Man. This place is GORGEOUS. I had no idea this beautiful event space/art gallery was located here! It’s pretty close to the Bay Bridge entrance. I had the pleasure of attending an all day conference here a few weeks ago. The set up was awesome. I liked the multiple floors. Bathrooms are a little old school. It made me feel like I was in elementary school. The outdoor area is SUPER cute.

This review will come just from the initial emails, and tour: I LOVE this place. The two floors are both so flawless in their own way. I had been emailing Stacy(whom we also met with), and she was such a delight. She really was attentive, and positive. I feel like these tours can be slightly awkward, but it takes a very special person to be able to guide a wonderful tour, and Stacy did just that. we viewed the Terra Gallery(which is the upper floor) and the staff was setting up for a party, so there were things all over the place, but it gave us such an amazing perspective on what the room would look like with things in it. I really enjoyed the open space, and nice floors. The natural light is very important too. It can be a tad bight in the afternoon, however, they don’t place your ceremonies on that side of the room, so you would be ok. The lower level is called Mer. We LOVED this level. It is set up in such an interesting way; with the Oval Room, where the ceremony would be, with a wall separating it from the other side. Plus, there is an outside area. The natural light is super wonderful too, and some of the windows are frosted, so you get the light without the traffic. I have included some panoramic of Mer. We wont be using this venue, because unfortunately it is out of our budget, but not to say that it is expensive. I really do wish we were using this venue, because it is perfect for the type of wedding we are looking for!

Beautiful event venue, naturally accented with art and other gallery décor. I came here for a winter-themed fundraiser, and you could tell that it didn’t take much icing on the cake to make the place look gorgeous. The ambiance of Terra Gallery is very classy and glamorous. The sexy lighting and wide open spaces are great for any special occasion, from holiday parties to weddings. I look forward to attending more events here!

***************************** 1450 *************************** I was here for the Saint-Émilion Grands Crus Classés Bordeaux event. The staff from the front doormen, to the waiter, to coat check, everyone was nice and professional. The food was good, the lady room is super clean with female products, and fresh orchids, how elegant? The second-floor space was airy, lot of sunlight, a grand piano, leather couches, wooden floor, and beautiful art works all over the place. No valet parking, but a few public parking garages a few blocks away.

Terra Gallery and their team are simply AMAZING! I am a Catering and Event Planner in San Francisco and just finished hosting a Dreamforce party at Terra Gallery. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the space and the team. Terra Gallery management and staff are efficient, very organized, well staffed and quick on their feet. We had more guests attend at once than expected and they handled themselves with grace. They were comforting and very accommodating. They offer incredible support to ensure that your event runs as smoothly as possible. Our clients were thrilled with the overall ambiance of the event space as well as the very competent team. Thank you Terra Gallery for your part in ensuring that we held a successful event for the client. I look forward to working with you again very soon!

Terra Gallery is the only place in San Francisco you should be having your wedding. My wife and I visited more than 10 different venues in our search for the perfect spot to have our wedding. We rented the Terra and Mer floors and had a fantastic time. Stacy & Zach were our main points-of-contact. The best part is that they are at your actual wedding. So if there is an issue, you have someone you are comfortable with to talk to and make sure everything goes smoothly(though rest assured, there were ZERO issues from start to finish). My praises cannot be given enough. Everyone remotely associated with that building is amazing. Terra has put together a fantastic staff that can do no wrong. Please book whatever event you may have here. Terra is contemporary, classy, rustic, fun, everything. It is the most well thought out building in regards to holding events. I think its main appeal is everyone here is personable and that makes for one less thing on your plate when planning your event. We only hope to attend more events here in the future.

Our wedding was on August 15, 2015 and we’ve heard nothing but praises from our guests and even our vendors. A special thank you to Stacy Sugarman(Event Manager) & Zach(Event Assistant) for helping us coordinate this amazing wedding. We only have good things to say about working with them and about the venue itself. Though it was a little pricey, it was well worth it. We would get married again in a heartbeat just to be able to celebrate at Terra Gallery. From the get go, we knew this was the perfect place. It’s classy, but hip. Modern, but still industrial. It fit our personalities well. When we were first visiting venues we knew we needed a place that could hold at least 300 people for a sit-down reception. The choices were slim in San Francisco — SF Design Center, Winery SF, hotels, etc. We scheduled a visit with Stacy & we were immediately sold after meeting with her and finding out that she had her own wedding at Terra. The Terra team was super easy to work with, very accommodating, and friendly. I felt no stress whatsoever & knew that we were in good hands. Thanks for everything!

Terra Gallery is on point! My wife and I had our wedding here two years ago and I cannot tell you how easy they made it for us, especially with my wife who had turned into this BRIDEZILLA from Painted Rock. Both David and Stephanie’s organization and attention to every detail made our magical night one to remember. I consider them to be the Dragon Slayers of weddings, as they were able to tame my ZILLA and produce a once in a lifetime memorable moment.

What an amazing pace to have an event. It is really large and open. I was here for an «HBO» after party and it was magnificent. There are 2 very large levels with amazing acoustics. If you are having a showing or a reception, this place is where you should have it.

I just had my wedding at Terra Gallery in Oct. I could not have asked for better people to work with in helping me plan my big day. Stephanie was on top of it all, and held my huge wedding of 250 ppl + together. Everything went so smooth! We were able to take our ideas and transform the place, it looked AMAZING. So special. The whole crew there did a fabulous job. They also recommended a DELICIOUS caterer, Carrie Dove Catering. I still hear family and friends raving about the food. I wish I could go back, it all went by too fast… Thank you Terra for making it a classic 5 star event :)

Hands down one of the best event venues in the city and I’ve been in event planning for over 10 years. Stellar venue, staff and location all attribute to the five star rating! I recently hosted a fundraising dinner for the non-profit I work for. I had a lovely working relationship with Stacy. She is both professional and personable. She went above and beyond to get my questions answered and my(sometimes) strange requests addressed. When I needed suggestions, she offered great feedback and even indulged my mini brainstorming sessions over the phone. Day of the event she was no different, a true gem — helpful, efficient and kind. Matt who was our other day of coordinator was amazing; he was calm under pressure and helpful especially when needed support and during the clean up and load out. Cameron, the bar manager and his bartenders were great. They worked around our product(read we brought in our own booze) and served all with professionalism and a smile. Though I only met with some of the management, I can honestly say all were very generous and caring. The venue itself, holy moly, is magnificent. High(industrial like) ceilings, beautiful artwork on the walls, polished hardwood flooring. The lounge area was perfect for our cocktail reception. I loved the curtain separating the two rooms, large windows and plush clean carpeting. The green room was perfect for our staff/volunteer staging area. The kitchen was the perfect set-up for rented kitchen equipment and plating our 130 four-course dinners. Bathrooms were clean and stocked sufficiently with the essentials and some toiletries(eg hairspray and lotion). Perfect, perfect, perfect. Location is great too — right by the freeway and Bay Bridge and less than a mile away from Montgomery or Embarcadero Bart stations. Street parking isn’t horrible but awesome it’s a couple blocks from the 303−2nd Street Parking Garage. I wholeheartedly recommend this venue for an elegant event. You can do so much with the space, it really is an open canvas in so many ways. We’ll be back to host another event there, that is for sure. Thanks Terra Gallery for attributing to my event’s success, the most successful event of its kind to date.

I went here on 8−14−147:30pm’sh. Open bar with rocca patron tequila(mixed drinks using that alcohol). They also had catering, the sliders and fries were good, also had some latin appetizers. Just hanging out with my friends.

Recently came here for the developer week conference. Overall, it’s a decent sized space and not bad for a mid sized event.(I guess it depends on your idea of midsized — a large conference for me is like the Moscone center) Location is kinda lame, next the the highway deep in SOMA. You have to go up the steep ramp to the front door which also is annoying. And for a big space, the restrooms are limited and small.

I met the guy who’s in charge of events is new, but he didn’t need to be rude to me after recently clearing up after a 2 day event! He ASSumed that I was gonna ruin the hardwood floor when I was taking up cords with tape. I asked him how long he’s been working there, he said 4 months and I had to remind him of other past events that were there which would have completely RUINED the wood flooring! He walked away. It’s a small place but hard to get to overall.

Nice place — we’re here for Developer week. A little bit of a trek to get to, and uphill. Small parking lot too, but overall a nice little art gallery space. Very cool location right by the Bay Bridge.

My husband and I had our wedding reception here just a few weeks ago. The site is gorgeous! We booked the lower floor Mer which has a really cool vibe and plenty of space. There is also a small outdoor area which was great for friends or family members who wanted a break from the music or some fresh air. The décor and artwork are beautiful on their own so we didn’t need much décor. We loved the bamboo and succulents, cement floors, high ceilings and big open spaces. We sectioned off the space into a cocktail hour area/dance floor, and a dining area. It worked perfectly with our group of about 160. Stacy was incredible! We planned much of the wedding on our own with help from various family members. We didn’t always know what we were doing. Stacy made the process very easy and as stress free as a wedding could be! She quickly responded to any e-mails and questions and saw our wedding through to the very end. I felt SO confident with her our team the day of the wedding. She gave great suggestions and recommendations for people to work with. It also helped that she was going through the process of planning her own wedding and knew exactly what we were going through. The bathrooms were very clean and had little toiletries for guests to freshen up. They even set up a little side room for the bridal party to keep belongings, take a breather, or fix make-up. The bar team(they use Best Beverage Catering I believe) was wonderful– friendly and quick. There is no parking on site but guests were able to find street parking or there are lots nearby. Finding cabs was not an issue at the end of the night. Overall a great venue. If there was a problem the day of, I didn’t know about it! I would work with them again in a heartbeat.

Great space for an event. I came here for a conference hosted by Get Satisfaction, and it was a great experience. The upstairs portion of the venue has good acoustics for speakers, but the columns in the middle of the room got in the way of the screens showing the presentation. If you’re planning on a small crowd this won’t be a problem, but for larger audiences you’ll need to take into account that some people won’t be able to see. The downstairs has a great area for dining, as well as a nice coffee/snack bar for throughout any event. The acoustics downstairs however are a bit difficult. There is a definitely echo, and it made it hard to hear the presenters, and also amplified any sounds coming from the audience. I’d recommend having speakers in the dining area if possible to ease that issue. Other than that, the venue is great. The location is super easy whether you’re coming from inside the city or from out of the area. Right near the interstate, and easy access from public transportation. Bathrooms are immaculate and very modern, and everything went smoothly. The artwork on the walls gives it a great gallery feel, and I can imagine that weddings would be beautiful here. I’d definitely recommend this as a location for future events.

(See pic) Review #1357. Some time back, we came here for the very first San Francisco Patron event, namely Patron Aficionados. Oh boy, apart from learning the history and making of Patron, getting a taste of the most popular Patron tequilas, we were also able to have one of the top tequilas, Burdeos, that was only meant for showing but we were able to socialize our ways to get it! Seriously with all gratitude, that was the smoothest tequila that I had ever had, and with a true aficionado friend! The venue itself is spacious, beautiful, elegant, modern and was set up with multiple rooms for the event, high ceiling and a piano. But the event did not drown the art as the paintings were still flowing in between the different settings. This gallery can easily be an excellent choice for refreshing artistic events as well as traditional functions that exert a classic taste. It’s a bit far from foot traffic, which makes it a great venue for those who drive as street parking becomes pretty convenient.

They had the DunkXChange at this venue and it’s quite ridiculous. Right by the freeway enterance is convenient but also could be rather busy for traffic… I’d like to see this venue again but maybe as a better location for a party or a wedding rather than sneakers and such…

When we were looking for a wedding venue, my fiancé and I visited only two places: Terra and a luxury hotel that was your typical«all-inclusive» wedding package. After seeing the hotel, we turned right back around, went home, called Terra and asked if they were available to take a deposit. Terra is an extremely versatile venue that is a blank slate you could do pretty much anything with. The style is very«SOMA art gallery», with high ceilings, white painted cement walls, hardwood floor and floor to ceiling grid windows in a lounge area complete with couches and baby grand piano. In the year and a half I was planning, they went though some staffing changes, so I ended up working with three different contacts there. I never felt like details got lost in the shuffle, however, and Stacy(the final contact by our wedding day) was so great. She stayed in communication with our caterer and planner so everyone was on the same page and I didn’t really have to do much except answer the occasional question. One of the best things about Terra is your option to bring in any caterer you want. They handle everything else from lighting to bar service. I can’t recommend them enough.

Attended a wedding reception here. The venue wasn’t too big but not too small either. Probably the best size to hold a reception. The large windows and tall ceilings made the views look absolutely amazing. It was simple but a super cute place. I’m a fan of art galleries so that’s probably why I liked this place so much :)
