Super Duper Burgers

I was visiting San Francisco with my family, and decided to eat at this restaurant. My garlic French fries came with a cockroach on top of them!!! Disgusting! Staff though it fell on the fries from the heating lamp where they place food before it is served to customers. The manager was nice enough to apologize and remove the charge for the meal. However I would not eat there again, and it affected me when I think of other restaurants and how dirty some of them are. Check your fries.

Seriously good across the board including the killer milkshakes. Even the often neglected chicken sandwich and veggie burger are tasty and consistently well prepared. Solid kids options too. The only issue is that they’re usually jammed so be prepared to wait.

Not my first choice, but I’m glad I stopped here. I was impressed with the quality of this cheeseburger. Very well assembled, very tasty burger, lots of cheese on it and the fries were cooked perfectly. A limited choice of beers, but they had beer and really, that’s what counts. After all this walking, I needed it!
The joint is just too small for the crowds here. I was fortunate to get a good table outside under the awning which was helpful. Other people looked a bit lost as they tried to find a spot.
I’d have a Super Duper Burger again. It was definitely super!

The Super Duper Burger is one of the tastiest burgers I have had in my life, and THE most delicious burger I have had in SF. I add on the basic stuff (lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, and pickles) and order a side of their amazing garlic fries. You’ll need a pack of mints after eating these fries but a little bit of garlic breath never killed anyone. The food is cheap/​delicious, there’s rarely a long line, and there are plenty of tables available, so why wouldn’t you want to drop by for one of their tasty burgers?

Amazing burger place in SF. Yummy and great service! Burgers always fresh, homemade pickles. Delicious ice cream. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone who likes burgers!

I tried their chicken patty with bacon! MMMMM… I also got their chocolate dipped vanilla soft served ice cream. YUM!

In a city full of some amazing hamburgers, I put Super Duper amongst the top. Probably top 5, no question. The main reason why… they always deliver an amazing burger at each and every one of it’s locations. It’s consistently delicious, and that has to be «Super» difficult to pull off every time. ;)
Since I’m a Cow Hollow resident, I find myself at the Marina location most often (usually late night) and opt for the standard cheeseburger. Let’s get something straight though, there is nothing standard about it. Flat top grills might be the best vessel for cooking a hamburger as my other favorites around the city (Causwell’s) are prepared the same way. Another key component is the bun. The bun might be the most important part of the hamburger and Super Duper’s borders on the verge of brioche. The best.
It’s a great stop for a quick, reasonably priced burger in a city where the median price is close to $ 15 bucks! Hats off to the guys behind this chain, I love it!

Quite a place this is! We’re from out of town, found this place here, on Unilocal!Glad we did because EVERYTHING about this place is superb. They are fast, efficient, great atmosphere, and of course, the food… its…INCREDIBLE. We got mini cheeseburgers with everything (lettuce, tom, thin red onion, special sauce) burger cooked medium on toasted buttery bun, got fries to share and split a cookies n cream milkshake (next time, we’re not splitting) it was SO YUMMY! Burger was juicy and just right amount of crisp from the griddle.
You can sit there and watch everything be prepared and I have such a respect for the 3 guys I saw behind the line. One guy working the griddle doing all the burgers, the other two were on the line preparing buns, fries, assembling. It was amazing to see because it was all done so fast and so well. Pickles are made in house, all paper products are compostable, you seriously can’t ask for a better place.
We always stay in Cow Hollow and this will be our GOTO place in this ‘hood for sure!
Update: left our little French bistro after dinner last night to head back to Super Dupers for a cookies n cream shake for dessert, no splitting this time, wanted all that delicious goodness in a cup just for me! WORTH IT!

Not bad, though next time, I would probably walk to another one of the many places in the area.
The burger I got was alright, but it was not as great as I expected (or wanted) it to be. The flavors just didn’t pop, it was not as juicy as they promised (they say all burgers are cooked medium but mine was definitely medium well, emphasis on the well), and the food took a while to come out. I ordered mine with grilled onions, super sauce (nothing super about it, didn’t have much flavor), lettuce, and cheddar cheese. If the burger was a little bit less done and more seasoned, or if the sauce and other toppings had more flavor, this would have been so much better.
I did enjoy my garlic fries– lots of garlic, and a little bit of cheese as well. Really good and cooked perfectly.
Menu here is pretty small– burgers, fries, a few other sandwiches, beer and wine on tap, and shakes. Definitely not my favorite burger by any measure. It was definitely A-​OK but I am positive you can find a better burger in San Francisco.

Seriously, two things:
a) This was a seriously good burger.
b) I’m now daydreaming about garlic fries. Why do we not have garlic fries in Australia? Its a travesty!
I found this place while traipsing around the Marina via Unilocal.Did not disappoint. I love that I could get a mini (1 patty) cause usually 2 patties is OTT for me. A+++ Best burger I’ve had this trip so far!

It’s been a long time since I last was back at this Super Duper since I spend most my time in San Mateo now. I have got to say, I don’t regret coming all the way out to Cow Hollow at all. I really enjoy the Super Burger from this location. The meat is always juicy and not too salty, the bacon is crisp, the avocado and toppings are fresh, and the garlic fries are AWESOME! The old crew is missing, I don’t see them around anymore but the place still holds a dear place in my heart.

SUPER DUPER GOOD! I don’t think I’ve gone back to In N Out yet after trying a Super Duper Burger.
Everything about the burger tastes super fresh. I like to get everything on my burger with grilled onions, avocado, and topped with an egg for the extra protein.
I always get the cookies and cream milkshake too. It has this soy flavor to it that makes the shake really good.
I like how there are free pickles for you to grab at the condiment counter. Everything they use is compostable which is awesome!
I’ve been to other Super Dupers, but this spot is my favorite. The workers here are really friendly and also greet customers with a smile.

Been here 4 times and each time I sort of regret coming, but I will still give this place a 4 stars, why?
Burger:
I always get the super burger (2 patties) with everything on it. Sometimes when I feel rich I add avocado, bacon, cheese, and an egg. The burger is very juicy and flavorful, but very wet/​hard to fit my mouth around. By the time you take 2 bites, everything starts falling out or dripping.
Fries:
The normal fries is normal, nothing to it. The garlic fries for $ 0.50 is worth the upgrade. If you’re a vampire, I’d stay away.
Sauces:
$ 1.50 for 3 small cups of sauce, really? I just spent $ 10 on your burger and $ 3-​$ 4 on the fries, you’re gonna charge another $ 1.50 for some freaking sauce?
Since this is San Francisco, $ 10 burgers and $ 4 fries are not uncommon. But if you want a whole meal (Double burger, fries, shake/​drink) it will cost you $ 15-​$ 20. For only $ 7-​$ 9, I can get a whole meal at In-​N-​Out.

Good. Fast. Greasy. Yummy.
Parmesan Fries: Fresh garlic on fries with a delicious shredded cheese.
Super Duper Burger: Two patties. Moist, had a good texture. Loved the special signature sauce. Cheesy.
House Pickles: Fresh and yummy and free!
Only 12 dollars for all of the above!

Best fast food burger in the city. Quick, cheap, tasty, and love that they have free pickles, which are also very very good!
Seating is a bit lacking here, but if you wait a minute or two something will open up :)

Pretty tasty! You order at the counter, and then grab your seat. Condiments, napkins, etc. are located on the wall.
The burgers tasted fresh, well made, of decent size. The garlic fries were pretty good as well, and everything was fairly priced.
We made it just before a lunch rush, so there wasn’t a wait for us, but by the time we left, the line was peaking out the door.

I feel a little bad in saying that I really wasn’t feeling Super Duper. don’t hate me. Firstly, my Husband and I were overcharged, then when we pointed it out we also realized they had got our order completely wrong and then they overcharged us again. Once we thought all was ok (expect for being charged more than we should have been which we let slide) we sat down and waited for our food only for it to arrive and find out that our order was wrong again. Whatever, we wasn’t going to cause a fuss.
In the end I had the smaller of the Burgers plus Cheese and my Husband the larger Burger plus Cheese and Bacon with one side of Fries to share which totaled $ 28 or so. The general consensus was that the Burgers really were not all that and lacked seasoning, my Husband also didn’t appreciate that to have his cooked Medium was not an option, everything is well done.
Everything is open plan and you can see into the Kitchen (a + for me) and seating is limited. Complimentary Pickled are located next to the Soda machine.
Sadly, I doubt I will return.

Wenn’s mal schnell gehen soll und dennoch in Ordung sein muss, dann kann man die «Super Duper Burges» schon mal aufsuchen. Frisch gemacht nach Wuenschen schmecken die Burger ganz OK.

I think Super Duper might just be my favorite burger joint. I’m a usual at this location and I usually go for the super burger with cheese + avocado with an order of garlic fries. On days I want to spoil myself, I like to throw in a fried egg on that burger too: p The burger is a bit on the greasy side, but hey, whats a burger without a little grease here and there? It can get a bit overwhelming at times as other Unilocalers have stated, but for the most part, I do enjoy a little «grease» to keep my patty moist (not to the point where my bun is soaked though.)
On another note, the garlic fries are HEAVEN. They’re definitely more on the cheesier side in comparison to ballpark fries but thats what I love about them. Apparently they use 6 month aged cheddar so that’s pretty cool. Anyways, I’d say definitely stop by Super Duper if you’re craving a nice juicy burger– they do get pretty busy around dinnertime so stop by early if you can!

Affordable and tasty burgers in the Marina? Super Duper to the rescue!
Not a big place — a couple of tables, window front seating, and street-​side chairs. Which is great for people watching. Marina girls galore.
Right, the burgers. My CHEESEBURGER ($ 5) was meaty, juicy, and came with a nice spicy sauce — just excellent. So were the fries. No complaints in that department.
I can honestly recommend the SPIKE MILKSHAKES — love your milkshake with a little bit of booze? You got it.
Okay, and now back to the Marina girls.

Burger + Fries + Milkshake = Perfection.
Best burger I had in San Francisco. When you walk in here, you can tell it’s more a gourmet burger place. But hey, I will happily fork out more money if the goods deliver and boy did they do just that.
The place is not large by all means but has a few tables and a funky colour scheme. You order at the front and collect a number where they’ll bring you your food. The service was efficient and nice.
But who cares about those things, let’s talk food people.
The burgers, were just amazing. Juicy, flavoursome, smelled amazing — what else would you want from a burger? The juices dripping all down my hands and it was such a blissful moment. The garlic fries were perfectly cooked and topped off with cheese that melted onto the fries. Can it really get any better? Finally to wash it all down I couldn’t resist the super duper double choc milkshake. Wowza. Yum. That’s all I’ll say.
Yes, you can get burgers for so much less but this meal was worth every penny.

Wir sind zufällig vorbei gekommen und haben viele Einheimische gesehen. Das kann nicht schlecht sein haben wir uns gedacht und wurden nicht enttäuscht! Super Burger und traumhaft leckere Shakes! Der Service war sehr nett… Wir kommen gerne Wieder!

Ein Burgerladen wie man es sich wünscht. Etwas voll, aber das ist ja meistens ein gutes Zeichen. Die Burger um es gleich vorweg zu nehmen: grandios! Perfekt Gebratenes Rindfleisch, sehr gute Sausse. Top. Ich hatte die Supercombo mit Spezialsauce, Cheddar, lettuce und Tomate. Wow!

Wir waren hier auf der Suche nach einem typischen Burger. Ich hoffe mal, dass er das noch nicht war. Irgendwie hat es dem Burger einfach an Geschmack gefehlt, Salz und Pfeffer hätten wohl schon gereicht.
Aber es ist sicherlich kein schlechter Laden. Die Zutaten sahen frisch aus und die Leute waren sehr freundlich. War jetzt halt nur kein besonders guter Burger.
