The stylist and owner has been in business for 28 years! Wow! And I guess I was just unlucky. I went in with a graduate bob that grew out and I wanted to go in for layer cut so my hair can grow out as layers as the style grows out.(I’ve done this before a little style change.) anyway so results is my layers are so ugly and uneven when compared the two sides :(how I didn’t point this mistake out before I left? Because she had me off the chair while my hair was still wet from the water she sprayed to help her cut. I went in to ask for an haircut without a wash(not like she offered either) BUT how can you let your client leave with towel wet hair? I don’t care if you don’t style it for me but at least dry it back for me as I came in with dry clean hair! I was confused and thought oh she’s a sweet well experience lady and I live close by so no worries I just rush home and blow dry it myself. That’s when I notice the uneven hair and jagged layers… :(I thought about going back and demand her to fix it for free… Then I told myself I shouldn’t risk it again. Cause she might be able to even out the sides but cause more bad layers again. So I’m just gonna fix the sides myself and wait for it to grow it out again… I settled for less and this was the result. It was conveniently two blocks away from home.

moved to the city a month ago and thought hey i’ll try this place… WOW! Sandra is really a nice individual. She spent the extra time to get my hair just right and when I went to pay with my card she politely responded, ‘I apologize, we only take cash’. I didn’t know what to do and asked where the closest chase was. She said two blocks and I asked ‘should I leave my Id here so you know I’ll be back. She replied ‘no, I trust you’. It’s great to find good people and great quality cuts still exist:)

Sandra is great. She knows exactly what will look good and more importantly what will not look good.

Today was my first time at this salon, and Sandra was amazing!!! She gave me the best haircut I’ve had in years and even let me peek inside a Burmese book. She will definitely be my hair sylist in the future:)

Sandra is nothing short of amazing. Because of the first review on here which raved so much, I had to check it out. She fit me right into her schedule(I called at 3 and was in at 3:30 on a Saturday) for a cut, color and style. She got the color EXACTLY like I wanted it, without much help from me. The cut is perfect, and the company was fabulous. She’s happy to talk to you, but won’t talk your ear off if you don’t want her to. Oh, and the best part aside from my new amazing ‘do? It was only $ 80 total. When I handed her $ 100 she tried to give me money back, and was shocked that I tipped her. Only side note is that she only takes cash, no cards — so just a heads up. Long story short — GO. NOW.

Why does a 20-something go to a neighborhood hair salon frequented mostly by elderly ladies coming in for their weekly dye touch-ups and perms? Because Sandra knows how to cut hair. She knows how to give suggestions for what cut suits your hair type/face shape. She also knows how to give you exactly what you ask for. She doesn’t get offended if you tell her you want it shorter/thinner/straighter. She is so nice and super efficient, and people always compliment my hair. I’ve been getting my hair cut here for over 2 years and I don’t let anyone else do it. Plus, I only pay $ 14!
