal medicines, feminine health concerns, itchy skin and eczema ointment, bone strains, and sprain ointment and patches, etc… Another amazing thing about this herbal store is the Herbalist Lau. With his three fingers reading your pulses, checking on your tongue, he will be able to tell you right away your health condition. AMAZING! He has been helping many customers with their health issues such as overall low energy, imbalanced hormones, arthritis, sleep problems, urinary track problems, infertity problems… He has been helping many many couples who have fertity problems, successfuly have babies. Speaking of my own experience: I have been married for five years and experienced infertity problems. We were trying to conceive for five years, and still was not successfully. We were devastating, and luckily refered by our friend to visit this herbalist lau. When we first visited Herbalist Lau, we were skeptical, and did not think that the bags of herbs would help anyway, but we had no other choices. Our attitude was like «will see». After keep seeing Herbalist Lau regularly and drinking the herbs per instruction for about 3 months, I was surprisely pregnant for the first time. We were thrilled! In the beginning, I was having some difficulty of pregnancy. I continued to visit Herbalist Lau until my baby was almost born.
Now my baby is about two months old, he is so adorable, so cute. Looking at him, we are so grateful of Herbalist Lau’s expertise and ongoing encouragement of taking the herbs. With that being said, I am continuing to visit Herbalist Lau for replenishing my energy and health back after giving birth.
In addition to what this store provides, and how experienced Herbalist Lau is, the staff is also very pleasant, very knowledgable. They are just down to earth; providing you with the outstanding service, yet very humble. Again, I highly recommend this place to anybody who is seeking for alternative herbal support.

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Lau for many years, back when he had a clinic in Fremont. It’s hard to find an experience herbal doctor in the bay area nowadays. Even if we have to travel from the east bay to see him, it’s still worth it. I think his pricing is reasonable, plus you are really just paying for the herbs plus the $ 10 clinic fee.

There are a few times in life where you are so grateful that a late night review is warranted. This place to buy Chinese herbal medicine or ask advice for medical/​health is great. As the other reviewer mentioned you’ll want to speak in Chinese for optimal treatment especially since communication in health matters is very crucial to proper treatment.
Particularly I had dropped by with my parents to purchase burn ointment. Apparently it was miracle burn ointment that would help to offer relief to my throbbing affected hand. My Dad & the owner recommended we buy this over aloe gel. My Dad works in the restaurant business and has only used this. It worked in just about 15 minutes and the next day or two yielded great results after a few more applications– all back to normal. Apparently Amazon sells it too (
) but if you’re in the area and need a tube of this or any other non-​Western medical advice asap, this is a solid option.
Again, glad this shop was here so conveniently. Will be back as needed to maintain good health. Beware San Bruno Ave is fairly busy with street parking your only option unless you live within walking distance. ;)

I recommend this place. I have some damaged tissue in my knee, and going here definitely helped coupled with physical therapy. Be sure to go on Saturdays though, that is the only day that his daughter is there to translate.
This guy has been practicing for over 50 years & he is definitely experienced in this field; the 50 baby photos in his office whose birth are attributed to him is evidence alone of the success of his practice.
