Have to echo the other reviews. I saw Dr Santiesteban for six months and at every step of the way, I was amazed by the abject lack of professionalism from his front office staff. Dr Santiesteban himself wasn’t bad, but the overall experience was so unpleasant that I switched to another practice and haven’t looked back. For every aspect, from getting an appointment to insurance mixups to lack of responses for non-urgent questions for the doctor regarding medications, test results, etc., this office is a nightmare. Simply awful.

This office is simply awful. Until recently my primary care physician was Dr. Herbert Goodman. Dr. Goodman recently closed his office and transferred his patients to the medical office that includes Dr. Santiesteban. Today(6÷8÷11) I had a 3:30p appointment which had been booked about two months in advance, and was confirmed by their receptionist yesterday. I arrived about 10 minutes early for the appointment to fill out new patient paperwork, etc. I fill it out, receptionist asks me to take a seat, etc. All fine at this point. The receptionist is busy calling Orlando area hotels and finding out how far they are from Disney World and whether there’s a shuttle. At 3:45p I’m still sitting in the waiting room. So I ask the receptionist whether the doctor will be available to see me shortly, given that I had a 3:30p appointment. She assures me that he will be with me shortly. More time passes. At 3:55p I repeat the question, and she repeats her assurances. Finally, at 4p the nurse comes out to call me back. At this point I’m thinking ‘ok, annoying, but things happen’. The nurse(about whom I have nothing bad to say) escorts me to an exam room and takes my weight and blood pressure. She informs me that the doctor is running late, While the nurse takes my blood pressure at 4:05p she informs me that the doctor is just starting with his 3:00p appointment. My blood pressure, quite understandably, goes up. I ask her if I should go refill my parking meter — she advises me to do so, as it’s likely to be a while. After returning from refilling the meter, I sit down in the exam room again and wait. And wait. At 4:30p on the dot, an hour after my appointment time, I still have not seen hide nor hair of the doctor. I have had enough. I walk back to the reception area, inform the receptionist that I’d like to have my charts released to me, and let her know that I don’t expect to be charged for this appointment given that the doctor hadn’t shown up after an hour. She tells me that the doctor is running very far behind, and is mildly apologetic. I tell her that this information would have been more useful 45 minutes prior, at which point we could have re-scheduled or cancelled the appointment without wasting an hour of my time. She then backtracks and states that«maybe I’m not the best person to tell you the doctor’s availability». I tell her that I find that statement confusing and that I don’t appreciate being lied to — she either knew the doctor was running late and didn’t tell me, or she didn’t know and told me what she thought I wanted to hear. At this point she tells me that I’m being ‘testy’. I tell her that I don’t appreciate having my time wasted. She then starts screaming at me, asks me ‘who died and made you god?’, calls me a jerk, expresses astonishment that I’m married and sympathy for my wife who has to put up with me. She then tells me I should go dig up Dr. Goodman because I’m never going to find a doctor who is that accommodating(Dr. Goodman isn’t dead, just retired), and proceeds to rant in an increasingly incoherent fashion. She continues her tirade for another minute, and then starts muttering half-audibly to herself. She then tells me ‘Good Riddance’ and storms off into the back office. So I walk out. I have never had quite this experience in a doctor’s office. It is so stunningly unprofessional I don’t even know what to say. Other than I’m never going back to that office, and I’d recommend you don’t go either.
