I followed my friend and her mother here over the weekend. Her mother came here to get their store made ginseng root tea. Comes in a small packages and I must say I am a fan of the teabag. Very flavorful and not bitter at all. Since I need «heat» in my body… good tea options for me! I’m going to ask my mom to come to chinatown and help me get this since I dislike coming to Chinatown on my own.

I went to this place for a few basic Chinese medicines today, and the two men working there were able to help me find what I needed. Their prices were the lowest I’ve found in Chinatown — for example, yin chiao (a great supplement for the immune system) was $ 3 a box here, and it was $ 6 a box a few stores down.
Important note: They are cash only. I was $ 1 short, and the clerk kindly let me have what I was purchasing anyway… and he seemed surprised when I came back later to give him the $ 1.
Their English communication skills aren’t that great, which may be why they were so confused when I returned with $ 1…I think they didn’t remember who I was, and thought I wanted change for a parking meter! But if you are patient about communication, and can remember to bring enough cash, I’d definitely recommend this place.

This place is great for your traditional Chinese herbs. This company has been around for over 50 years. I always feel very comfortable buying ginseng and other herbs here. I know I am getting the quality and the best price. There are a lot of places that will cheat you and give you poor quality products. My family has been going to Superior Trading for many years. You will be very satisfied and happy you found a great place in chinatown.
