The coolest looking jello you have ever seen. Price is not bad given how labor intensive it must be to make these. Great for a special occasion. Nothing special regarding the taste, but he look so beautiful.

When you go to the Sf Street Food festival, try to avoid the vendor who is working for SWEETSCOLLECTION, especially if your Asian or Asian-American. I bought Vietnamese ice coffee from one of the Vietnamese employees who are selling coffee. Not too far away or sort of next door is the SWEETSCOLLECTION vendor. It sells sweet gelatin art with edible gelatin flowers. It was created by Rosa Rodriguez from Mexico. She was once a painter that were displayed in galleries before she decided to do desserts. Gelatin art was originally created in France before it was imported to Mexico and was perfected. I was looking at her website today and saw the photo image of Rosa Rodriguez. She wasn’t there last year on August 2012. Instead it was someone else. Another employee. She was brownish blond and kind of white skinned young lady in her 20’s. She looks more of a European descent. Most likely Spain. She could be French, but is most likely Mexican. After buying Vietnamese ice coffee, I came to the sweets collection vendor to look at the displays of the gelatin art. when I looked up to ask or talk to her, her face showed the emotion of a very bigoted racist person who not only shows contempt but arrogance but downright selfishness. She didn’t give me a mean disgusting angry, sneered look or racial glare, but she stood there, said no word at all, her eyes rolling to another direction and smiling arrogantly with contempt. Not smilingly by showing her teeth, but pure downright arrogance, contempt and selfishness. I am very sure she showed her ANTI-ASIANRACIALSENTIMENT to her next door neighbor vendor, the Vietnamese. If she is mexican or from any latin america or maybe spain, she definitely cares only about herself and her own race. I’m Filipino-American and I may look Chinese or from another Asian country, this is not the first time I encountered racism from the mexicans, especially when I first attended Mission community college. It is now called Mission campus. The mexican community is known for its ILLEGALIMMIGRATION and AMNESTY, whether they like to admit AMNESTY or not. 100% of them will not admit it. For me, a LEGALIMMIGRANT turned USCITIZEN of different ethnic background, my race doesn’t mean shit to these people. So for that I won’t mexican food or go to their restaurants or cafes run by mexicans. They are also cheap in giving small portions, like meat in the sandwiches. So if I see that same racist bitch again and not Rosa Rodriguez, I will definitely avoid her like an evil plague. I’ll most likely tell other Asians that she is racist too ALLASIANS and not buy her ILLEGALMEXICANGELATIN.

I first heard about them on t.v.(possibly Eye on the Bay) and finally got the opportunity to see the offerings at Eat Real 2012 at JLSquare. Beautiful, edible art that you realize the time, talent and patience that went into these… unfortunately, i didn’t get a chance to buy any but i’ll definitely keep them in mind for that special occasion… almost too pretty to eat! P. S. I’m sure they will get the final star once i try them! 4 stars for the wonderful artwork!

Surprisingly more people haven’t reviewed this place. Relatively new, Ms. Rodriguez & her 2 children received so much press leading up to the La Cocina Street Food Festival. 3-D gelatin art that is completely edible. It’s beautiful & definitely takes skill & craftmanship… she is 1-of-a-kind. The dessert shakes like Jello & is similar in taste & texture. It is a gelatin dessert so not too much left to the imagination to describe, except for the artwork. The various flowers and colors are truly magnificent & leaves you staring at them in disbelief. Definitely a dessert to be served at any festivity — bday, anniversary party, girl’s get-together, etc. Plus, alcohol can be added for a lovely, beautiful Sweets Collection shot!(they did it at the Street Food Festival, so why not?) ;)
