I’ve had one of my worst-ever consumer experiences with Sawanee at the Body Mechanic. I went to her originally because she a provider under the insurance(American Specialty Health which suuucks too, btw) I got from my company for medical massage. I thought I’d give it a try for some shoulder and back pain I’d been dealing with. Long story short: I go in, fill out the forms and provide my insurance info, have 4 – 5 massage appointments. My pain doesn’t improve, so I stop going. My insurance is never billed by Sawanee. Fast forward to August, and I am billed $ 150 on my credit card for the appointments. I call and complain to Sawanee and nothing is done. So I call and complain to the insurance company and they call her, and she refunds the money and texts me an apology. Fast forward again to November. I get charged $ 150 yet again. I go through this process again, but this time the insurance company shrugs their shoulders and Sawanee refuses my phone calls and texts and won’t refund the money. So I’ve had $ 150 stolen from me. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and American Specialty Health. Still no luck. So I’m putting this up to warn others not to go here unless they’d enjoy having money stolen from them and receiving sub-par massages.
