St. James Elementary School

Lo mas importante es que mi hija esta feliz, conbinado una buena educacion y valores religiosos y morales, St. James, es una escuela donde los padres, que nos preocupa el desempenio en esa ares de nuestros hijos, podemos estar seguros de encontrar. Con un ambiente sano, alegre y de companierismo, st. James es una gran escuela, y ademas encontara una gran familia.

A full five because I know no other. I attended from 1^st-​8^th and to this day have kept many of those social ties formed on Fair Oaks… mind you, I’m class of mid 80s vintage. Thanks go to Miss Ticas and the other good teachers that devoted their careers to educating youth from the neighborhood and instilling a sense of character in their subjects, I mean, students. All kidding aside… much props to the Saint James staff for their hard work. From my class have emerged many community leaders, educators, artists and other prominent members of society. And that’s just the class of 1985. They must be doing something right.

I am honored to write the 1^st review on this school as it is also my 50^th review.
I have attended St. James from Kindergarten through 8^th grade. Graduated in 1997 with more than the basic skills and knowledge needed to conquer what lied ahead of me. St. James has prepared and challenged me during my childhood years in no way another school can. Here, they treat you like a family. in a compassionate and caring way. There is something about this school that seperates it from the others. The faculty and staff show empathy and concern towards every student and not branding them as a number. The students are responsible, have a strong sense in Catholic morale, empowering, and role models for each other. Their curriculum is somewhat more advanced than the average school. They try to involve parents and family members of the students as much as possible. They offer extra curricular activities such as sports and field trips. The teacher to student ratio is 1:15 versus 1:18 (national public school average).
I myself, would love to enroll my future children here because the younger years are the most important years of shaping a childs life. There is so much life and love that I remember from this school. So many memories and wonderful teacher to remember. Thank you St. James for being one of the greatest stepping stones of my life.
