San Francisco Veterans Affairs Canteen Store

I know people have written reviews about the cafeteria and the coffee cart, but the Canteen Store is one of the best features in the VA.
The Canteen Store has a lot of nice merchandise at a discounted price (and all of it is tax-​free!), and don’t worry anyone can shop there, not just Vets. They have a lot of different types of things, from ipods to over the counter meds, school notebooks, candy, clothes, flat panel televisions and perfume. It’s not a terribly big store, and you never know what they are going to currently have for sale. However, they do have a catolog that does list a variety of electronics and other items that you can order if they are not currently available in-​store.
This is one of the best places to shop for gifts. The only down fall is that sometimes the employees are rude and don’t always seem to know a lot about where to find things. If you are in the neighborhood, definitely check this place out.
