Stuffed will leave you stuffed full of pierogi goodness! However, these are not your bucias pierogies; these are filled with interesting spins on the traditional like the buffalo cheese or the spicy avocado and sausage. Dammit, now I want some pierogies! Nice selection of beers to go with those rogies as well.

Totally overpriced and not special! Those of you who are supposed experts on pierogis should look up the Polish Village Café in Hamtramck, MI or Odessa in NYC to see what they SHOULD cost. I’ve eaten at both many times, my boyfriend is Polish, peirogis are CHEAPPEASANTFOOD and I’m not swallowing this SF hype. Y’all are being ripped off and taking it up the rear, happily. People who say these are fairly priced are not the kind of people I can take seriously.

Pierogies? Yes! Found Stuffed randomly while browsing Unilocal for a casual Thursday night dinner place and spotted the many 5 star reviews. Pierogies? Sure, why not! My friend and I decided to check it out for ourselves. Stuffed is right next to the 24th St. Mission Bart stop and across the street from El Farolito, which was a very easy commute coming from FiDi. The place was relatively empty when we arrived at 6:30pm so no reservations necessary. There were a couple of tables and plenty of bar seating and you can choose after you order and pay at the cashier. The menu was straightforward — you can choose between the 2 pierogies meal(~$ 10), 3(~$ 15), or 5(~$ 20) and each option comes with two sides. We went with the 3 pierogies meal and added a side of the Polish sausages and dinner came out to ~$ 20. For our choice of pierogies, we chose the Mushroom, Spicy Avocado(our favorite!), and Bacon Cheddar. Overall, we were very impressed with how flavorful everything was so call us fans!

I came here exactly a year ago, and it was my first time eating pierogis, so I thought these were pretty good. But recently I had them at Rich Table, and I was so confused! They were so different, I couldn’t believe they were both considered pierogis. I loved the pierogis at Rich Table — they were one of my favorite items from the tasting menu. The ones here are okay, but not great — there is no crust, and some of the sides are good but some are just okay. I feel like the different flavors here are good, but they are just distractions(kind of like how a mediocre burger place needs to add sauce and 5 items to make the burger interesting). These pierogis are kind of like warm dumplings with different insides. If this is your first time eating pierogis, you should try them at Rich Table while you can(they change their menu often).

Pierogies are great, super authentic! They’re HUGE and super flavorful, crispy outside and delicious filling with a side of sautéed onions and coleslaw. They have a lot of different types, I’d recommend getting a bunch and splitting it with you friends you can try everything! Low-key restaurant with a few tables — although if you’re a big group you can hog the big table at the end. Only detraction is that they take a somewhat long time to bring out the food. It doesn’t really matter though, cause you can play shuffleboard while you wait! Did I mention shuffleboard? Ask the bartender or someone around to teach you how to play. At first I stereotyped it as an «old person game» but it’s actually really, really fun and requires a lot of skill! Super convenient location next to 24th St. station, great place to wait for someone coming off the BART and kill some time with drinks and shuffleboard!

Wow. What a little gem. Spicy avocado and bacon cheese were my favs. She serves her dad’s wine and it’s tasty — I liked the«Gravel,» a Cabernet — Merlot blend. There are also board games and shuffle board in the back.

I walked right by this place on my hunt for food near 24th St. BART station — I’m glad I circled back. This is probably the epitome of comfort food for me – warm, doughy, unpretentious so you don’t worry that you’re eating it wrong. The pierogi were satisfying and distinctive, the sides were actually delicious. It’s hard in SF to get traditional cooking that tastes like someone made it with love. Most food tastes like someone made it to impress you. This is the love version.

Happy happy happy happy happy. I LOVESTUFFED! This place has been bookmarked on my list for SOLONG. The only pierogi I can find in the Bay Area you say? I just have a hard enough time getting out of the East Bay in general, let alone to the mission but when we and le fiancé scheduled an SF date, I knew this had to be our dinner spot. I am Polish and love Polish food — I also make my own homemade pierogi so lets just say I’m pretty picky. This place truly delivered. I loved the trendy take the place did on pierogi fillings — you could get anything from goat cheese and spinach to bacon and cheddar. The jalapeño and bacon and cheddar were my favorites — goat cheese was close second. The salmon tasted a little funny to me — pierogi in my head should be meaty not fishy — but if you’re into salmon I’m sure it could be your thing. My only suggestion to the management is that maybe you could think of doing pan fried pierogi options too? That’s how I make mine and it just doubles the level of comfort food-ness. I also wish they had pierogi z ruskie because it’s my favorite — but I’ve heard they have that at other times. Le fiancé and I split a pitcher of pilsener for $ 15. All in all, we spent about $ 17 each for a full plate of Polish food and 2.5 beers. Not bad at all! I wish there was one closer!!! Na zdrowie!!!

If you haven’t checked out Stuffed, you are missing out!!! The classic Polish food is absolutely DELICIOUS, the service is friendly and prompt, and the prices are very affordable! I’ve been here a handful of times. The first time for a friend’s birthday party, where 16 of us scrunched in together around the outdoor table on their front patio. We ordered communally, one or two of everything on the menu, and shared… this was a great idea, a wonderful way to get to try everything without too much commitment! Each order of five Pierogies came with a sweet, finely chopped purple Cabbage Slaw, sauteed onions atop the Pierogies, Sour Cream to eat them with, and either Cucumber Salad or Borscht(also served traditionally with sour cream on top!), both of which were equally delectable! While all the options were delicious, my absolute favorites were the Bacon Cheddar, Goat Cheese Spinach, and the mesmerizingly delicious Sweet Potato Perogis!!! I’ve been here several times since, and each time I leave feeling happy… and super-Stuffed!!! I HIGHLY recommend this woefully-underappreciated restaurant!!!

A pierogi is a delicious food and everyone should try one(or five). But I really have no idea how to explain what exactly it is — mixed and blended ingredients inside of a wonton that together creates a savory taste? I went with my boyfriend and we ordered 5 pierogis with a side of asparagus salad. Of the five that we ordered, our favorites were the Bacon Cheddar Pierogi and Jalapeño Pierogi, but I don’t think you can go wrong with any choice!

After a wonderful whirlwind teip to Pittsburgh, I was craving more pierogies, so I searched around to see what SF had to offer, and I found this little gem. While the pierogies they make are pretty much nothing like the pierogies I had in Pittsburgh, they are still delicious and the customer service is wonderful. The pierogies are HUGE. Easily four times as large as those I experienced elsewhere. The fillings are generous and delicious. I love the classic potato bacon and the spinach goat cheese equally. For ech round of pierogies, they fry the with a huge portion of butter. They also have beer, cider, and wine(made by the father) of the owner. Top the great food off with long bar and shuffleboard, and you have a great place for an after-drink dinner!

Stuffed indeed. Reasonable price and excellent location. From the pictures, it looked like a much bigger shop but it turns out to be rather tiny. They have a few tables outdoor that can probably fit around 10people or slightly more. There are two tables indoor for 2 and a row of bar counter seats. Of course, the tables can be rearranged to accommodate bigger group but you are probably going to have a hard time. It’s a partial self service business. Place your orders at the counters before getting your seat. They will serve the dishes. There were three of us and we ordered 5 Pierogis Meal at $ 20. The portion was sufficient to feed three of us. Ordered the ice tea for $ 2/each, turned out they were canned ice tea which stated $ 0.99 on the can. Oh well. The food taste was alright. Nothing earth shaking but very edible stuff. We really like the outdoor seating especially on a summer evening. It’s very comfortable and breezy. The staff were incredibly friendly which is awesome. They have pretty cute décor too. Overall a decent dining place to visit for small groups/couples who are looking for a simple fuss free dinner.

If you’re looking for something other than burritos, Stuffed a great place to grab some food next to the 24th Mission Bart Station. The food here is so tasty and works well as a Pick Up dinner. They usually have a few vegetarian pierogis(I like the goat cheese and spinach one), and the three pierogis order is very filling. They also come with a few incredibly tasty salads. The space is okay. I probably wouldn’t plan to go there for a super special dinner, but I might take a group of friends. In other words, on a scale from Foreign Cinema to El Farolito, it leans towards the latter, but is more expensive. One thing is that I’ve never had a problem finding a place to sit, but I’m usually grabbing food to go. If you do want a little nicer atmosphere, but not too pricy, Paprika is right around the corner! A few things that keep it from 5 stars: — It’s not 100% consistent: I’ve had one or two pierogi’s that had a lot more dry potato in them. Not very tasty. — With the atmosphere and food presentation, I wouldn’t go here to impress someone. It’s usually pretty empty, but I think a lot of people order food to go. — Eh, between the toilet paper on the sidewalk outside, and the sneezing people making the food, and the below 90 health score, I usually feel more grossed out than I’d like to when I eat here.

Pretty great food here. Started off a bowl of borscht which was pretty good as borscht goes. As for the pierogies, I had the spicy sausage & cheddar, avocado & jalapeño, and the buffalo & blue cheese which were all very tasty. My girlfriend couldn’t stop raving about the chicken & feta, so I’ll have to give that one a try next time. The perigois that are labeled as spicy actually are spicy(which is nice to see), and they’re pretty big so unless you’re starving two of them will probably be enough given the sides they come with. I think I’d have rather had traditional sauerkraut instead of the sweet apple kraut they served, but that’s nitpicking. As for the space, it’s mostly bar with a couple of tables inside and more tables outside in the covered outside dining area. Lots of Death Metal being played, and a couple of TV’s showing sports. Decent beer selection too. Wouldn’t go out of my way to come here, but if I happened to find myself in the area I would certially return if I was in the mood for a good filling meal and some beer.

Goodness! How have I not been to stuffed until just this week? It is heavenly. They serve two things: pierogi and beer. Sides come with the meal. Apple sauerkraut is surprisingly tasty and I usually don’t like sauerkraut. I like the bacon cheddar and mushroom with spinach best. Plain is just plain. The sweet ones are sweet potatoe and blueberry — they are ok but the savory ones are way more special. Staff was incredibly accommodating. But I think they can be a little forgetful. Case in point: they accepted reservations and upon arrival was super happy to put together three tables inside(which by the way is about as much space as there can be; all the rest is bar seating) and did not mind me bringing a 10mo old baby. My baby by the way greatly enjoyed the pierogi! I cut it up to small pieces and they were perfect for her toothless tastebuds. When later my friends ordered dessert as an add on, the staff forgot about it until we reminded them at the end. So I think the staff are well meaning but you should give them some slack if they forgot some extra orders… after all, it’s just pierogi!!! The location is excellent, right next to the 24th street Bart. I foresee myself coming back again quite often!

I’ve been meaning to give Stuffed a try for awhile. Finally, one Friday night we were driving around the Mission and low and behold there was a parking space right in front. It was meant to be. I took it as a sign. We quickly ordered a couple of their pierogis. Once we ordered we were told we could sit anywhere which we did. They have a couple of board games available if you wanted to play which is kinda nice. There were only 2 people working that night. One being the waiter/cashier and the other being the cook/dishwasher. It wasn’t very crowded… just a couple of 2 people parties other than ourselves. The waiter was pretty friendly despite forgetting to give us water, utensils, and the drinks we ordered. We ordered the mushroom and cheese, bacon and cheddar, spicy sausage and avocado, and traditional pierogis with the strawberry pierogi for dessert. The dishes came with purple slaw, apple sauerkraut, and a brussel sprout salad which were all interestingly flavored. In my opinion, the best pierogi was the bacon and cheddar. It definitely had the most flavor other than the strawberry dessert pierogi. In my opinion, the other pierogis lacked flavor and were very heavy.

Pierogis were good but the really yummy sauces and sides made it for me. Sweet slaw, where have you been my whole life? We got the 5-pierogi plate: Buffalo, Jalapeño, Bacon Cheddar, Salmon and Blueberry(dessert). It came with sides of apple sauerkraut, bell pepper salad and the to-die-for sweet slaw. The Blueberry Dessert one was a bit too heavy(I would’ve preferred fresh cream to the heavy cannoli-style sour cream), but still found it yummy by the end. I’m deducting one star because the pierogis took a long time to come even though we were the only customers in the entire store. At least they were fried fresh I suppose, but it was 9pm and we were starving.

Color me oblivious. It’s a hue between magenta and moronic. I’m sure I’ve walked by this place over a dozen times in the past year it’s been open, but I didn’t take notice until it showed up on my Unilocal app when I was looking for a late-ish dinner after work. I scratched my head since the address looked like it was on the same block as El Farolito next to the 24th Street BART station. Sure enough, it’s right across the street in between two discount stores. It’s a narrow space with a long counter and tables out in a sheltered patio(photo: ). There not a single soul in the place, not even the owner, but the minute I looked down at the menu, he came out of the darkness to take my order. I know what pierogis are — dumpling aficionado that I am — but I needed a refresher from the owner, especially how they make them. These are not the potato-cheese creations that you would expect to buy in a Krakow deli. No, these reflect the owners’ Midwestern background as they are bigger and carry a broader variety of fillings like smoked salmon, bacon cheddar, goat cheese and spicy avocado sausage. I decided to take advantage of the $ 13 Two-Pierogi and Whole Sausage Meal with Mushroom and Jalapeño my two selections(photo: ). It was quite a plateful of food as it also included Sweet Purple Cabbage Slaw, Apple Sauerkraut and Cucumber Salad. It was delicious comfort food especially with the caramelized onions strewn about, the split pork sausage juicy and spicy and a dollop of sour cream as a finishing touch(photo: ). I think I’d like to come back and try some of their dessert pierogis since those are filled with ricotta and cream cheese and fresh berries. I did chat a bit with co-owner Andrew Schoengrund since I was rather concerned the place was completely empty all the time I was there. He assured me weekends are busy when there’s a game on. That’s when I realized that this was not targeted to those looking for a full-fledged dining experience. Rather it’s a destination for weekend warriors and club-hoppers looking for a quick bite. Sounds good to me. FOOD — 4 stars… quite tasty pierogis & sausage served up home style with lots of sides AMBIANCE — 3 stars… not all that conducive for dining but a quick bite works SERVICE — 3.5 stars… appears to run the place by himself when it’s slow TOTAL — 4 stars… more dumplings for me, please
