Dear female sandwich maker… if a customer asks for you to heat up their food and not toast their bread… you shouldn’t refuse. The whole point of this place is to make a CUSTOM sandwich for the CUSTOMER. Throwing something in your microwave is just as simple as throwing it in the toaster.

Good location, nice employees, clean restaurant, fresh bread, fresh produce, resanable pricing. Overall a great subway experience.

So this Subway is just a regular subway. Subs, wraps, breakfast and lunch.(And dinner) Sodas, juices, milk etc. Service, a little slow but I went right before closing, I would hope that during peak hours, they would have more people working. The sandwich, just like any other subway sandwich. Overall, nothing special, just an average subway!

I guess people who work at that place know nothing about the thing called team work! Unbelievably rude and moreover slow service. Gave extra star just for unlimited drink refills *)

For a Subway, this location is pretty bad: * Disorganized team — You have people running around each other, messing up the sandwich queue. * Terrible service — The lady behind the counter gives you dirty looks the whole way, as if you ran over her dog and asked her to serve it to you. * Shady practices — This subway does not honor coupons, and they have short-changed myself and others on several occasions. This location is convenient, but I’d rather go to the one on Market instead. Walking is good for me anyway.

If you roll through the Temporary Transbay Terminal on the Greyhound or some such on the weekend or in the PM hours, you’ll find this area is totally abandoned. All the restaurants within like 4 or 5 blocks are shut down … except this Subway, open 7 days a week, until 10 pm on weekdays and I think 7 pm on weekends. Typical Subway but 4* just for being there basically. They do have the rotating $ 5.25 daily combos and the $ 6 footlong of the month as well. I know Subway jacked all their prices all the sudden but that’s everywhere in the U.S., not just here.

Fastest service ever! Two customers, two different breakfast sandwiches in under 10 minutes! That’s got to be some kind of record!

I’ve been here a few times, and every time it’s been pretty okay, nothing above and beyond a fast food place. This time, one of the sandwich artists, an older lady totally skimped on my sandwich! Not enough vegetables or mustard. I didn’t want to be a diva and ask for more, but most Subways you go to they give you a normal amount of veggies if that’s what you’re asking for. She didn’t seem to have a good attitude and put no effort into my sandwich. Won’t be coming back!

The employees are not very friendly & always give the impression that they’d rather be doing anything but making ur sandwich. They never remember my order so I always gotta watch them make it or else they mess it up. They’re the only Subway I’ve been 2 that puts spinach in their sandwiches so I always gotta remember 2 say no spinach. The business hours online & on the door say they’re open Sunday at 9am but they actually open whenever the employees decide 2 get there & open the place. I go there Sunday mornings at 9:25am & they’re never open. Their prices are slightly higher. And worst of all, their bread is always stale. 2 stars 4 cleanliness & good location. But if u have time 2 walk a couple more blocks, there are at least 2 other Subways in the area that I would definitely recommend.

Whenever I go to a Subway joint, I always get their Italian BMT and it’s always been good! But somehow, this joint didn’t do much justice to my most beloved BMT… lol! Let me put it this way, it felt like I wasn’t eating anything — tasted blah to me. Not coming back!

I usually hit this place up in the morning coz they always have fresh bread and veggies. One footlong makes two meals for me and is good for people who are watching their calories. Lunch time gets pretty busy but the line moves fast. They are not stingy on the fixings too. Luv that chipotle sauce!

Friendly staff members and the best sandwich shop. The shop looks new, clean and spacious. Subway Sandwiches — definitely a sandwich shop to patronize when in need of a sandwich. Edit from 6÷16÷2015: Salami Sandwich with Shredded Cheese and Pickles on a 6″ Italian Roll is delicious. It tastes even better when it is oven warmed and toasted. The bread is crunchier. Staff members behind the counter was friendly — PROPS! FYI: there is Wi-Fi available now!

Caught this place while it was still open during the time advertised, and got a footlong $ 5 veggie delite. I think i could have clubbed would-be robbers in a back alley with this hard stale bread. Bread crumbled into millions of little pieces as I ate my sammy. F this place. Finally realized if i make the walk down to the 388 Market Street(across from the Ferry Building, where the sidewalk vendors set up), that subway is 24 hours and knows the«woes,»(hard stale bread, poor service, not adhering to Subway promos) of the main street location.

Five. Five Dollar. Five Dollar Footloooongs! February any! 1st star is awarded for a genius advertising campaign. What metric averse American doesn’t love shelling out just one $ 5 bill for 12 inches of cold cuts and Paremesan Oregano? Hold it! It’s March and the only non red meat item on the $ 5 menu is the Veggie delight. When I get a sigh for asking my sandwich chef to put more than 5 paper thin slices of tomato on a sandwich the size of my arm, there is definitely a problem(apart from my rather short arm). I am taking that first star back. I grew up a subway fan, but this place needs some work. The bread is crumbling, the staff does not go heavy on the veggies, and it is surrounded by equally priced eateries… Looks like I won’t be eating fresh for a while Jared!

This is by far the worst Subway I’ve ever experienced! I got my normal footlong turkey sandwich. Not only was the bread NOT fresh(must’ve been left over from the previous day; it was a lot harder than normal and just wasn’t fresh), but the«sandwich artist» put way too much lite mayo on my sandwich. When someone is asking for lite mayo, they probably don’t want more mayo than any other ingredient on the sandwich. Instead, my sandwich was completely covered in mayo. The last couple of inches on it had no other ingredients but mayo, absolutely disgusting. I will not be going back to this particular Subway.

Decided to come here to give their breakfast sandwiches a try. I was lured in by all the television commercials with promises of tasty and healthy sandwiches with 4 grams of fat for under $ 3! Ordered a black forest ham, cheese, and egg sandwich on an english muffin. First of all, the entire sandwich was left in the oven for about a entire 2 seconds, leaving the cheese barely melted and the english muffin not toasty at all. The slivers of ham and cheese were so thin I could barely taste it. No wonder it has so few calories and fat. Overall, the entire sandwich was bland and tasteless. Maybe I should’ve added some dressing to it when the worker asked… he obviously knew what I was about to be in for. Next time I would spend a little more and work off the few extra calories for a better tasting breakfast somewhere else.

Big props to this subway for three reasons: — Spacious, modern, and clean. Actually looks like one you’d see in a commercial — Hella friendly staff — Unlike its local sisters, unlimited free drink refills!

Why does Subway deserve 5 stars? One star for each dollar I spent to get a foot long! Yes, if you know how to do simple arithmetic, I took advantage of the«$ 5 for a foot long deal!» I’m a cheapo, so any deal I can scrounge up, I’ll be there! The sandwiches are always good and I love how they put jalapenos inside to give your meal a little KICK! Now, my next question to you is… When is the next free ice cream day for Ben and Jerry’s? You know I’ll be looking for it!

I recently went here and spoke with the owner — he’d never heard of Unilocal!I didn’t think there were local business owners left in SF that didn’t know about Unilocal. Anyway, the guy is super friendly. He told me that he and his wife had purchased this franchise a few months ago and he was working hard to leave a good impression on people. The work he puts into this place is obvious. The staff are really friendly and the sandwiches are well made — way better quality than your average Subway location. I can’t really justify giving a Subway five stars but this location is definitely a cut above. Even with a franchise operation like Subway, a business owner who is passionate about keeping his customers happy can make a big difference.

Original review 7÷13÷2006: Entertaining my thrifty mood, I decided to try Subway. Some people would never be caught in one, and others swear by them. This one turned out to be clean, well-lit, and sunny. There were four people pushing out sandwiches at lunch. A sign said the 6-inch sub of the day was $ 2.50, and the sub changes every day to keep regulars from getting bored. I bit — and added a small drink for a grand total of $ 4.00 including tax. I had the sandwich, toasted even, in about two minutes. Considering the fact that I don’t really want to eat a big lunch, this was a satisfying experience. Update 1÷5÷2007: After eating Power Bars all week I find the Subway sandwiches with under 6 grams of fat to be a real godsend. Update 4÷10÷2007: The sub of the day is now $ 2.99, plus tax if it’s toasted. Taxed anyway on Tuesdays and Fridays(see my review at Rincon Center: for more.)
