I was eating my sandwich and charging my phone. When this young employee walked in and tells me that it is“against company policy” to allow customers to use outlets. If they didn’t want customers to use their outlets maybe they should remove them as many city businesses do, or at least put child proof outlets on them. Fail customner service.

Out of all the Subways I’ve been to in the city, this is hands down my favorite one. It’s clean and the staff are friendly; what more could one want from a Subway? If you don’t like the sandwich it’s probably because you didn’t craft it properly. I ordered the falafel vegetarian sandwich and throuougly enjoyed it. Thanks Subway :)

This is one of the only Subway Sandwiches I will eat at. Some have this horrible dishrag smell. And others have this terribly addictive yummy smell coming out. This one has that yummy smell. I worked at Gymboree in this shopping center back in 2000 – 2001, and would eat lunch here regularly, and the same people still own & run this location still today. They’ve watched my kids grow up and are extremely friendly to me. I’ve eaten here hundreds of times and have never once had a problem with anything. The bread is always fresh, same with the veggies(I’m a vegetarian so I cant speak about their meat quality) and the customer service is always excellent. 5 big stars.

Do they train people to short customers on spinach when they ask for«everything»? The last time I checked everything means everything that you have, not everything minus spinach. Especially on a veggie delight… come on man.

I WILLNEVEREATHEREAGAIN!!! I have no idea what criteria this subway hires their employees based on, but after eating here last Wednesday I know they don’t care at all about customer satisfaction. I came in between my shifts, so I had 20 minutes to grub and go. Upon ordering my sandwich, the lady that took my order immediately assumed«to go?» To which I said no, for here. After eating half my sandwich, I needed a bag to store the other half for later. I went to the counter and politely waited, no one came out of the side room. So I politely said«excuse me?» no one came out. I then raised my voice slightly more, slightly more, and eventually realized I was intentionally being ignored. I went to the side of the counter to see if I could look into the stock room, the man working actually made eye contact with me, but ignored me. At this point, I lost my patience, and felt no need to be polite. I was literally shouting«hello?!» «excuse me?» This still did not work, at this point I resorted to banging my wallet on the counter, shouting«hello?!» Finally, the woman appeared from behind the counter, smirking and trying to hide her laughter and smile and just looked at me. I said«can I please have a bag?» she simply handed me the bag and walked away. I don’t know what kind of miserable people this Subway is hiring, but the employees must be so miserable with their jobs that they feel the need to piss off loyal customers and ruin their day just to get some type of satisfaction. When I buy food rather than making my own, I do it to make my life easier, and in a timely manner. This subway did the exact opposite, ruined my day, and I left feeling distressed. I will never eat here again, your employees SUCK. I hope you shut down, and I am trying to find a way to report this customer abuse.

I’m a fan of Subway and it’s one of my go-to places for lunch and it’s a healthy option. So why the 2STARS? Well, this particular Subway does NOT honor the«$ 5 footlong» deal. They charge an extra .50 cents for their sandwiches and I don’t understand why. This is the only Subway in the city that I know of that does this. Maybe it’s to make you get a combo or maybe they just want to nickel and dime you, but either way it’s stupid and misleading since Subway advertises their $ 5 footlong deals everywhere! Way to be honest and consistent, Subway! Don’t think I’ll be coming back here.

Good old Subway at this shopping center, if it still merits that identity. Gone are the days of Mervyns and Toys R Us, with only a couple stores surviving, with subway being one of them. Compared to other subways, menu wise generally the same. The place is pretty average itself, although despite the door being open it always feels like 80 degrees inside. This could be a testament to the fact that they’re always making sandwiches. As the only subway within this area(ignoring the Subway on Fillmore, which isn’t as appealing based on location) it makes sense why people would flock to this location. I understand people will give it low review for little thibgs but its a chain, healthy fast food if you will. Yes. There is a $ 6 minimum credit charge, yes, you will be forced to wait in line sometimes, but the service is generally very good. The employees work fast, make your sandwich according to Subway Rules(I.e: footloing gets six cucumbers, tomatoes, etc) so no reason to be accusing them of being stingy, its just the way they were trained. If you want more, just ask. No real complaints about this place. It’s generally clean, sandwiches taste good, and still cheap for about $ 6 for a foot long. Give these guys a break, can’t be mad at them if it costs you an extra $ 1 than any other subway.

This Subway is very busy, so prepare to wait. Yeah they won’t chat and talk ’bout the weather here, but you do get the freshest Subway subs in the city here. I had no problems using my card here or problems with rude employees as others have. Maybe it’s because I order– no special request, cause I’m special attitude-, pay, and eat expecting nothing more. Service is A+. Serving size are on par with other Subways, but again– very fresh here. Peace out. And a big thank u to this place!

I eat Subway a lot because it’s cheap, and for most part tastes okay to good. I’d give most Subways 3 or 4 stars. Why am I giving this one only 2 stars? They charge $ 5.50 for $ 5 foot longs, that’s why. This is the ONLY Subway I know that does this. You can tell on the signs they’ve added«.50» with additional stickers. This Subway is just a few blocks from me, so yeah, I still come here quite a bit, but this still bugs me and compared to other Subways«I’ve experienced better.»

Yuck. Why oh why did I get so desperate? I can’t expect much from Subway. Low quality sandwiches with HALF of their ingredients being stored as frozen, and then defrosted throughout the day. The Subway on Geary is especially dirty, and a bit unorganized. They didn’t seem to know what they were doing, or maybe it was a just a new employee in the process of training? Either way, I’ll never ever stoop so low and turn to Subway for sandwiches again.

It’s a subway, don’t really expect much. I find the service good. Never really had a bad experience here with skimpiness on items or minimum credit card charge.

Horrible. Owner is an unfriendly biotch, and I always end up getting OCD guy to help me– he lines up every piece of vegetable and takes way too long.

It’s a Subway. Chains offer something we often take for granted: consistency. A sandwich at one location ought to be the same as any other location. This place is nice because it’s usually not crowded, and there’s a parking lot. I haven’t noticed too many limitations on the menu as some other reviewers noted, but I have one or two favorites and usually stick to them.

This was a very small Subway location with a limited menu – they didn’t even have pepper jack or spinach. Also, there is a $ 6 minimum for credit cards, which is ridiculous since Subway’s signature is a $ 5 Footlong so they in essence are trying to force you to «make it a meal» and add on that chips or a drink they offer if you want to use your card. So today when I had no cash and was unaware of this policy – maybe they should put a BIG sign at the entrance or where you order, not a small little one by by the register where it’s too late by the time you see it – I was so annoyed that I refused to spend more money on something extra I didn’t want so I said forget it you can keep that sandwich then and left. It’s a stupid policy that I’m not buying into, literally.

The only thing within reasonable walking distance from my new place of work, I decided to hit up this Subway for lunch. Here are a few differences I noticed about this Subway vs other ones: –This place is PARTICULARLY stingy with their items(olives, onions, etc… for example, 5 small slices of olives on an entire footlong, 3 individual slices of onions stretched end to end, etc) –There is a $ 6 minimum charge for credit card use(VISA and Mastercard don’t know about this, because this is STRICTLY against VISA /Mastercard policy) –The franchise owner(or at least he seemed the part) was very unpleasant and awkward –He only whispered a half-assed«thank you» as he threw my receipt on the counter Man, wtf. My first time at this Subway, a first of(unfortunately) many visits, ends up being one of the worst Subways I’ve been to? Damn. Maybe VISA and Mastercard should know about their minimum credit card charge practices… any takers? Two middle fingers up to this Subway for a whopping 1 Star!

I never expect too much at a Subway. I guess the service is what differentiates this chain. The workers are really nice and you can tell they’re trying to get the line down when there is one. My only complaint is that when I make it a meal I don’t understand how my bill jumps up to $ 12. Is there is some super-sizing going on that I don’t know about? Or is SF tax on the climb?

This review is for the people trying to find this place. I had no idea where this Subway was located. I even looked for it on Google Street View and could not find it. After aimlessly wandering around the gigantic building it is located in, I finally found it. It is tucked behind the corner of Best Buy. As for the sandwiches goes, Subway is Subway.

I usually don’t review fast food chains unless there is good reason. $ 5 footlongs — nice cheap grub. But WAIT! Pay with your ATM and there is a *$ 6* minimum. SUCKIT! This is not a standard Subway policy, just this location. No doubt the rent is so high for these guys that they need to pull crap like this. When Toys R Us was in this shopping center, they charged like 10% higher than all other TRU’s. Again I say SUCKIT! Nice try SUBWAY!

You know what — I’m giving subway 4 stars. Deal with it. I have a certain friend who talks a lot of shit about Subway — saying its«gross and disgusting». That is just absurd. Pizza Pino is disgusting. Subway isn’t going to give you diarrhea, now is it?! NO, because its healthy, good and quick food. Now, you have to appreciate it for what it is. Obviously there are tons of better submarine shops out there. But– subway is pretty decent, you have to admit. I eat here almost every day for lunch because of convenience, and because Lettus is sucking my wallet dry. Subway helps me eat healthy, and it fills me up. I don’t want some foo-foo spinach salad with frisee and champagne vinaigrette — I want a filling yet healthy sandwich, dammit! And you know what — subway provides that for me. Now, if they would just open up a 24hr Subway… The reason why I’m not giving 5 stars is because the line is always out the door. But hey– that is just a testament to the fact that Subway is bomb. Admit it, food snobs.

If I were a sandwich artist I’d feel compelled to create sandwiches containing nothing but heaps of olive slices, you know, to challenge the way we think about our sandwiches. And they’d fire me for sure, and I’d end up hanging myself in the stockroom. About a year later some subway exec would hear about my story and be moved enough to have them introduce the olive sandwich nationwide, to mixed reviews(The Village Voice would describe it as «Provocative, but upon closer inspection lacking depth and relevance to our times.») I’d be mentioned in a few NYU grad students’ dissertations and ultimately fade into obscurity. This is why subway makes me kind of sad, even though it’s quick and somewhat healthy as fast food goes.
