We recently hired James and Teets Builders for an odd fencing job that we needed done quickly. James came in, solved the problems we were having and gave us an incredible product in the end. He was very honest throughout and gave us a very reasonable bid for the job. We will definitely be using Teets Builders in the future!

We got a quote for a straightforward remodel of our 6×6 bathroom. This included replacing fixtures and retiling shower. No tearing down walls, no rearranging or significant changes to plumbing. He quoted us $ 20,000 for using medium priced fixtures to replace our old fixtures, and he wouldn’t touch walls or electrical, and minimal plumbing to make sure new stuff fit. Basically, take out the old and place the new. If we did want any further work, such as taking walls down to studs, it would be $ 33,000. Not sure where he got these numbers. Keep in mind, this is a straightforward, small (6×6) bathroom. No rocket science here.
We ended up using a different person, who allowed us to purchase our own fixtures through their person with a contractor’s rate. He tore down wall to studs and placed copper plumbing to the joints, redid electrical, and did a wonderful job for…$ 15,000 (not including fixtures, which were $ 2500).
Teets may be the best contractor that ever lived, I can’t say for sure since we didn’t use him, but his quote was so high as to be ridiculous.

I worked with James on two bathrooms. I had tile floors installed in both bathrooms, a new vanity put in, and also had a shower tiled. I had another bid on the job and his was similar to theirs, but I instantly felt a lot more comfortable about working with James. It was clear by just talking about his other work that he really cared about doing quality work and that absolutely ended up to be true. James came in with great ideas about how to handle some of the details which really helped me out a lot. I thought I knew what I wanted, but you don’t realize how much there is to think about until you get into it. The thresholds on the doors, the way the tile would be installed on the edge of the shower… it never ends. Quite honestly James was more particular than I was about my own house. He was always on time; as a matter of fact I had a hard time keeping up with his schedule. Any delays were definitely my fault. We even had a little problem with a vanity I ordered, and he just dealt with it and made it work. The whole experience was fantastic. I would recommend James to anyone.

James did outstanding work on my house this fall. After I bought my house I found out that I needed structural work on my garage, which was a stressful introduction to home ownership, believe me. James gave me a very reasonable bid compared to the other builders I spoke to, and he worked closely with my engineer through the permit approval process. The job was completed on time and under budget, with no problems from the city. I would not hesitate to hire him again for home remodeling or structural repairs. Great job!

I am an engineer who has worked with James on several projects. I highly recommend him to my clients. He is knowledgeable, honest, hardworking and trustworthy. The most imporant aspect is that he does not skip on framing materials. He does exactly what is called out on my plans and creates a safe environment for his workers.
