Only in San Francisco. Picture the scene, its September, so summer is just hitting san fran, having weathered the windy fog shinenigans of Mark Twain famed exclaim. Knowing this, you’ve opted for fall half marathon in lieu of summer, thinkin’ bright days may prompt some delightful training runs in ggpark. Enter Stowe Lake Concessions. Stowe lake is one of my favorite places to run. You can go for the short jaunt ’round the lake a few times, or make a hard go of it and choose hill repeats to top out where lovely elders tai chi at daybreak. And hear me roar: Stowe lake concessions is a key component to why this place rocks, though a pagoda, some lily pads and the general sense that i may just as well be in Asia does do much. How often does an old-school snackshop offer the likes of coconut water(proper electrolyte restoration minus the sugar.), tea of all varieties(with *stevia* packets in lieu of neuro-toxic nutrasweet) and gluten free bars/cookies for immediate post-workout glycogen refill? Plus, the non-health nut among us can also get a hot dog and some carmel corn, so its an inclusive offer. and you can even feed the ducks… gluten-free naturally ;)
