I should have checked Unilocal before I went to this location! It would have saved me from wasting my money. I always pass this taco bell and forget its in the area so I finally decided to stop in during my lunch break. I was shocked when the cashier rang up my order(cheese quesadilla, crunch wrap, and small drink) and it was a whopping $ 16.79!!! I verbally uttered my surprise about the price to cashier and asked her if this taco bell was way more expensive than other taco bells and she nodded yes. I pay less at chipotle for an enormous burrito, chips and guac and get much better quality food and enough for two meals. I won’t be coming back here again, that’s for sure! This location must be staying in business by taking advantage of people. How is this not price gouging?

Holy crap! HELLA expensive. I thought I was the only one. I spent $ 5.31 on a regular 5 layer beef burrito. I had the same one the other day at a different location for cheaper. THEREWERENTEVENANYSEATS. I walked in and the first thing I saw were 2 ladies standing up and eating. You’ve gotta be kidding me. especially with the high prices, I’m sure you could afford some tables. Pathetic. Will never be coming back.

The only reason why this taco bell survives here with inflated prices and mediocre food is the location. There are hardly any decent lunch options in this area without walking out further to the ferry building, out along market st, or toward the embarcadero centers. First off how does a crunchwrap supreme — not a meal, just a wrap cost $ 7.06? That’s almost double what you pay at other normally priced taco bell branches. Everything else on the menu is also inflated by almost twice the price. For convenience/location — I guess it would be fine if the food was actually good. My crunchwrap should’ve be rebranded soggywrap — and where is the lettuce? I know lettuce cannot be that expensive. There’s no seating here either — it’s take out or standing counters. A last resort quick lunch option

Expect to pay about $ 10 – 15 per person. Is this the most expensive Taco Bell in the country?

Just finished my 3 tacos and a large soda. Food and service are just fine. But, like a lot of the reviewers are saying, the prices are higher than other locations. I was hoping to save a couple of bucks for some fast eats but I was wrong. My simple meal cost me a couple dimes short of $ 10. I wont’ be a regular, but I’ll come back if I have a hankering for crunchy tacos.

The prices here are double the other taco bells! I assume this is because it’s in Financial SF. Don’t bother! It’s not worth it!

What is up with the prices? I get that lots of high income businesses are around here, but with all the low income people I see on the street, I feel like this place has no reason to double the normal Taco Bell prices. News flash: the rich people aren’t going to be eating here anyway, don’t target your prices toward them

Let me start off this review by saying there was absolutely nothing wrong with the food here, besides the portions being a little small compared to other locations and the tortillas being a little dry. The beef I have with this place is the prices. Normally, I can get a bean burrito at Taco bell for around $ 1.29. This Taco Bell charges $ 2.29 for a bean burrito, meaning that my order total is nearly $ 8, when I didn’t order anything fancy– just bean burritos. The fact that this location(and many other local businesses) thinks that it can take advantage of the relatively high income level of some of the area’s workers is wrong, and discourages middle-class residents from eating here. ENOUGHISENOUGH!

Yo, I’ll save you a trip — they don’t serve chalupas here. What is even the point? The guys who work here are great, but the three stuffed nachos I ate last night at 1 in the morning couldn’t fill the chalupa-sized hole in my heart

This is the best Taco Bell location I have been to and a go to spot when in need of a quick grub. The Doritos Locos Tacos are delicious and it is certainly one reason why I make occasional pit stops at Taco Bell. Overall, good first experience here. There is a counter for customers to stand and eat their food at. — Clean facility(+1) — Good quick service(+1) — Good food(+1) — Friendly staff members(+1)

Most expensive taco bell I’ve ever been to. Twice as much. Also some giant jock showed up and sang the first two words of a pop country hit, and just hummed/watermeloned the rest. Its sad taco bell has no control over that, or it might get more stars for being categorically absurd.

Taco Bell is always good, but it sucks that none of the nationwide promos are ever done here. They always say it’s because of the high cost of rent in the area, but the McDonald’s, Subway, etc can afford to run their promos, so why can’t they?

I’ve been around San Francisco for decades and remember when this Taco Bell location had lines spilling onto the sidewalk at lunch. I’ve noticed lately that it is basically empty, even at lunch. Thought perhaps it was just not hip. However, found out the real reason why today. Stopped in for a quick bite to bring back to my desk. As other reviewers have mentioned, geez it costs a lot!!! Very nice staff, but my burrito and tostada cost over $ 5, compared to the $ 2 they would cost at a neighborhood location. So the only reason to come to this location is if you are carrying the coupons they drop in my mailbox about twice a month. Otherwise, may as well go to Chipotle, where you would spend about the same and end up with larger, healthier portions.

It became a mission and half to locate Taco Bell one random evening with my roommates! But it was definitely a goal. We ended up finding it thru Unilocal and it was basically a mission to go we ended up there bc it was the closest one near us. Bear in mind it’s a limited menu! We wanted to get the grilled stuffed nacho but came to realize this is just an express Taco Bell with the basics! The guys were really nice and a noticed compared to a suburbia Taco Bell this was so much pricier! Crazy… might as well eat at an SF hole-in-the-wall!

By no means am I a fast food snob; quite the contrary! Ask me about Jack-in-the-Box, McDonald’s, KFC, Foster Freeze, DQ… You name it and I’ll probably respond with a «YUM!» The only two chains that I don’t get a hankering for are 1) White Castle and 2) Taco Bell. White Castle is not for everyone. The smell of steamed cabbage and beef patties will turn anyone’s nose. As for the latter, I’ve simply never had a delicious Taco Bell experience. Simple as that! You know what motivated me to visit Taco Bell recently? Doritos Locos! And yes, it’s good. It comes in three flavors: Nacho Cheese, Cool Ranch, and Fiery. Some would argue that the Fiery tastes best, but I’m gonna stick with the classic Nacho Cheese Supreme. It’s a little messy, but manageable. Depending on if this is an entire meal or just a snack, you probably want to order at least two to be on the safe side. Taco Bell Express in SF was better than I expected. Clean, fast, and you can eat standing up. Granted, there’s not a full menu, but come on! What else do you need besides a few tacos and a soft drink? Would I come back? Maybe… after some beers or a double dog dare. Is it my regular lunch spot? Nope! But did it change my outlook on Taco Bell in general? Sure!

I gave into my guilty pleasure & tried the new Fiery Taco. Never have I seen a Taco Bell with a 100% mark from the health dept. Somehow this justifies my unhealthy treat. Yummy!

THERE’S NOMEXICANPIZZA. But I live /work in a 4 block radius of this place, so even though its menu is not as extensive and there’s no seating, it’s open way later than all the other food places around, which is perf for cheap, later-night snacking.

Once in awhile I get a craving for Taco Bell. It also doesn’t hurt that it is cheap Americanized Mexican food. Yes TACOTUESDAYS! What I had today: Doritos Locos Tacos Supreme ~ $ 2.69/taco Got both the Nacho Cheese and Cool Ranch flavored tacos. My verdict is the Nacho Cheese one was better. Nacho Cheese taco is strongly flavored, the Cool Ranch disappears against the taco meat, sour cream and toppings. It ends up being a good taco, but there is nothing particularly Cool Ranch-y about it. Beefy Crunch Burrito ~ $ 2.99 Very interesting! A lot going on here with the warm nacho cheese sauce, sour cream and get this… Flamin’ Hot Fritos wrapped in a warm, flour tortilla. Rich and the cheese over powering the rice and the beef. Not great, but not bad. This branch is tiny, but I guess in the Financial District you can just get it to go and walk across to Embarcadero 4 where they have lots of tables and eat it there. Over all an ok lunch! It’s cheap and it’s quick which is what I need for a busy day like today.

The irony is delicious. Like, why do I love Doritos and Taco Bell tacos, but the Taco Bell Dorito loco taco doesn’t impress me at all? Like, why is it that when I’m eating in a very expensive restaurant, I have no problem with the prices, but when I’m at the cheapest restaurants, the prices bother me? I was walking by in the evening, and decided to try that Dorito loco taco. Just give me a second here. The taco shell looked like a Dorito, all orange and powdery, but the flavor wasn’t really a Dorito flavor. Later«biological testing» proved that the Taco Bell powder just doesn’t have the punch of the Dorito’s dried garlic powder. The cheddar is there, but the garlic was lost in translation. Other than that, this taco was pretty much the same as any Taco Bell taco. So the price was right, $ 2.05 an order, except that in this case an order is ONETACO! This is «hidden inflation» in my face! I know that in high school personal economics class* they taught us that at 3% inflation, the historical average, a dollar would lose half its buying power in 24 years. But look at what the price for tacos was at this store just 3 years ago. And over 15 years the price for ONETACO has pretty much doubled. That’s some«volatile CPI component» for you. Oh, sorry. The Fed doesn’t use CPI anymore, and I shouldn’t use the word«volatile» in connection with faux Mexican food, should I? Well, anyway, at least I know now, and in the future I’ll just buy the regular tacos at Taco Bell thankyouverymuch. — — — — — * Real high school classes from the 1960s: Personal Economics: How to balance a checkbook before your parents have to bail you out of the fraud prison.
